26/06/2026: A delightful time spent at this Douai restaurant. The cuisine is generous, authentic, and everything we tasted was perfectly prepared.
The gratin was absolutely delicious with a beautifully golden crust, just the way we like it. Paired with a local beer, it was the ideal meal to enjoy in a convivial atmosphere. I highly recommend this place for a great meal.

10/04/2026: I used Maison Tual for my Easter family meal and everything was perfect. The meat was of exceptional quality and the cooking advice was spot on.
They are true artisan butchers and caterers who prioritize fresh products and local expertise. A must-visit in Douai for those seeking excellence.

31/05/2026: A first experience that will be the last. We booked for 20 people, and upon arrival, we were surprised to find ourselves seated at one table of 16 and another of four. What right do they have to separate customers under the pretext of needing to set up the karaoke projector?! And the karaoke host? Don't even get me started—he was extremely unpleasant.
The only redeeming feature of this otherwise negative experience was the kindness and helpfulness of the waitress. Well done to her.
31/05/2026: We went yesterday and had a lovely welcome. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, especially the chef. The waitress was also very kind and the atmosphere was fantastic. We had a great time and will definitely be back. Thank you!

11/07/2026: Disappointment. During my last visit, I was eating at the restaurant when I was served a dish in which I noticed two hairs. I pointed this out to the waitress, who took my plate away and then returned, saying, "I've removed them." So she had removed the hairs to serve me the same dish. I asked for a different dish, since my friends were already served. When I went to the register, I was asked, "Did everything go well?" I replied that it didn't and explained why. I received no apology or gesture of goodwill; on the contrary, I felt like my word was being questioned.
So that was the last time I went there.

Very welcoming.
Delicious food.
Pleasant service.
We ate on the terrace.
I recommend it.

15/04/2026: Absolutely exceptional. We started with the profiteroles with Maroilles cheese. The sauce was the best Maroilles sauce we've tasted in several restaurants. Our main courses, the Flemish carbonnade and the chicken in beer sauce, were divine. If you're looking for a restaurant in Douai, look no further and head straight to Le Bistrot du Tigre – it's the best possible choice!

11/07/2026: Very disappointed. I come to this bar all year round and I've never had the slightest problem. Yet, on the day they were showing the French national team match, I was refused entry because I was told I was too young. I don't understand this logic: if my age has never been a problem before, why would it be different just that one night? I found it unfair and inconsistent. It's really a shame to be treated differently depending on the event, especially when you're a regular customer.
10/07/2026: During the France-Morocco quarter-final, my friends and I were refused entry by the bouncer as if we were dirt. No coherent explanation, just flimsy excuses.
The most absurd thing is that we're loyal customers. We come almost every weekend, five or six of us, we reserve a table, we regularly spend around €200, and despite all that, never a gesture of goodwill, never a free drink, never the slightest consideration.
Clearly, customer loyalty doesn't matter here. We felt judged solely because we're young, even though we've always been respectful and have always been customers.
There are establishments in Douai that know how to recognize their regulars and welcome them with respect. Here, they prefer to turn us away without explanation. For us, that's it. I strongly advise against this pub if you're looking for a place where customers are treated properly.

The servers are great and very friendly, but the owners are snubbing customers. As a result, we haven't tried the food yet.
23/05/2026: This person is unpleasant. I come regularly, and this time he closed the shutters before closing time and kicked us out like trash, even though it wasn't even closing time.

A disgrace for this usually well-known chip shop!

Very good dinner, we had a very pleasant time and the employees are very friendly. I highly recommend, I don't usually leave reviews for restaurants but this one is worth it!!
