The ingredients were high quality, the culinary combinations were beautiful, and above all, the wine list offered a wide variety of wines recommended by a very friendly and knowledgeable sommelier. The ambiance could be warmer, but everything else more than makes up for it.

06/02/2026: Superb experience, this is my second time here with colleagues. The starter buffet was very varied. There were three main courses to choose from with different sides, plus several desserts. On top of all that, cider or wine and coffee were included. And the price was quite reasonable.

My only complaint is that it's a shame this place is a bit removed from the center of Ambrières, or even the Mayenne region. But I highly recommend you go and try their simple, efficient, and family-style menu, which is typically Northern French. Reservations for Sunday are essential... The price-quality ratio (€20-€30 for a starter, main course, and dessert) is very good, and everything is homemade... Go and discover this charming little place!

08/03/2026: Passing through Château-Gontier for work, I stopped by this establishment. The staff were friendly and helpful. However, the food was disappointing. The menu was far too extensive, with too many choices. I suspect many of the meals were pre-prepared, resulting in bland dishes and tasteless sauces.
