12/12/2025: What can I say… Refined cuisine with surprising flavors, impeccable service with attentive waiters, and a sense of humor that makes you want to come back without hesitation! The value for money on the lunch menu is perfect! It was our first time, but certainly not our last!

10/12/2025: Superb from start to finish. Excellent wine recommendations, generous portions and high-quality food, and fast, professional service. Relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

16/12/2025: Tasty and creative dishes, a wide selection of both the à la carte and daily menus; a good selection of wines. I particularly appreciated the care taken in preparing the vegan dish with grilled vegetables and bean puree.

16/11/2025: Avoid at all costs!!!! My dish was cold, and despite my requests no less than three times…nothing was resolved!!! I don't call that professionalism.

06/02/2026: We were looking for a place to enjoy a good wine and some appetizers before dinner. Nice selection of wines by the glass! We then had a mix of cheeses, delicious. The owner is kind and welcoming! I'm not sure I'd go there again, but if you happen to be passing through, it's the perfect place!

15/01/2026: We went to BMD – “Bois, Mange et Détends-toi” (Drink, Eat, and Relax) with a couple of friends during the Festival of Lights in Lyon ✨, and they're the ones who introduced us to this real gem 💎. The atmosphere is incredibly friendly and welcoming 🪵🍷, with some fantastic wine discoveries to enjoy without moderation (or almost 😉). The dishes are authentic, homemade, and absolutely delicious 😋. A true delight from start to finish. Whether it's the charcuterie 🧀🥩 or the main dishes, everything is excellent. A perfect place to spend a warm and cozy time with friends 👥❤️. 👉 I highly recommend this establishment and I'll definitely be back!

11/12/2025: A superb, unexpected, and intimate experience. The meal was very good (excellent value for money), we received a wonderful welcome, and the atmosphere was fantastic. We will definitely return if we are ever in the area again!

22/02/2026: A very good lunch experience. The value for money is excellent for lunch, allowing you to fully enjoy the view (you can request it when booking, subject to availability). We opted for the tasting menu. The dishes were well-prepared and the flavors were vibrant. A slight disappointment was the wine pairing, which included three glasses of wine for €50. We received a glass of cider (very good, by the way). I imagine it's considered an apple wine, but I wasn't expecting it. Depending on your needs, you may sometimes need to speak to the restaurant manager.

13/09/2025: The restaurant has fundamentally changed its concept. Not a disaster in itself, but the links/photos should be changed. Completely understaffed, one poor server overwhelmed for the entire dining room. The kitchen is taking it easy during this time. Way too hot inside. The food is okay, nothing special. We just wanted to leave...

13/09/2025: Unfortunately, Contre-Champ is not what it used to be. The chef has changed, and the experience is nothing like what you’ll see on Google or in older reviews. The food was disappointing, far below expectations, and the overall quality has dropped dramatically. To make matters worse, the poor waiter had to manage 11 tables completely on his own — service was understandably slow and chaotic, and it was painful to watch him struggle. What used to be a great place has become a real letdown. I would not recommend it to anyone looking for a good meal.

26/12/2025: Awesome place for a cosy beer or dinner. Staff was friendly and quick, the ambiance was one of my favourite with a blend of American and Lyon classics. We could bring our dog and had a few very tasty vegetarian options!

20/11/2025: When visiting friends used this bar a few times the welcome from staff and regulars was excellent and made me feel like a local there is nothing fancy about the place but looking at the food other people were having looked very delicious so if you are visiting near here it is a excellent place for a coffee or beer
