15/03/2026: A lovely discovery for my birthday! The main course, fish, was delicious. The flan dessert was absolutely divine! The dining room was nicely decorated, with just a minor drawback being the lighting intensity… but that didn't spoil my overall positive experience.

14/02/2026: We came for Valentine's Day, having made a reservation in advance. It was a wonderful evening and the food was fantastic. The staff and chef were very welcoming, and as a bonus, we received a rose. The meal was delicious, and the Valentine's Day cocktail was also excellent. I highly recommend this establishment. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Thank you.

11/03/2026: I discovered this place quite by chance, and it was wonderful. Arriving early meant we had no problem getting a table. The owner is very friendly, always smiling, and helpful! The place has a real sense of ownership, with walls steeped in history, evident in photos and newspaper clippings. The food is simple yet generous and truly delicious. A €16 set menu with a starter, main course, and dessert is unheard of these days! In short, I had a great meal, chatted a bit with the owner, and had a lovely time. 🙂

29/12/2025: It's not a gourmet restaurant, it's a canteen. But what a canteen! The welcome is exceptionally warm. Louise and her husband, with over 60 years of experience, embody the very soul of this place. It's a cult spot, a must-visit, where you can eat cheaply and the homemade fries are a real treat. It's a Saint-Étienne institution. 🫶🏻 Here, you don't come for the decor, but for the authenticity, the simplicity, and the human touch. A canteen for those who don't have much, but who want to eat and be well received. A place full of soul, profoundly welcoming. If you're looking for a little escape from this fast-paced world, I recommend going there. It's that simple.

The food was excellent, all homemade and very fresh, thanks to Alice, and the welcome and service from David were perfect. 28/03/2026: The restaurant has lost a lot of its quality. €40 for very little (a very simple dish with no real flavor). Those days of delicious food are long gone. Please consider lowering your prices for traditional cuisine that lacks any truly extraordinary taste. Sorry, Alexis.

14/03/2026: Lunch with colleagues was perfect from start to finish. They respected our schedule, provided excellent service, and the meal was delicious. I highly recommend it!

21/03/2026: Pleasant setting and friendly atmosphere. However, a few disappointing aspects of the food: the fries were far too salty, the salad too peppery, and the tartare and trout were served with a tiny cooked endive—a rather unusual combination that won't appeal to everyone. The burger, on the other hand, was very good, with perfectly cooked meat, but the pepper sauce was a bit too oily, and the side dish included very few fries, which were also overly salty. Closed at 11 p.m.
