Homemade cuisine and a very welcoming and chatty owner.
The only slight drawback is that the dining room is a bit noisy in the evening compared to the lunchtime area.
10/05/2026: Friendly welcome, the buffet is decent, the main course very good, as are the cheese and dessert platter. Coffee and wine are included. It's a shame that sometimes the tables are filled with construction workers. 16 euros

19/02/2026: A perfect welcome! The owner truly goes out of his way to take care of his customers, attentive and warm, which makes the experience particularly pleasant. The dishes are beautifully presented, as beautiful as they are delicious, and the cuisine is excellent. A place I recommend without hesitation and where I will gladly return!

03/04/2026: We come to Sévigné for lunch almost every week. We're always on a tight schedule, and we're always served promptly. The service is always excellent, the welcome is always warm, and the food is always delicious. I highly recommend it and suggest calling ahead to make a reservation, as it's often full.
02/04/2026: I went to eat there a few days ago with my family, the service was perfect with a smile from the waitress, the meal was also excellent with a homemade terrine that was worth the trip as well as an excellent fish fillet at a very reasonable price, I recommend this establishment.

The pork ribs were melt-in-your-mouth tender, the fries crispy, and the drinks ice-cold. Yum! 😋 The staff was welcoming, and the atmosphere was relaxed. If I lived in Laval, I'd come here often! I highly recommend it! 👍👍

The La Marmite roadside restaurant in Mayenne is truly excellent: generous portions, delicious and well-prepared ingredients, and above all, a warm, homey welcome. You immediately feel at ease.
Excellent value for money, I highly recommend it.
13/04/2026: We arrived and parked our camper in the parking lot.
My puppy was being walked and I was waiting for her; suddenly the owner came charging at me like a pitbull and yelled, "This is a private parking spot!" He came at me with bulging eyes. I said, "Calm down," and he gave me a shove. The coffee cup went up in the air and he kept screaming, "Get off!" he yelled.
After a lot of screaming, we just left.
You wouldn't want to eat here with such an aggressive owner.

10/05/2026: We had a lovely time at the tavern. The food was good, and the welcome was warm and genuine. We were served quickly, allowing us to be on time for our early afternoon cave tour. We felt right at home. The price was reasonable considering the menu and the quality of the ingredients. Thank you for the hospitality!
26/04/2026: Very little seems to be cooked on-site (frozen, pre-packaged...).
Weekend prices are really expensive, and you're forced to take the full set menu (starter + main course + dessert) for €30...
Meat was sent back to the kitchen to be cooked.
The setting is very pleasant by the water, but the service is very disappointing for the price.

07/11/2025: We'd not been here for a few years after it closed between new owners. The menu was a choice of 2 mains. We had both and tried each other's. Massive plus, was HOT food and HOT plates. Something, other restaurants could do. Plenty of food. All nice. 3 course for 15.50e plus my wife had cheese.

05/04/2026: Hello, we are regular customers of your establishment. The staff is very friendly, but we stopped by yesterday. The coffee used to be as good as before, but unfortunately, it has lost its quality. The taste is harsh, no longer Arabica, and we are not the only ones to notice this. It's a shame because at €1.90, it could be better. It would be kind of you to remedy this. Thank you very much.
