30/08/2024: Well received but don't seem to know their product I wanted a rechargeable electronic cigarette I was sold one showing me the refills that came with it and when I got home and opened it it was a disposable cigarette it doesn't charge at all... Disappointed…

01/09/2024: This cafe is in a beautiful location, a well-known place to come for walks and admire the amazing views. However, the cafe was disappointing although in great surroundings. The service was chaotic, disorganised and the menu limited. First, you have to queue up at the counter inside to make your order, (where no-one seems to know who's doing what behind the counter), then go outside and wait until your bleeper goes off to collect from another counter, and then return your plates afterwards. OK, that's the deal - it's a self-service (apart from inside which is quite small) cafe with lots of outside space, but the high prices didn't reflect this, nor did the quality of the food and the small servings given. Also the 'chips' were soggy and greasy, and who knows what was used to cook them in! The 'alcoholic' drinks were over-priced (I can't comment on the non-alcoholic drinks) - the wine may be organic, but one glass of wine (with a measly amount of wine in the glass) for nearly 5 euros is pushing it, as is a bottle at 27/29 euros, and no pichets of wine as an alternative? We will certainly return to La Roche D'oetre to enjoy the beauty of this location, but will take a picnic with us next time.

27/08/2024: Café/resto super agréable sur un site magnifique, vous avez l embarras pour vous installez sur l immense terrasse ( petit salon, tables, sur la pelouse..), afin de déguster une pizza ou un burger de dingue a l effiloché de porc confit ( le tulum, une tuerie !), ou une glace italienne maison à la vanille 🤤. Jolie carte de vin Bio et les bières... super accueil, les patrons et le personnel sont géniaux, bref on reviendra ! Merci

31/05/2024: Stayed here for three nights to break up a journey to Dordogne and explore Normandie. The hosts and staff are very friendly and welcoming as well as very patient and helpful with my attempts to speak French! The room was comfortable and quiet. We had breakfast and evening meals during the stay and enjoyed the food.

09/03/2026: Every time I travel to the provinces, I stop by this butcher shop to bring back meat to Paris, and of course, the best tripe. Often award-winning, it's excellent and you won't find it anywhere else.

04/11/2025: Top-notch staff, quality meat, they listen to advice, never disappointed by the quality of the meat, the tripe, their sausages which are flavorful and not too fatty, and their tripe—sure, you pay the price, but you know what you're eating. I highly recommend it, and especially their calf's liver—it's amazing!

14/09/2024: The essential bakery in Alencon and its surroundings!!! The welcome is royal, we want to buy everything and the worst is that everything is good!!! The Parisian flan, the raspberry shortbread tart and the Christmas cake, the bread, in short we can go there with our eyes closed!!!

26/08/2024: Fast service only positive point, customers scare the drunks rocking on their chairs at the counter but we continue to serve with privileged people who we easily notice, there is all the gossip that is said, during the day the vnb is better and at night the Bentley. Everyone has their own opinion but I have often heard the same thing around me for several months.

05/12/2024: Excellent repas,service pro et très aimable,l’accueil est chaleureux,le décor est joliment rénové.La cuisine est raffinée,conforme à la tradition bien qu’au goût du jour,la carte est courte et les produits de grande qualité,tout est fait pour passer un bon moment entre amis.Je recommande.

25/04/2024: Très sympa petit resto ouvriers, très bon menu "entrée, plat, fromage, dessert, café accompagné d'un pichet de cidre tout ça à un très bon prix. Nous nous sommes arrêtés au hasard et nous avons apprécié cet endroit très sympathique.
