The cuisine is excellent.
The beers too.
If you want a great experience this restaurant is for you.
If you like standardization, move on!
And a big up to the boss who deserves it!
29/11/2024: Nico knows how to quickly put you at ease with his frank speaking! The atmosphere is very relaxed but above all the dishes are delicious!!! Bravo to Marie in the kitchen!

16/09/2024: Thanks to Tim and his entire team! Reserved for 20 people the day before the clearance sale, super entertaining, great for children too, great menu adapted for the clearance sale, in short we were all THRILLED. It was super good, nice atmosphere, in short thank you!

The prices are very high for very average quality and a ridiculous quantity.

21/07/2024: Excellent restaurant gastronomique, très bon et sympathique accueil, belle décoration avec vue sur le parc, service en salle stylé et attentif avec des explications détaillées pour chaque plat.
Le principe du menu découverte en 5 plats du chef est magique et nous a offert de belles surprises. L'accompagnement proposé avec le verre de vin adapté au plat fut l'occasion de découvrir d'autres vignobles de France.
11/07/2024: Super restaurant, nous avons passé un excellent moment avec mon conjoint. Tout était parfait en passant du service à la cuisine. Nous reviendrons avec plaisir !

Finally, an estaminet which comes off the traditional rue de Gand and where there are inevitably fewer people.
And less difficulty parking...
The welcome is impeccable, the decoration just perfect and the cuisine simply delicious and generous.
The service is done with heart and I very warmly recommend this estaminet.

17/09/2024: We went there during the Lille clearance sale, of course we ate mussels and fries, the mussels were very large and excellent as were the fries, the waiters were very pleasant and efficient.

02/10/2024: A very cozy restaurant with very cool service and not only a special atmosphere but also particularly good Soeisen. Starter, main course, dessert and wine were excellent and served with a huge heart and charming smile. We discovered the restaurant by chance and absolutely loved it.
26/09/2024: Very very nice restaurant, with excellent dishes for all tastes, all with very pleasant service and excellent wines. I obviously recommend L’Orange bleue.

23/11/2024: I came yesterday with my wife because we had already been here and we really liked the warm atmosphere, however yesterday we were able to find COCKROACHES, one of which came wandering around on the cutlery and the table when our guests arrived. dishes, extremely expensive prices for a pop canteen where the Welsh just arrives with a salad of little variety (€3.80) for a light porterhouse of pomegranate apples which were still hard inside (poorly thawed?)

17/09/2024: When we started to order we were told our choices were unavailable (though we had already ordered wine to suit our meals). Then it turned out that more than half the menu, including everything we wanted, was unavailable. We settled for a cheese tart and frikadeller, neither of which was very enjoyable, served with floppy chips and lettuce. A severe disappointment.
16/09/2024: Dimanche de braderie, cet établissement nous accepte (contrairement à d'autres qui se disent full, ce que je peux comprendre).
On nous met en terrasse intérieure, ce qui ne déplaît pas, bien au contraire.
Les commandes sont passées rapidement, les plats arrivent vite. Pris un potjeveelsch avec frites/salade, c'était bon mais pas extraordinaire non plus. Le dessert "tarte à la bière" est une expérience puisque j'ai souvent voulu tester. Résultat : très bon.
Personnel accueillant, établissement propre et décoration propre à un estaminet. Une belle expérience.
Je recommande. 4/5

29/07/2024: I had a wonderful evening as usual at M.Jacques’s. Arthur our favorite bartender server was superb as usual. We will come back with pleasure!
13/07/2024: Monsieur Jacques is a real Lille institution. The service is great and the wines are good. I removed one star because we ordered a mixed board (price: 21 euros) which, in fact, arrived on a normal plate and not very well stocked with cheese and cold meats. There was a lot of salad in the middle. In short, I found it a bit outrageous to see such a small plate for 21 euros. This is for me a point to improve.
