13/07/2026: Beautiful decor. The value for money isn't there. They no longer have the set menu for workers like before... After renovations, the new owners brought back the old formula, adding a more expensive option. Now they've opted for a more upscale menu... €25 for a starter and a main course (average price) with a carafe of water: That's a lot. The waitress is friendly, but we miss the two sisters.

11/07/2026: We had a delicious meal! We had the pork cheek, perfectly prepared and flavorful. Reasonable prices. Cozy terrace with a view of the beautiful church (definitely worth a visit).

04/07/2026: As for the restaurant, the value for money isn't there. The dishes are attractive and tasty, but the portions are insufficient for a €41 menu. The setting is very pretty both inside and out, but it's not particularly comfortable outside (the ground is sloping and the chairs are basic). The service is a bit pushy about extras (glass/bottle of wine, cheese plate, digestif, coffee), which detracts from the experience in our opinion. In short, a good but unremarkable culinary experience.

09/07/2026: Wonderful restaurant for South Asian food. The service is attentive and kind. You can ask to amend the level of spiciness but generally it is well suited to the French palate. I’m Pakistani and they were kind enough to cut up some green chilies for me to add to the dish. I will be back every time I am in Bagnoles!

25/07/2026: We recently dined again at L'Ecuyer Normand, a restaurant we greatly appreciate. The dishes are always of high quality, and we discover new flavors each time, with a careful balance of sweet and savory and just the right seasoning. From the outside, the restaurant is discreet, perhaps too much so, as it's not prominent enough and is overshadowed by the pizzeria next door. But once you step inside, it's a warm and welcoming place with friendly owners who love their work, a rare thing these days. In short, if you're in Chandai, stop by; you won't regret it. Below, our first visit: Our first experience at this restaurant (but certainly not the last). Warm atmosphere, very pleasant service and welcome. From the €40 menu, I recommend the skate tataki as a starter—a real treat, although in fact, the entire dinner was excellent, and the seasonings were just perfect. There were four of us, and we all felt the same way when we left. A big thank you to the chef and the young waiter.

27/06/2026: We received a wonderful welcome from a charming lady at this inn. We arrived as a group of nine with a reservation made just two days prior. We were on a very tight schedule, and it was perfectly respected. The chef prepared a unique menu for us, a main course and dessert, which was a delightful surprise. We started with a small amuse-bouche, followed by beautifully presented and refined dishes: a fresh vegetable salad, salmon, and a nougat glacé. Pure bliss! The chef came to greet us as we were leaving, which made us laugh. 😂 Congratulations and best of luck!
