14/07/2026: A Lille institution for those who love to party and discover up-and-coming artists and new musical styles. It's also a great spot for thirty-somethings like myself who don't always know where to go to have fun in Lille. It's spacious and well-located. The drinks are so-so and a bit pricey, though. I didn't try the kitchen area; I don't even know if it's still there. Overall, it's a place where you can easily meet people and leave having had a great time!

29/11/2025: The food was excellent: fresh ingredients, clean flavors, beautifully plated. The service, however, was unprofessional and abysmal. After the fish course, the dirty plates sat untouched for 45 minutes, until I finally bussed them myself because they smelled. I had to wander the restaurant to find the server and ask for the check, cancelling dessert. When I said I shouldn’t be charged for a dish I no longer wanted, the waiter snapped, “You chose it, you pay for it.” This place is not worth it.

25/11/2025: A well-deserved 5 stars. From the amuse-bouche to the dessert, everything was perfect. The ingredients were very fresh, local, and chosen according to what's available at the market. Not to mention the very friendly welcome and impeccable service. Excellent value for money. You absolutely must go.

18/05/2026: Excellent find! Super chill atmosphere, even on a sunny Saturday. The room was cool, and we were the only ones there. The place has real charm, a blend of an old building with creaky floorboards and a youthful, community-oriented vibe. The drinks were good, but above all, the barista wasn't pushy at all. I waited for my friends before ordering; she didn't ask me any questions or ask me to order, which was extremely appreciated! The little free library upstairs was perfect for when I waited.

20/07/2026: They apparently don't serve "free drinks," according to the waiter. We were refused a glass of water, even though it's the law to serve it upon request. A syrup drink with water cost €3.50, and they didn't even give us change (€0.50). Outrageous!

16/07/2026: After a trip to Lille today, we ordered a full Welsh rarebit. To our surprise, our food was served in a semblance of Welsh rarebit. It looked more like a Welsh rarebit sandwich – that's the real name for this dish. After asking one of the waiters what kind of cheddar cheese it was, he unsurprisingly replied, "Welsh grated." Sorry, paying for a Welsh rarebit and getting a Welsh rarebit sandwich are two different things. For a real Welsh rarebit, the best cheese is Galloway, a restaurant owner who didn't even know what that cheese was when I asked him. Avoid this place if you want a Welsh rarebit, and he even admitted it, but the waiter was completely unhelpful.

02/07/2026: I saw the overall rating given by the public, I'm shocked lol Honestly, I've lived in the area for 5 months and this is my local bakery, and I honestly don't think it's anything special. It seems to be taking full advantage of its location and the associations it makes (it's in Old Lille, a rustic building, so you'd think the products would be too). Well, actually, no. Every time I've bought a ham and butter sandwich there, the bread wasn't soft, but almost stale in texture. (Between noon and 3 pm) The bread is the same, but I mostly bought it in the evening, so it has the excuse of being past its prime. (Around 6 pm) But what motivated me to leave a comment is that this morning at 8:30 am they were out of pain au chocolat. I... what? So early and already sold out? With the locals' bird-like appetites? Defrost a bit more, really, don't you think? Honestly, Aziza in Wazemmes is better, even though their bread isn't very well baked. Still, you're better than the bakery at the Wazemmes metro station, which is the worst, or even the one on Place Vanhoenecker. But don't aim to be the worst, try to be the best, please. The staff is lovely, hence the 2 stars, but I buy bread and pastries there, not good times with the staff.
