19/07/2026: A historic brasserie in Old Lille—they even sell a book commemorating its 100th anniversary at the entrance. The pros and cons of this kind of place. Superb decor. Waiters who perform with a smile. The food is a bit pricey, especially the wines, but it's good, featuring classic northern dishes: shrimp croquettes, Welsh rarebit with fries, and crêpes flambéed with Grand Marnier tableside. Touristy but good. That's what you come for.

23/05/2026: I went there twice. For tobacco, "Hey Biloute" lighters 🤣, and I took the opportunity to enjoy a beer on the terrace. I received a wonderful welcome from the owner. He was the only person I spoke to. This gentleman is exceptionally kind, always smiling, and extremely polite. The establishment is clean, including the restrooms. The terrace is covered and very pleasant. Surprisingly, although the establishment is located at the roundabout on Place Jeanne d'Arc, you aren't bothered by the traffic, which is quite reasonable. I will definitely go back. I sincerely thank this gentleman, who has a true sense of business and the utmost respect for his customers. Don't hesitate to go there; you will be truly satisfied. 28/09/2025: We started with Tataki de Thon. Tasted very good. Then Supreme de Volaille which was also perfect. We finished with Assiette de Fromages and Millefeuille aux Fraises. Really nice too. Everything was perfect. We´ll be back.

19/07/2026: "Shrinkflation" is affecting this beautiful, historic establishment. 💔💔 I've always had an exceptional love for this lovely Lille-based company, so recently, I bought a pack of vanilla waffles (the classic ones) at Le Bon Marché in Paris, and to my great disappointment, I discovered that the amount of vanilla cream had been halved. How sad in this world where values ​​seem to have disappeared, and for a split second, I believed that such prestigious establishments as Meert wouldn't change. Ultimately, there are no longer any standards, and from now on, I'd be better off being satisfied with any ordinary brand rather than clinging to a myth. 💔💔

15/07/2026: Passing through from Lens, I had a wonderful time at your restaurant. The food was delicious, but I especially want to thank the Black waiter who took care of us. Despite the busy schedule, he remained smiling and professional from beginning to end. My only slight regret is that the World Cup matches weren't shown. Otherwise, it was perfect.
