13/07/2026: It's not that far from Brussels. With La Condition Publique nearby, Roubaix is ​​fantastic, especially for eating at this place that makes the best Welsh rarebit on earth. The owner, who is also an artist and photographer, provides creative and cheerful service. I'll definitely be going back soon and inviting some friends.

02/07/2026: We went for lunch on Saturday, June 27th at Café Jean. Excellent brasserie! Delicious and flavorful dishes! The tarte tatin was amazing with a scoop of mango ice cream 😉 The owner was really friendly. A lovely experience after shopping at Mac Arthur Glen. We'll definitely be back!

05/09/2026: We often go there for lunch or dinner, but this time we were very disappointed. The waiter's attitude and the quality of some dishes were not up to par. Very disappointed!

04/09/2026: Having come to dinner alone, I felt a bit forgotten. Served after everyone else, I waited over half an hour for a simple steak tartare… Since we paid with the code on the table, there was no interaction…

08/09/2026: ★★★★★ A wonderful discovery! We stumbled upon Le Rivoli quite by chance, and what a delightful surprise! This is a place that truly deserves to be known. We were charmed by everything: the welcome, the atmosphere, the service, the quality of the ingredients, and above all, the genuinely homemade cuisine made with fresh produce. The owner speaks about it with passion, and this is fully reflected in the food. I chose the kidneys with mustard and tarragon, served with a cream and oyster mushroom sauce: perfectly cooked, a flavorful and generous sauce, and an absolutely delicious dish. All accompanied by remarkable fries, crispy yet meltingly tender. Finally, real Northern fries! In fact, it's the first time since we arrived in the region that we've had such good ones. My friend chose the fish and chips, which was equally exceptional: a truly fresh fish fillet, incomparably white and delicate, apparently line-caught, perfectly cooked, and incredibly tender. Again, it was served with those excellent fries. We also saw the bouchot mussels from Mont-Saint-Michel go by, which looked magnificent. We didn't try them this time, but they too attested to the care taken in selecting the ingredients. Generous, precise, and sincere cuisine that truly makes a difference. In the center of Roubaix, where we struggled to find a restaurant of this caliber, Le Rivoli is a real exception. A wonderful discovery and, in our opinion, an establishment that simply has no competition in the area. We will return with great pleasure. An address we wholeheartedly recommend without reservation!

21/07/2026: It's a real shame and unfair to pay as much for the vegetarian dish as for the meat dish. It doesn't make sense. The portions are small. The food is average. The dessert is uninteresting. I was still very hungry when I left. Otherwise, the place is original, especially the convivial "terrace." I didn't see any cooperative aspect to the place, just the trendy, hipster vibe. This will be my one and only time.

16/07/2026: Baraka at lunchtime is always a good idea :-) And don't forget that you can use their services and take advantage of the venue for special occasions :-) Fresh cuisine and a menu that changes every day.

23/07/2026: A warm and inviting atmosphere, typical of a true brasserie, makes you feel right at home as soon as you walk in. The decor has character, the ambiance is convivial, perfect for lunch with friends or family. The service is truly top-notch: a smiling, attentive team that takes the time despite the busy pace of the service. You can tell that the customer is well taken care of, without any fuss but with genuine kindness. A place to remember in Roubaix, I highly recommend it!

25/08/2026: I don't believe for a second that these reviews are genuine. Yes, the place is beautiful, but the quality and service are appalling. The cutlery was just dumped on the table; the waitress held it by the prongs. I had to ask for a glass. It was a mustard glass, actually. My chicken and fries were terrible: dry, tasteless frozen fries with chicken that was also dry and tasteless. And the presentation was incredibly sad. No garnish, no sauce... So I asked for a sauce, and without being asked which one I wanted, they brought me a jar of sauce packets from some cafeteria or other, years past their expiration date. The price is far from justified.

18/07/2026: Honestly, everything was good. Including the recommended bone marrow. Since I'm used to tiny portions of fries, there was no need to ask for them with every dish, because we're in the north, and they're not stingy with fries at all. We arrived quite early, so we were served rather quickly. This gave us enough time to do some shopping at the outlet across the street.

27/08/2026: We were very disappointed with our service today. We arrived around 2 pm simply for a drink. Upon arrival, we were barely acknowledged and had to approach the staff ourselves to ask if we could be seated somewhere. The response, given in a particularly curt tone, was to direct us to a table where "there was nothing" since we only wanted a drink. After waiting about ten minutes, the person walked past us, threw the menu on the table without a word or even a glance, and then went back to attend to another table. We found this attitude particularly cold and disrespectful. We ultimately decided to leave without ordering anything. We fully understand that a restaurant may have its priorities and service constraints, but a minimum of hospitality, politeness, and consideration for customers seems to be the very least one could expect. It's a shame, because we simply wanted to have a pleasant experience.
