25/09/2026: This address was recommended to us by an acquaintance, and we certainly weren't disappointed. The owner, Bastien, gives you a warm welcome and is a truly charming character (we had a great chat about rugby and the Southern Alps). The service was provided by Pholien, who seems more Liège-born than Belgian 👍👍, but is nonetheless a true professional who clearly loves his job. The dishes are 100% homemade, and we thoroughly enjoyed them!! A must-try establishment that we recommend without hesitation!!

02/09/2026: Fantastic authentic Basque restaurant in the heart of Saint Jean. Food is epic thanks to the owner-operator chef, team is enthusiast and fun, probably one of best braised cooked fish you can order in the region. Get a table now, this could easily be a Michelin-starred restaurant.

29/08/2026: Charming restaurant, we had a wonderful meal. The turbot cooked over charcoal and the vegetables were excellent, and the smoked sardines and fried anchovies served as starters were very well prepared. Attentive but unpretentious service.

13/09/2026: A restaurant that truly deserves its star What a magnificent discovery the Arraditz restaurant in Lescar was! We had a remarkable dinner, from the moment we arrived until the very last moment. The service was impeccable, attentive without ever being intrusive, and the setting is superb: a beautiful old building completely redesigned in a contemporary, elegant, and refined style. We immediately felt at ease. But of course, it's on the plate that the experience truly comes into its own. Refined, precise cuisine, generous in flavor, and, in my opinion, truly worthy of a Michelin star. The foie gras with its smoked sangria jelly is simply divine. An original combination, perfectly executed and bursting with flavor. The redfish, served with its bisque and rouille, also particularly impressed me: powerful yet perfectly balanced flavors, impeccable cooking, and a beautifully delicate presentation. And what can I say about the duck! Excellent, accompanied by this small cereal with its sun-kissed notes, then complemented by a duck leg cromesquis with its mousseline… Once again, a tremendous amount of work, technique, and above all, exquisite flavor. The pineapple-based pre-dessert then provided a lovely freshness before the meal concluded. We also had the pleasure of exchanging a few words with Chef Olivier Nicolau at the end of dinner. A very approachable, friendly, and passionate chef. He is regularly recognized in pâté en croûte competitions, and unfortunately, I wasn't able to taste his this time as it was no longer in season. An excellent reason to return as soon as it's back on the menu! I had already lamented the lack of a Michelin-starred restaurant in Pau and its immediate surroundings. After this dinner, I'll say it again: Arraditz truly deserves that star. And I'm not just saying that to hand out stars to everyone! But when you find the same quality of ingredients, precise cooking, refined presentation, creativity, service, and consistency throughout the meal, you realize that the award is truly well-deserved. A truly wonderful restaurant, an excellent dinner, and a place we will gladly return to. And next time, I certainly hope to try their famous pâté en croûte!

Made with love and full of flavor. A superb, unpretentious welcome; it's a wonderful place for delicious food.

The pairing with three glasses of wine is a bonus and allows you to appreciate this delightful experience even more. The welcome is friendly and the service is quick. Simple and efficient!! The location couldn't be more idyllic, with its terrace overlooking the surrounding mountains. As for the large dining room, it can accommodate many guests. The only downside is the acoustics, which create a bit of a buzz that might be bothersome for those wishing to enjoy a quiet moment. We were delighted and will gladly return 🤩

30/08/2026: Don't miss this iconic and welcoming restaurant if you're in Ciboure! The traditional cuisine is delicious, and the atmosphere is warm and friendly. The staff is very attentive and kind. They've been preparing their traditional specialty, "Ttorro" (similar to a fish and seafood stew), for over five decades. It was absolutely delicious, as was everything else I tried (including the desserts, of course). I discovered this place thanks to the program about the French Basque Country, "Viajeros Cuatro," which aired in July of this year on the Spanish television channel Cuatro (attention, Ms. Celine!!). I can assure you it lives up to its reputation. Reservations are highly recommended.

17/09/2026: Outstanding meal and service - could not and would not have changed a thing. Reasonably priced for a phenomenal meal. The wine recommendation was spot on as well as a thoughtful explanation of the menu. Love love love this bistro. Highly recommend and would revisit in a heartbeat. Being dog lovers also loved that it was a dog friendly establishment and the resident pupper is so sweet and lovely.
