08/07/2026: Excellent! The welcome, the atmosphere, the simple cuisine—it's all perfect. The service is pleasant with a touch of humor, which is a nice touch. Very good value for money. I recommend it.
04/07/2026: The staff is fantastic, incredibly welcoming and attentive. The food is excellent, the setting is very pleasant, and even outside, smoking is prohibited, which is a nice bonus.

02/07/2026: Please note: the restaurant closes at 2 PM. We arrived at 1:50 PM, and they were incredibly friendly in welcoming us despite our late arrival! We ordered a vegetarian burger, which was simple yet original and, above all, delicious!
The interior and restroom decor is also great, and the service was excellent. I highly recommend it if you're ever in Askain!

27/06/2026: We chose this hotel because it's pet-friendly. We had our cat and dog with us and everything went smoothly. There's a green space for dogs to run around in. Breakfast is decent and the staff are very friendly. The rooms are a bit dated (the bathroom door doesn't close properly, the finish isn't great, and we could hear other guests a little). But honestly, it's good value for money. We were very happy for ourselves and our pets.
23/06/2026: Good price, 60 euros. Not far from Handaye beaches. Comfortable hotel, air-conditioned, and with free private parking. Good buffet breakfast but a bit pricey at 12 euros, especially if you have a light lunch...

23/09/2024: A service that was much too fast with what was intended to be simplicity, whereas a little more careful service wouldn't do any harm.
We came a few years ago with very good memories of the cuisine, here we realized that it was no longer what it used to be and we therefore left quite disappointed overall.
The sweetbreads are not well cooked, the risotto has too much sauce…
Small positive point for the beef fillet which was very tasty and successfully cooked.
20/09/2024: Top notch hospitality, cuisine and service. The prices are in line with the quality offered. A wider choice of wines by the glass would be welcome.

01/11/2025: We stayed one night at this hotel, and Karmele was wonderful. The room was very comfortable and well-equipped. We slept wonderfully, enjoying the peace and quiet. In the morning, we were treated to a delicious and varied breakfast before our excursion to the Rhune train, which is just a 10-minute drive away.

Generous breakfast (cold cuts, cheese, omelet, cereal, fruit, yogurt, pastries, bread, butter, jam, Basque cake), coffee, tea, hot chocolate...
A little country corner with a mountain view 🗻..
We stayed for a whole weekend with my family 😊..
It was truly great 👍..
