01/11/2025: We stayed one night at this hotel, and Karmele was wonderful. The room was very comfortable and well-equipped. We slept wonderfully, enjoying the peace and quiet. In the morning, we were treated to a delicious and varied breakfast before our excursion to the Rhune train, which is just a 10-minute drive away.

The owner's welcome was wonderful 😊
The room was spotlessly clean
Generous breakfast (cold cuts, cheese, omelet, cereal, fruit, yogurt, pastries, bread, butter, jam, Basque cake), coffee, tea, hot chocolate...
A little country corner with a mountain view 🗻..
We stayed for a whole weekend with my family 😊..
It was truly great 👍..

Warm welcome, top-notch cuisine
After taking the Rhune train we arrived at 1:40 p.m. and we were served.

23/09/2024: A service that was much too fast with what was intended to be simplicity, whereas a little more careful service wouldn't do any harm.
We came a few years ago with very good memories of the cuisine, here we realized that it was no longer what it used to be and we therefore left quite disappointed overall.
The sweetbreads are not well cooked, the risotto has too much sauce…
Small positive point for the beef fillet which was very tasty and successfully cooked.
20/09/2024: Top notch hospitality, cuisine and service. The prices are in line with the quality offered. A wider choice of wines by the glass would be welcome.

You should know that the menu available on the internet is no longer up to date... today it is offered a single dish (rib of beef) in two different menus to choose from (with different starters and desserts), and unlimited cider for 35€, or 39€ depending on the formula chosen
But we really enjoyed it, it was excellent from start to finish, and very generous in portions!
And helping yourself to the barrels of different ciders adds a fun side and the waiter who advises us is very nice, thank you we had a good time!
26/09/2024: What a great discovery! Frankly the best (and biggest) rib of beef and Basque ciders that we have had the chance to discover and all that at a very fair price. A big thank you to Joël our server who accompanied us very well during our meal.

10/01/2025: Went in and out as quickly, rigid waiter who for his organization does not want us to sit at 1 table ready! 4 seats in the maxi room on this January midday, he continues making us wait to take the order while he does nothing at the counter, we leave!
03/12/2024: We ate at your place this evening.
My husband had the €30 menu. And me a rhune salad.
Everything was perfect.
The wine by the glass, the bottle was presented to us which is rare enough to be specified.
Very professional and friendly waiters.
I recommend it 200%

Hearty breakfast at a fair price

08/09/2024: Arrived by chance in front of this nice restaurant which caught our attention by the people filling it. Full restaurant!...but at our request the boss agreed to place us outside under the awning despite the closed terrace. A simple menu and quality cuisine at a very reasonable price. Plus fast and friendly service. We recommend and we will come back!!!
07/09/2024: Comme c'était super avant hier soir , on y retourne aujourd'hui 😁 j'ai dégusté un excellent axoa, un gâteau basque à la cerise (rhooo...👍) et une petite sangria qui se boit sans soif 😊
