06/04/2026: Another excellent restaurant where we always receive a warm welcome. Special mention for the trout gravlax and the menu featuring Bigorre black pork, a local specialty. They also gave us great advice on choosing the perfect wine pairing. We come back every year, summer and winter.

02/04/2026: A wonderful evening at this little restaurant in Saint-Larry-la-Grange. Simple, generous, and well-prepared cuisine—exactly what we were looking for. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming. Special mention to the waiter: attentive, smiling, and present without being intrusive. A welcome like this is rarely seen, which made the evening even more enjoyable. Very reasonable prices. We will definitely be back. Highly recommended.

18/04/2026: We had a wonderful time at La Galette d’Or! We were served quickly. The dining room seats about 20, and up to 40 in the summer with the outdoor seating, so it's best to book in advance during peak season. We received a very warm welcome from an extremely pleasant, friendly, and humorous gentleman, which made the experience even more enjoyable. We also greatly appreciated the involvement of the owner and his wife, who particularly enjoys making homemade crêpe batter, which adds a real touch of authenticity. The savory galettes are thin, with a truly delicious homemade batter, and generously filled with high-quality ingredients sourced from local producers. The batter, for both the savory and sweet crêpes, is homemade, and you can taste the difference! The sweet crêpes are just as good: the homemade chocolate is excellent, and the salted caramel is simply divine. Special mention goes to the homemade vanilla ice cream, which is also excellent, and you can taste it from the first bite! The prices are very reasonable considering the quality offered. In addition to the delicious food, we learned a lot about the origins of the products, which made the experience even more enriching. A place I highly recommend!

29/03/2026: I called to order takeout pizza. They said no because they're on duty. I asked for a table and they said no again. It's impossible to eat here. I don't understand what their customer service issues are.

15/03/2026: Very good restaurant. We went there knowing exactly what we wanted: raclette. We ordered a raclette for three and were a little disappointed by the amount of cheese… I'll let you judge for yourselves from the photo. The same goes for the side dishes; there weren't many potatoes or cured meats, so don't hesitate to ask for more (we didn't know that). However, the raclette grill was nice, quite traditional, and the cheese was a real treat… 🤤🤤🤤 It's so good you can eat it even if you're not hungry! We wanted more and scraped every last bit. All accompanied by a good bottle of red wine from Pic Saint Lou. I recommend it if you're in the area; the pizzas looked very good too.

03/03/2026: We had a weekend with friends, and this restaurant was recommended to us, but we were very disappointed by the owner who showed us incredible disdain. Luckily, the chef made us eat wonderfully, which made us forget this appalling welcome that we won't soon forget.

29/03/2026: Perfection is the best way to describe this tea room. Returning from a busy week in Spain, we stopped by this establishment with friends. The welcome was immediately warm from all the members of the team. The drinks and treats arrived very quickly and, above all, were excellent—a special mention for the hot dark chocolate, which was perfectly melted. All these thoughtful touches are enhanced by staff who genuinely care about their customers and share their good cheer! It's a true haven of warmth in the heart of this mountain village. I highly recommend it!

18/02/2026: The welcome was very friendly. The cheese is really good; in any case, you can taste it before you buy! The ham is also very good. We were offered a little aperitif. The prices are reasonable for this type of establishment. We've had other, much less pleasant experiences in this village. We'll definitely be back.

26/03/2026: A quick lunch on the terrace, consisting of two courses (sausage and chops) plus two drinks. The portions were generous, the meat flavorful, the fries crispy, and the bill not too expensive (€44). One waitress was very friendly and welcoming, the other a little less so.

19/03/2026: Appalling. Clearly, politeness and courtesy have melted away like snow in the sun… At the entrance, it says there's a vegetarian burger, but that section has disappeared from the menu… We politely asked if the lady had anything to offer as a vegetarian option, and she curtly replied "no" and left. A salad would have been fine so I wouldn't have to watch my partner eat… but apparently, the lady didn't feel like working… If not eating meat is a crime in her eyes, a simple "sorry, I don't have a solution" and a look, if not a smile, would have been appropriate. Edit: In response to your comment, you should have at least offered some suggestion instead of curtly replying "no" without any consideration for our question.
