02/09/2026: Fantastic authentic Basque restaurant in the heart of Saint Jean. Food is epic thanks to the owner-operator chef, team is enthusiast and fun, probably one of best braised cooked fish you can order in the region. Get a table now, this could easily be a Michelin-starred restaurant.

29/08/2026: Charming restaurant, we had a wonderful meal. The turbot cooked over charcoal and the vegetables were excellent, and the smoked sardines and fried anchovies served as starters were very well prepared. Attentive but unpretentious service.

Made with love and full of flavor. A superb, unpretentious welcome; it's a wonderful place for delicious food.

21/08/2026: A chance discovery... often the best! Far from the crowds of Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port, nestled on a hillside, a feast for the eyes and the taste buds! Add to that the endless smiles of the lovely and highly professional waitresses. We felt quite privileged in this place! A wonderful farewell to this inland Basque country, which has nothing to envy in the coast. We hope to return one day...

30/08/2026: Don't miss this iconic and welcoming restaurant if you're in Ciboure! The traditional cuisine is delicious, and the atmosphere is warm and friendly. The staff is very attentive and kind. They've been preparing their traditional specialty, "Ttorro" (similar to a fish and seafood stew), for over five decades. It was absolutely delicious, as was everything else I tried (including the desserts, of course). I discovered this place thanks to the program about the French Basque Country, "Viajeros Cuatro," which aired in July of this year on the Spanish television channel Cuatro (attention, Ms. Celine!!). I can assure you it lives up to its reputation. Reservations are highly recommended.

06/09/2026: Lunch was excellent - perfectly cooked and beautifully presented. Our server was terrific. She spoke English and was patient with our efforts at French. :) She also recommended an excellent bottle of wine to accompany our meal. Overall, a fantastic experience!

Then comes the friendliness of the staff… and finally, the menu… A feast for the eyes, the taste buds, and the wallet 🙂 A wonderful experience. 25/08/2026: One of our favorite restaurants! Everything is excellent; you can really tell it's all homemade with quality ingredients. The dishes are full of flavor and always perfectly prepared. And on top of that, the service is fantastic: the couple who run the restaurant are lovely, super friendly, and welcoming. A truly wonderful place!
