We went there knowing exactly what we wanted: raclette.
We ordered a raclette for three and were a little disappointed by the amount of cheese… I'll let you judge for yourselves from the photo.
The same goes for the side dishes; there weren't many potatoes or cured meats, so don't hesitate to ask for more (we didn't know that).
However, the raclette grill was nice, quite traditional, and the cheese was a real treat… 🤤🤤🤤
It's so good you can eat it even if you're not hungry! We wanted more and scraped every last bit.
All accompanied by a good bottle of red wine from Pic Saint Lou.
I recommend it if you're in the area; the pizzas looked very good too.

02/08/2026: The lady who runs the restaurant gave us a very warm welcome; we felt right at home. It has a real family atmosphere. The food was excellent, and the decor was lovely. I'm from Belgium and I highly recommend it!

26/08/2026: We had a delicious raclette. The service was excellent. The place is large (both inside and on the terrace) and there's (almost) always a table available. We left very satisfied. We'll be back.

Very poor quality.
The price/quality ratio is not fair.
I will definitely not come back to eat there.
However, having a drink there is fine.
22/08/2026: Not many options for enjoying a terrace this Saturday in August.
We discovered this bar with its worn-out furniture, sticky tables (no one wipes them down between customers), and a waitress who kept mixing up tables.
The amber Eguzki beer was decent, but the sangria was undrinkable.
Even the saucer with the bill was sticky.
Given the hygiene, I won't be eating there.

19/08/2026: I very rarely leave reviews, but I think this one might be helpful to people considering going to this restaurant.
The food was okay, but rather disappointing: the dishes clearly lacked flavor and character. Nothing bad per se, but I expected better.
The main problem, however, was the service. The waiter was extremely unpleasant. Every time I asked a question, I felt like I was bothering him. There was no warmth or friendliness whatsoever, to the point where I felt almost uncomfortable, as if I didn't belong in the restaurant.
19/08/2026: I received a very poor welcome… I absolutely do not recommend it. Like the previous reviews, it's all talk and no action.

19/08/2026: We stayed at the Mercure Saint Lary on a half-board basis and thoroughly enjoyed the breakfasts and dinners served at La Mangeoire, the hotel restaurant. The buffet breakfast was very varied and comprehensive (special mention for the egg bar). For dinner, all the dishes were refined and delicious.
The service was pleasant and efficient.

23/06/2026: Beautiful decor, pleasant service, but zero food. I ordered rare beef fillet, and it was overcooked twice in a row. The reason is simple: the meat comes from the freezer, so it's impossible to get it cooked even rare.

27/07/2024: De la cuisine raffinée et savoureuse dans un très joli cadre, service impeccable. Nous avons opté pour la formule du terroir à 38€. Tout était parfait.
04/07/2024: Nous étions à l'hôtel Mir et n'avons pas hésiter à diner au même endroit.
Un restaurant très convivial où nous nous sommes fort régalés 2 soirs d'affilé. La décoration rustique est de très bon goût, on s'y sent bien.
Les plats sont dignes d'une cuisine gastronomique.
Les assiettes sont bien remplies et les plats délicieux.
Le personnel est à vos petits soins, disponible, compétant et très souriant. Le Chef vient nous demander si tout se passe bien et est très abordable.
C'était un vrai plaisir, ne pas hésiter vous ne serez pas déçus.

08/08/2024: Cet endroit est tout simplement magique !
Niché dans une petite vallée magnifique et accessible en effectuant une petite heure de marche à l’ombre, ce petit restaurant est tout simplement parfait. Le service est agréable et la nourriture vraiment excellente. Ils sont en effet fournis par les fromagers du Mont Royal et par l’enseigne de pâtisseries et glaces Madame Monsieur.
Nous avons adoré et nous recommandons fortement (surtout pour les gens qui n’aiment pas trop la marche et qui ont besoin d’une réelle motivation…)
07/08/2024: Belle randonnée pour accéder aux hospices. Bons plats. L'humour plus que limité voire antipathique de l'une des serveuses est à revoir en revanche . Elle ne colle pas avec le cadre et le restaurant .

16/03/2024: L'organisation du self n'est pas adaptée à la fréquentation, cuissons des steaks lamentables, pourtant J'aime la viande saignante!!!!!! La cuisson est le reflet du manque d organisation!!
A éviter vu le prix mais surtout les prestations!!
03/03/2024: Nous arrivons à 16h00 en famille pour une pause , en pleine période de vacances scolaires. Le temps est couvert mais le télésiège en face ne ferme qu’à 16h30. La personne qui prend notre commande est visiblement agacée par notre visite ‘ tardive’. Nous sommes servis en 1 minute chrono, et d’un coup plusieurs personnes empilent les chaises, rangent les tables et la terrasse se vide d’un coup ! On sent clairement que l’on dérange et qu’il faut vite déguerpir… Nous terminons assez rapidement du coup, refroidis par l’ambiance et retrouvons nos skis et bâtons jetés par terre car tous les porte-skis mis à disposition des clients ont été rangés. Impression de déranger … Clairement le client n’est pas une priorité. Dommage car le cadre est magnifique.
