22/03/2026: I confess I'm struggling to understand this excellent rating... Have the customers never had brunch in their lives? I can't see any other possible explanation. The value for money is simply not there. €27 for a brunch that isn't all-you-can-eat. Okay, why not, if the quality is there... The dishes are good, but nothing special. It's home-style cooking, and that's where it ends. I've had much better all-you-can-eat brunches in Lyon, which is also a major city. One tiny jar of jam (1 teaspoon) for 3 people, and the same amount of butter. Really disappointed; I was expecting the best brunch in Lille.

01/04/2026: A truly wonderful place, this restaurant in Old Lille has a lot of charm. The dishes are beautiful and delicious, with smoked specialties that add a unique character to the food. The staff is very welcoming, friendly, and efficient.

11/03/2026: Disappointing experience. A well-known pastry shop and tea room, but clearly overconfident. Impersonal service, mediocre quality, and no consideration for the customer. When you get the impression that "everything runs itself," all sense of business disappears, no attention is paid to customers, and a sense of customer service is completely forgotten. I do not recommend it.

15/02/2026: This unassuming little bistro is a real gem in this central neighborhood. The welcome is very friendly, almost familial. The food is excellent, with generous portions for a reasonable price. They also have a good selection of beers. It's a popular spot with regulars, so reservations are recommended.

02/03/2026: A slightly belated review, as we came for Valentine's Day. We wanted something other than a restaurant, and we chose this wine bar, which had always caught our eye whenever we passed through the Passage des Arts. And we have no regrets! We may not have wanted a restaurant, but I thoroughly enjoyed myself. I highly recommend the mixed platter; the products are delicious and high-quality. I was still thinking about it a few days later. Excellent value for money. I can't wait to try their other offerings. No complaints about the wine. It was perfect. We received wonderful advice from the owners, who know and love each of their wines. Which brings me to my last point: the owners. They are lovely, warm, knowledgeable, and funny. You feel so comfortable in this bar. Thank you to them. A real gem. I won't wait for next Valentine's Day to come back, that's for sure.

17/02/2026: We were left wanting more, both literally and figuratively, after our four-course lunch at Bloempot. Knowing Chef Ladeyn's reputation, we came with high expectations, but unfortunately, disappointment prevailed. The portions are truly tiny, even for a fine-dining restaurant. Perhaps we were simply unlucky with this month's menu. The first starter was interesting, as was the second. However, the main course was a letdown: a very small piece of pork loin, with more fat than meat, and a very limited portion of red cabbage (two leaves at most). The dessert didn't particularly impress us either. The service was friendly, but lacked professionalism considering the prices. We regret that, in some new-generation French restaurants, service sometimes seems to be undervalued in favor of a "rustic" or "casual" style. For example, there weren't enough plates to properly enjoy the first starter. At this price point, we expected a more attentive service, including in the presentation and attire of the staff.

16/02/2026: A superb experience. The place is cozy, charming, and ideal for a romantic dinner. The service is impeccable, and the dishes and drinks are beautifully presented by the staff, who clearly know their dishes and flavor pairings. The entire menu is harmonious, generous, and above all, absolutely delicious. I can't wait to go back and try another menu!

30/03/2026: A must-visit spot in Lille that you'll never tire of! I enjoy eating there as much as having a drink by the fireplace in winter or on the terrace in summer. Whether it's to meet up with friends, family, or colleagues, or to relax on your own, there are only good reasons to go back ;) The place has a special atmosphere where you feel right at home! We've never been disappointed by our meals (burgers, veggie burgers, smoked fish & chips, salads, etc.) or snacks (sharing platters). We especially love their fries, which are absolutely delicious!!!

24/03/2026: Opens early, of all the Irish pubs we visited, this was the only one to sell an Irish beer that wasn't Guinness. Good service and atmosphere, enjoyed the music.

13/11/2025: A true neighborhood gem, the kind you rarely see. Gabbro, on Rue Saint-André, immediately exudes warmth: the communal tables make you feel like you're surrounded by friends or family. Simon welcomes everyone with genuine kindness and truly takes the time to share his passion. The wine selection is incredible, but above all, you feel right at home. A truly wonderful place.
