Après la commande, nous patentions … beaucoup … nous sommes servis à 15h15. Les plats étaient néanmoins bons. Vraiment dommage que la cuisine ne soit visiblement pas dimensionnée correctement. 05/05/2024: Je n'aime pas les entrées en pâte style amuse gueule, en général secs et fades. Un jour j'ai gouté le plat de mon épouse, depuis à chaque fois que je vais à ce restaurant je prends le friand au chèvre et au miel, bien craquant à l'extérieur, moelleux au centre, gouteux, servi avec un assortiment varié de crudités, un régal toujours renouvelé. Mon plat préféré ? La souris d'agneau mais cela dépend de la saison pour en avoir.

12/05/2024: Face aux Halles de Souillac, la déco est simpliste et sans âme avec plafond suspendu en dalles, dommage pour un quartier historique. L'accueil et le service sont parfait. Nous avions pris les coquillettes aux truffes, c'est bon mais avec trois rondelles extra fines de truffes ça fait cher l'assiette : 23€ !!!
L'assiette de fromage et le café gourmand rien à dire

11/05/2024: Une jolie maison avec une cuisine créative tout en finesse, en entrée une burrata aux asperges, betteraves et mortadelle. Trop de burrata à mon goût qui prends le dessus, dommage. Pour le plat, un très bon boeuf thaï en tagliatta et un dessert sublime, cannelloni croustillant au mascarpone vanille, pommes pochées au sirop d’hibiscus, un régal absolu.
Je recommande ce restaurant qui propose des produits de qualité avec plats aux saveurs originales. L’équipe est très efficace et très souriante !
11/05/2024: Notre déjeuner au restaurant Le Cantou a été une bonne expérience! Malgré notre arrivée tardive à 14h, ils ont rapidement trouvé une table pour nous. Ils nous ont également avertis qu'il y aurait un peu d'attente en raison de l'affluence.
La cuisine était délicieuse, avec des plats préparés avec des produits frais et savoureux. Même s'il y a eu un peu d'attente, la qualité des plats n'a pas été compromise.
L'ambiance était agréable et le cadre sympathique, parfait pour un déjeuner entre amis ou en famille.
En résumé, nous avons passé un excellent moment et nous recommandons vivement Le Cantou à tous ceux qui recherchent une bonne cuisine et un service sympathique. Bravo à toute l'équipe pour leur travail !

04/06/2024: Always the Top. Several stays in this magnificent place. Beautiful hotel in a superb setting with a very good starred restaurant all at a very reasonable price. In addition, staff and managers are very available, smiling, and very good at listening to customers. It's a shame not to be able to give more than 5 stars...
To be more truthful, a criticism that comes to mind, the chairs on the balcony are very uncomfortable
The icing on the cake: an important and magnificent collection of tapestry by Jean Lurçat visible in the restaurants.

GOOD.
Comfortable room with terrace.
The discovery menu is perfect from start to finish visually and tastefully and the sommelier gave us very good advice.
The restaurant rooms immerse us in the world of Lurçat and thank you to Ms. Bizat for her knowledge of the artist and the discussions we had with her.
In addition, a very beautiful exhibition of animal bronzes.
We will come back!...for the truffle menu..

09/11/2023: A place that we discovered thanks to a “Michelin discovery box”. You have to get there, via the small roads of this magnificent region, but once there... it's luxury, happiness and voluptuousness! The restaurant, at the water's edge, under shady trees, displays all its charm, as much by its location, its furniture, as by its cuisine. What a treat to taste this delicacy in such a setting! Only happiness. And if we haven't tried the hotel part, in this wonderfully bucolic setting, we promise... we'll come back!

01/03/2024: After visiting and having lunch in Rocamadour, I spotted this glacier and I was not disappointed. The ice cream was excellent and what about the whipped cream. It's been a long time since I ate one with this creamy, non-chemical taste. And then how nice it is to eat ice cream in the garden while admiring the goats. And then in these times when farmers are demanding, it's direct sales as I like them. Let's support our local producers who successfully choose diversification.

You have the possibility to rent a room or an apartment "la maison du Gindreau". Very very good and “Star” breakfast.
