07/07/2026: The food was very good, but I was disappointed by the limited selection… we ordered at 1 p.m. and there were already no dishes left on the menu. As I don't eat starchy foods for medical reasons, I only asked for salad (the only vegetable available) and I only received three leaves to accompany my meat for €22. This is the first time this has ever happened to me in Lille! I would still recommend it because the atmosphere and service were nice, but I won't be able to go back…

19/07/2026: Disappointing! Really expensive for the quality of the food. It's a shame because the place and the service are lovely. Given the number of positive reviews, perhaps we didn't order the right dishes from the menu, or there's been a recent drop in quality. Overall, we were disappointed with the meal: The starter: A small slice of Maroilles cheese tart. Not very flavorful, really just average. €9. The main course: A potato gratin, large chunks of potato thrown into a dish at the last minute with a little cream, bacon bits, and a piece of cheese on top. Not much preparation, not much flavor, not very satisfying. €17. My partner ordered a meat dish which had a bit more flavor. But nothing exceptional. However, the fries were excellent. €18. We decided to give the dessert a chance. We ordered two El Gato pastries: a waffle with feuillantine and ganache. The dessert was incredibly hard, tasteless, and not at all indulgent. €6 €32 for a starter, main course, and dessert. For dishes with little preparation and flavor, that's a bit much. We didn't enjoy our meal here. But we did like the setting.

21/04/2026: I recently discovered this traditional French restaurant and the experience was very pleasant overall. From the moment you enter, you are welcomed into a warm and authentic atmosphere, with decor reminiscent of old-fashioned bistros.

11/06/2026: Superb wine bar. A cozy and welcoming atmosphere. Jacques offers excellent advice on the wines he recommends. Ideal for a pleasant time with friends or a romantic dinner. As an added bonus, the charcuterie boards are very generous and feature high-quality ingredients.

06/06/2026: Dining at this restaurant provided us with a bizarre experience. The starters were tasty, but the mussels were very small and quite tasteless. We initially thought the owner was very attentive; he pulled up a small table so we could enjoy the view of the church together during our meal. He did keep pointing out the view to us several times afterwards, and at one point, uninvited, he came and sat at our table with us, even though there were no other guests left in the establishment. His attentiveness turned into intrusiveness. He kept coming to sit at our table. We had the strong impression that he had had too much to drink. Then he even started asking my wife impertinent questions. I then asked him to leave our table and give me the bill. He suddenly became very angry and ordered us to leave the premises. New guests had just arrived, and he was briefly focusing his attention on them. I walked to the bar and asked for the bill again. He suddenly approached me very threateningly and pushed me very hard towards the door. He even continued pushing me outside on the street and grabbed me in a chokehold right in the middle of the street; he is a big man, and I am over 70. My wife shouted very loudly to bystanders to call the police. Then he let go and went back inside his establishment. We were quite shaken, but decided to leave it at that. We didn't pay either, not because we didn't want to, but because he apparently didn't want to. I don't think everyone will receive such treatment, but I really cannot recommend this restaurant.

04/07/2026: We had a wonderful lunch during our visit to Lille. The smoked meat was delicious and everyone was very friendly. We'd definitely go back, no matter how busy we are.
