05/04/2024: A very nice discovery! We had known the name for a long time but had never tried it until then. The dishes were very beautiful but above all excellent with careful flavor and balance. (Way above some of the stars in the area.) We will be back!

26/03/2024: During our stay in Lille for the half-marathon, we discovered by chance on a Saturday afternoon while chatting on the sidewalk after the service, the team of this bistro. We went there on Monday lunchtime and we were so impressed. well received,
the lunch with northern specialties was excellent, and therefore we highly recommend this bistro,

30/03/2024: A delight ! Very warm welcome in an estaminet setting. Divine Flemish stew and equally excellent American fillet. Served generously and quickly. Room a bit small and noisy when there are people, but it's difficult to push the walls :-) We've been here several times already and it's our favorite restaurant. You can go there with your eyes closed. Remember to book!
22/03/2024: La Vieille Assiette is exactly everything an estaminet should be. The dishes are really excellent (we tasted the welsh, the chti burger, the carbonnade, the Marengo veal, the pork cheek) and were unanimously appreciated by the table. The welcome and service are friendly and pleasant, and the decor is typical without being "too much". We feel really good: at home if we come from the region, and welcomed if we discover it.
We leave in a good mood and with a full stomach.
Thank you, we will come back, for sure!
Edit: We've come back plenty of times and we'll come back again.

Gastronomic level for the cuisine and the setting, and I appreciated the simple, attentive service.

Want to discover Lebanese cuisine? Go there with your eyes closed!
The discovery plate is a delight, the boneless garlic and lemon chicken is killer!

Chicken livers are a must try.

The atmosphere inside is very cozy.
There is a small terrace.
Their coffee is specialty and of very good quality.
01/04/2024: Warm place and full of colors. The cakes and pastries are excellent and delicious. Perfect for a little sweet break with a coffee.
I will go back to try the brunch option.
