Special mention goes to the head waitress, who was particularly friendly and attentive throughout our meal. The service is quick without ever being rushed, and the attention paid to customers is truly appreciated, making us want to return. The dishes are delicious, generous, and served with care. The menu is varied, ensuring there's something for everyone. The atmosphere is calm and welcoming, with charming decor. A truly wonderful place that I highly recommend if you're ever in Alençon!

I've eaten many times at Bouillon République in Paris; it's cramped, noisy, and full of complaints about the food. Here, the cuisine is refined and excellent; everything is perfectly balanced. I hope that word of mouth brings you many more happy customers.

17/04/2026: What a wonderful discovery this restaurant was! Everything is done for the customer's comfort. They accommodated my wife's intolerances (gluten and lactose) without any problem or hesitation. The service was excellent and the cuisine refined.

04/07/2026: As for the restaurant, the value for money isn't there. The dishes are attractive and tasty, but the portions are insufficient for a €41 menu. The setting is very pretty both inside and out, but it's not particularly comfortable outside (the ground is sloping and the chairs are basic). The service is a bit pushy about extras (glass/bottle of wine, cheese plate, digestif, coffee), which detracts from the experience in our opinion. In short, a good but unremarkable culinary experience.

17/05/2026: We shared lunch on a Saturday, market day. We hadn't booked but were quickly seated on the terrace. It was busy, so the service was a little slow. The menu was classic and included some typical dishes like black pudding with cider sauce, which was very good.

27/06/2026: We received a wonderful welcome from a charming lady at this inn. We arrived as a group of nine with a reservation made just two days prior. We were on a very tight schedule, and it was perfectly respected. The chef prepared a unique menu for us, a main course and dessert, which was a delightful surprise. We started with a small amuse-bouche, followed by beautifully presented and refined dishes: a fresh vegetable salad, salmon, and a nougat glacé. Pure bliss! The chef came to greet us as we were leaving, which made us laugh. 😂 Congratulations and best of luck!

23/06/2026: We discovered this inn on my journey between Verneuil d’Avre et d’Iton and L’Aigle, and it was a truly delightful find. The welcome was exceptional, a lovely dining room, and the food divine! So much so that we wanted to lick the plates clean. The lamb was a delight, the starter was superb and refreshing, the fish a real treat, and the desserts were simply irresistible. We returned the very next day upon our return, and the experience was repeated: pure bliss! Bravo! Don't change a thing, except perhaps consider investing in air conditioning in the future, as we were lucky enough to have superb but very, very hot weather, and despite the inn's historic character, we were a little too warm. The prices are very reasonable, and the ingredients are fresh and of high quality. Thank you for this wonderful discovery; we will be back!

The Camembert crêpe we had last night was excellent, and the Camembert actually had flavor! 😜 (Just a little wink to a comment saying the opposite...)
