10/09/2026: Perfect! Marion is fantastic, friendly, and attentive. She manages the service perfectly and with a smile. As for the food, it's excellent, very good value for money. The menu changes weekly with fresh ingredients; it's superb.

02/09/2026: Best restaurant in the area...by far! The staff is incredibly welcoming. The food is always excellent, and what's more, the menu changes every week. I've been working right next door for a year now, and it's definitely become our go-to spot. I sincerely recommend it to everyone if you want to try it!

25/09/2026: Based on the great reviews on the website, we went for lunch. The cocktails were fantastic, and the welche and potjevleesch were excellent, all served by Tristan, a lovely, charming, and very helpful waiter! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ So we came back in the evening for drinks. We'd spotted some amazing cocktails that were absolutely incredible!!! And Tristan was as pleasant as ever. 👍

14/02/2026: Honestly, not great. The woman who served us was very friendly. But the food was really not very good, especially for the price... The tables weren't clean even though there were only a few people in the restaurant.

05/09/2026: Extremely disappointing service. We waited 25 minutes without anyone taking our order. During that time, the waitress walked past us five or six times without even glancing at us. When we finally managed to get her attention, she rudely told us they were no longer serving, even though the restaurant was still full. And yet, an hour and a half later, there were still customers there! Frankly incomprehensible and very disappointing. A truly poor way to treat customers.

11/06/2026: Superb wine bar. A cozy and welcoming atmosphere. Jacques offers excellent advice on the wines he recommends. Ideal for a pleasant time with friends or a romantic dinner. As an added bonus, the charcuterie boards are very generous and feature high-quality ingredients.

05/09/2026: Disgusting!! Management is taking us for fools!! False advertising! On the Friday before the Braderie, so fewer people around, we ordered 3 chickens with Maroilles cheese for €17.50 = cheap, battery-farmed chicken breast with absolutely no taste, cooked in water...😳 not even grilled and covered in a béchamel sauce with 1 gram of Maroilles cheese in it. So, not even Maroilles sauce for Lille! False advertising! They're taking the people of Lille and tourists for fools! Go somewhere else

15/09/2026: I love Maison Meert and recommend it to our foreign friends, but this is the second time we've been treated very unpleasantly at the tea room. The first time was because we arrived 20 minutes before closing time; we hadn't paid attention to the time. I don't dispute the fact that we were refused service, but I do dispute the very unpleasant way it was done. And this Monday, September 14th, we were treated badly again. At teatime, there were no tables available! At least 10 tables were empty, supposedly reserved. We had to either wait 20 minutes or come back, but it would be the same and we wouldn't get a table! We chose to come back, and there was space, but I won't be going back. I don't understand how, with the prestige of this establishment, the staff can be so unpleasant and unprofessional. They could take a page from the bookstore staff, who are very professional and pleasant.

13/09/2026: A wonderful discovery! I loved the atmosphere, both elegant and welcoming. The products offered are truly excellent, with a special mention for the tea, which I particularly enjoyed. The welcome was also excellent, as was the dessert. A delightful place with wonderful flavors. I highly recommend it! ✨

13/09/2026: We arrived just before the kitchen closed, but the welcome was friendly and professional. We were told we could only order one main course and one dessert, so there were no surprises. The meat was excellent, and the cooking time was perfect. The desserts were generous and of good quality. The dining room was rather quiet given the late hour of our visit, but it was steeped in history (we're not from the area). The service was pleasant and not rushed. The prices are reasonable for this type of establishment. Thank you for a lovely, relaxing dinner for two.

12/09/2026: Disappointed with our visit. We come several times a year, and although we've noticed the service isn't what it used to be lately, we came again this evening. The waiter was incredibly unpleasant. He put down our plates and then left immediately. Not a word, nothing. We even thought he was coming back with bread. Nope. Besides, we had to ask for the bread several times. It's no longer what the brasserie used to be. What a shame.

07/09/2026: A very good restaurant with a dynamic and friendly team, despite the busy atmosphere of the street fair. A great place to discover delicious northern French cuisine. We had the chicken fillet with Maroilles cheese and fries, and the fricadelles with fries.

30/08/2026: We arrived a little late on Sunday evening but received a very warm welcome. The waiter was friendly, attentive, and accommodating (we had ordered mussels for our daughter). The food was impeccable and plentiful. We highly recommend it! A great place to eat during our stay in Lille.
