15/06/2026: We chose Maison Tual as our caterer for our wedding, and what can I say except that everything was perfect. I thank the entire team for their professionalism. Thank you for the meal, which was a hit with all our guests. The team was attentive from beginning to end. I highly recommend them; they are people who love what they do. They are true artisan butchers and caterers who prioritize fresh products and local expertise. A must-visit in Douai for those seeking excellence. A huge thank you, we thoroughly enjoyed it. I highly recommend them!

13/07/2026: Friendly waitresses, the owner too, reasonable prices and good food. We ate there on Saturday at lunchtime (7 people) and again in the evening (17 people) on the back terrace, even though it was a bit late. The waitresses managed it really well. It was for the French pétanque championship in Douai.

26/06/2026: What a wonderful discovery in Douai! We had a very pleasant time at this restaurant. The dishes were generously portioned and beautifully presented. I particularly enjoyed the foie gras with fresh raspberries and toasted bread slices; it was a true feast for the eyes and the palate. Everything was perfectly prepared. We will gladly return to try the rest of the menu.

11/07/2026: Disappointment. During my last visit, I was eating at the restaurant when I was served a dish in which I noticed two hairs. I pointed this out to the waitress, who took my plate away and then returned, saying, "I've removed them." So she had removed the hairs to serve me the same dish. I asked for a different dish, since my friends were already served. When I went to the register, I was asked, "Did everything go well?" I replied that it didn't and explained why. I received no apology or gesture of goodwill; on the contrary, I felt like my word was being questioned. So that was the last time I went there.

21/06/2026: We went there with colleagues on Thursday, June 18th. Very welcoming. Delicious food. Pleasant service. We ate on the terrace. I recommend it.

23/06/2026: Hello, I had heard great things about your pastry shop, but now I understand why the young saleswoman didn't show me the pavlova! It was supposed to serve 6 people at 5 euros a slice. It wasn't tall enough, the fruit was minimal, and look at the size (if I may add a photo), it was the size of my hand...it's shameful, barely enough for 4 people, if that. In response to your message left today, I didn't see the dessert because I was only shown a box tied with string. So, I'm not questioning the price of the cake, but the size! As for the pavlova recipe, the meringue isn't flat but hollowed out, not filled with 1 cm of cream and a few scattered fruits. It's a shame you don't consider the quality and quantity of your pastries. Sincerely.

11/07/2026: Very disappointed. I come to this bar all year round and I've never had the slightest problem. Yet, on the day they were showing the French national team match, I was refused entry because I was told I was too young. I don't understand this logic: if my age has never been a problem before, why would it be different just that one night? I found it unfair and inconsistent. It's really a shame to be treated differently depending on the event, especially when you're a regular customer.

10/07/2026: During the France-Morocco quarter-final, my friends and I were refused entry by the bouncer as if we were dirt. No coherent explanation, just flimsy excuses. The most absurd thing is that we're loyal customers. We come almost every weekend, five or six of us, we reserve a table, we regularly spend around €200, and despite all that, never a gesture of goodwill, never a free drink, never the slightest consideration. Clearly, customer loyalty doesn't matter here. We felt judged solely because we're young, even though we've always been respectful and have always been customers. There are establishments in Douai that know how to recognize their regulars and welcome them with respect. Here, they prefer to turn us away without explanation. For us, that's it. I strongly advise against this pub if you're looking for a place where customers are treated properly.
