11/10/2024: Friendly small local bar. Popped in on consecutive evenings for drinks whilst staying at the adjacent camping-car site. Only had drinks, met a lady and gent from England who moved to the area before Brexit and seemed to be living the dream and best life here in Cahors. The drinks weren't expensive. The bar owner was friendly enough, very pleasant and polite plus he has a very friendly lab and staffie cross dog, a very cute dog. Open between 4pm and 7pm most days, Monday to Friday. The boulangerie is closed, but you can buy croissants and bread at Le Rond Point. Croissants €1.50 each. 27/08/2025: We had a wonderful week at Relais Sainte Anne. The place is authentic and full of charm, the cottage is comfortable and very well equipped. The swimming pool is a real bonus for soaking up the sun and cooling off. A big thank you to Séverine and Didier for their warm welcome and helpfulness. Martel is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful villages in the Lot region, which made our stay even more enjoyable.

24/08/2025: A fantastic stay with friends in a wonderful setting. We stayed at the Cottage, a charming and comfortable accommodation with beautiful bedrooms and a lovely terrace. The estate's gardens are magnificent, and we thoroughly enjoyed swimming in the pool in such a beautiful setting. The location is ideal, allowing you to explore the pretty village of Martel on foot, an excellent starting point for discovering the magnificent historical and natural heritage of the Dordogne Valley. Finally, we received a very warm welcome from our hosts, who were incredibly attentive to our needs.

27/08/2024: It's a small restaurant that I discovered by chance following a visit to the Pont Valentré; the nice terrace with a few tables on the sidewalk caught my attention. Seeing the dish of the day at 11.90 euros, a sirloin with pepper sauce and fries, I immediately asked if a table was free. Total surprise, hearty dish and quality meat for a price far from the restaurants in the city center. The service was pleasant and fast, we could chat quietly without having to deal with the conversation from neighboring tables, I loved it. Thank you to the waitresses who were constantly moving in all directions with a smile and a particular kindness to the well-being of the customers despite the heatwave. Thanks to the team, excellent and really affordable meal (11 euros/person with bottles of water).

17/08/2024: It is on the street that leads to the Pont Valentré, the most famous attraction in Cahors, so you find it on the way from the city center. It is a menu and fast food bar. Your proposal is honest. They treated us well and in Spanish, so everything was easier. The price was affordable, so no complaints. We were right because we wanted to eat something quick and easy. The bathroom is mixed and small but very clean. I give it four stars for the detail of the language.

05/09/2024: The reception is polite but rather directive. The dishes tasted were very good. The prices are rather high considering the location and the nature of the dishes.

30/09/2025: A wonderful stopover during our cycling trip. A place where nature reigns supreme, where you can sleep under a starry canopy, reminding you that vacation is also about these moments. Our glamping experience was truly comfortable, but the ultimate pleasure was our dinner at the restaurant. In addition to having an incredible terrace overlooking the pool, it offers delicious dishes, an interesting wine list, and friendly, straightforward service. Thank you for your welcome.

19/04/2024: RDV avec Cédric, l'ex-patron de chez Moulino, au resto "Chez KLEBER" à Villefranche de Rouergue sur la place à partir de fin avril - plein de promesses gourmandes en perspective! Pour l'ancien Moulino devenu "Cap ou pas cap", la reprise se fait sans souci! Nous voilà avec 2 bonnes adresses dans la région!

02/08/2024: Langs een vrij drukke straat. Wel vriendelijke bediening. Eten was niet slecht maar kon beter. Alles was netjes en proper.

04/06/2024: Stopped for an unplanned dinner on a rainy night. They were very friendly,y finding us a table inside, on better nights they have lots of outside tables. Short bistro menu with the food serviced quickly and a good choice of Cahors wines.

01/09/2024: Restaurant très sympa situé dans un petit village atypique, et dont la terrasse a une superbe vue sur la vallée et les collines. Le service est de qualité. La carte est assez courte, mais les plats sont de qualité. Les assiettes, de l’entrée au dessert, sont bien fournies mais pas trop, c’est juste ce qu’il faut. Le tout servi chaud et plutôt rapidement. Tout est réuni pour passer un très bon moment.

25/01/2026: A very quiet and charming inn, as each room has a theme (ours was "Little Red Riding Hood"). The owner is very warm, welcoming, and an animal lover. I highly recommend it.

30/08/2024: Nous connaissions cet endroit que nous avions apprécié pour la qualité des produits et l'accueil, avec une vue pour compléter notre repas et y avons emmené la famille 14 personnes, où nous nous sommes régalés dans une ambiance chaleureuse

29/10/2024: When we arrived, they had “forgotten” that the reservation was PRM, despite my two direct calls. And when the elevator that led to all the rooms broke down, they told the repairman “no emergency” and therefore no possibility of sleeping! They thought of giving us a mediocre and expensive dinner before sending us 20 km in the fog to the only PMR guest house possible in the middle of the school holidays. No excuses, commercial gesture (ah if a diabolo and a small beer, requested….). Aggression of the staff! more sinister and cold place. Refusal of a fire, the open chimney being…. broken-down !!!!! In short, to escape! (The locals we met afterwards all told us that they avoided like the plague)
