01/04/2026: Excellent discovery! The presentation of the dishes was very elegant, with plants and flowers. Homemade dishes, quality ingredients, refined flavors. The menu was very reasonably priced with generous portions. A seasonal menu that makes you want to explore. We'll be back! We mustn't forget to mention the pleasant setting with beautiful tablecloths, a patio (when the wind dies down...) and a friendly and very professional welcome. A view into the kitchen where the chef greets you. We highly recommend it if you're in Balaruc 👋
24/03/2026: An excellent discovery. Sometimes chance works in mysterious ways. Exceptional value for money. The restaurant is magnificent; we were lucky enough to eat outside in the small garden, a haven of tranquility. Both the presentation and the quality of the dishes were impeccable. The side dishes were particularly well-crafted: a variety of vegetables, each cooked differently and perfectly seasoned. The welcome was superb; the owner (I assume) is incredibly kind, a rare find these days.
In short, you get the picture. This is a truly excellent restaurant. We will definitely be back.

09/03/2026: Fantastic welcome, the staff are incredibly attentive, and the receptionist is always smiling. There's a great atmosphere on weekends with music and a variety of entertainment, as well as meals worthy of a casino. As for the slot machines, they're rare, but they're fun, and the payout rate is reasonable, unlike many other casinos in the area! Even though it's a bit of a drive, we'll gladly return regularly.

The welcome was fantastic.
The quality was excellent.
The price was more than reasonable.
We had a wonderful, unpretentious time, unlike other restaurants that were expensive.

15/10/2025: It was surprisingly good! We were on our bikes and stopped for a snack. At first we were hesitant, but then we wanted to try it. There's even an outdoor restroom, and the seating is very comfortable.
We received a very friendly welcome. The guests here also greet each other! We even got a small snack to try! Everything is freshly made and delicious! At one point, we were even asked if we wanted some water.
We definitely recommend Chez Solo. The fries were excellent and another highlight. Thank you for the great service!

01/03/2026: We came as a family to try the seafood macaronade.
It was very good and very generous, but there were fewer stuffed mussels than usual, and the langoustines were also missing.
Furthermore, instead of being served on our plates, two large platters were brought to the table almost simultaneously with the aperitifs.
The wines we ordered were served nearly at the end of the meal. There was no system in place to keep the dishes warm on the table: the macaronade was cold....
There was no bread on the table either. We were disappointed with the service, but the staff were pleasant.

13/11/2025: A family-run restaurant that doesn't look like much from the outside, but where the welcome is incredibly warm. The portions are generous, the flank steak was excellent (I arrived too late for the paella, which looked very appetizing and plentiful). From the mother at the counter and with dessert, to the father in the kitchen, and the sons serving, everyone is incredibly attentive. I'll definitely be back for next year.

01/11/2025: We ate there several times during our treatment. Each time we ordered the daily special. The portions were generous and delicious. The service was friendly and welcoming.
It's best to make a reservation.

16/02/2026: We had dinner Sunday evening, not many people, which is normal for this time of year. The fish soup was tasteless, the fish was poor quality and cold, and the side dishes were uninteresting. Dessert was nonexistent.
The setting is beautiful, but the food is not up to par.

24/03/2026: For a birthday celebration with over 30 guests, we enjoyed a truly personalized service. All the staff, both in the dining room and the kitchen, were incredibly attentive. They allowed us to fully enjoy the event. We would particularly like to highlight the professionalism and kindness of the owners; they were attentive to our needs throughout the entire event. We were very satisfied with the quality of the meal prepared for us. We highly recommend this establishment and will definitely return.

18/03/2026: Superb place! The staff, including the owner, are very pleasant and friendly. Very customer-oriented, a wonderful memory, I'll be back very soon.
15/03/2026: Lunch this Sunday: a dish of frozen shrimp (or at least not fresh at all), a 280g ribeye steak—well, not even 200g if you take away the ton of fat. €24 for a ribeye is highway robbery, and it was either frozen or extremely undercooked.
The dishes came with salad and no dressing (well, a few drops under the lettuce leaves).
And like many restaurants, you barely start sipping your aperitif before they bring you the main course! (The implication being, hurry up and eat, pay us, and your table will be used for a second seating.) I gave it two stars because the sauces are homemade (and they certainly emphasize this when you order, since it must be the only homemade food) and they are good. We tried it, we tasted it, we won't be back, and we'll be sure to let everyone know. In short, keep walking.

Suivi par une agréable serveuse au cheveux long et tres souriante en terrasse. Je recommande ce restaurant pour une restauration de qualité les yeux fermés.

11/11/2024: Belle découverte plats locaux. Bon accueil et bon service. Pas d'attente. Belle vue sur l'étang de Thau et sete. Café gourmand bon et copieux.
01/11/2024: Aujourd'hui c'est choucroute de la mer, nous avons donc réservé dans cet établissement. Idéalement situé au bord de la lagune de Thau, le personnel est souriant et sympathique. Etant un jour férié il y avait du monde, mais cela n'a pas empêché que le service se passe bien. Les crevettes en beignet très bonnes, la choucroute excellente et généreuse, les poissons sont fins et bons, le chou n'est pas acide, le tout impeccable. Pour finir une ile flottante...tout c'est très bien passé, j'y retournerai avec plaisir .
