21/08/2026: We were looking for a restaurant for two in Aix-les-Bains and, after reading the many positive reviews for L’Évasion, we decided to make a reservation. And we were so glad we did! From the moment we arrived, we felt at ease. Seated on the terrace, we appreciated the calm and pleasant atmosphere, despite the nearby foot traffic. The service was very professional, attentive, and efficient. As for the food, it was excellent: refined, flavorful, and beautifully presented dishes. A wonderful discovery and a place we highly recommend. Definitely worth trying if you're ever in Aix-les-Bains.

14/08/2026: Always perfect. I come once a year and wish I could come more often. Four-star service; the owner is incredibly kind. The food is always a delight, something out of the ordinary. An exceptional experience that I highly recommend. And they also have a delicious white wine, Pakhus.

17/10/2026: While passing through Aix-les-Bains, we discovered this restaurant. A very warm welcome and excellent wine recommendations. We had a ribeye steak with chanterelles and a chuck roast with mashed potatoes. Wow, what food! The meat was tender and flavorful. The homemade fries and mashed potatoes were a real treat! What a pleasure to eat in a place where people are passionate about their work. I don't often leave reviews, but it's important to give a shout-out when something is good and delicious.

11/10/2026: A fantastic place! I popped in on a whim because the menu offered a great selection of crêpes and salads, with salads even available in two sizes. The owner, who also works as a chef in the open kitchen, was very welcoming and genuine. I asked him if it could be quick, which I felt a little awkward about, because if you want a good meal, you should allow yourself some time. Nevertheless, he reacted in a totally relaxed and friendly manner and actually brought me a super tasty salad in no time at all. I think it's not easy to make a really good salad, but this one was fresh, filling, well-balanced, with a delicious dressing – simply fantastic! I think the real specialty of this restaurant is the crêpes, which I unfortunately didn't get to try. They looked delicious at the next table, and above all, they smelled incredibly tempting. This wonderful place has once again confirmed for me that it's often the smaller restaurants on the side streets that shine with quality and dedication.

27/09/2026: The starter (perfect egg) and main course (sweetbreads) were delicious. However, I was disappointed by the profiteroles, despite the homemade choux pastry being really good. The whipped cream and vanilla ice cream were bland, not to mention the chocolate sauce, which should be avoided at all costs.

24/09/2026: Good food, but the starters are a bit pricey. It's best to book ahead as it's not very big. I recommend it.

24/09/2026: Passing through Aix, we were looking for a simple, unpretentious restaurant with appealing dishes... and we chose this restaurant without any regrets! A very pleasant terrace, parking, excellent service, perfect food, and friendly service... nothing to complain about!

10/10/2026: A fantastic discovery one morning while waiting for my train. Just 10 minutes from the station, a superb breakfast, friendly service, and beautifully presented dishes. The food itself is simple but very enjoyable, and the presentation elevates it. Highly recommended!

09/10/2026: This is an amazing restaurant. From the moment we entered the welcome and service were impeccable. The menu had plenty of choice and each dish was carefully explained to us in great detail. The staff and chef (who popped out to see us after we had eaten) ensured that we had a great evening. A great selection of wine and drinks too. Very reasonable price for the quality of food.

03/10/2026: A gourmet restaurant serving exquisite cuisine with impeccable presentation. We opted for the three-course "Exquisite" menu, and every course was delicious. The service was efficient, pleasant, and discreet. We truly had a wonderful experience.

26/08/2026: Just got two pizza’s here. I could not recommend it more. Great local place, very homey, the owners are excellent and the pizza is delicious! If you are traveling through Aix Les Bains, please stop here!

18/08/2026: Really great good.The fruit de mer is excellent. Friendly cook. Don't mint the outside of the restaurant .The food is really great and fresh made .

21/08/2026: The food was very tasty, the ingredients were fresh and high-quality, the portions were generous, and the service was friendly. The fries were excellent. We and our children really enjoyed it. There aren't many tables in the dining area, but we managed to find a seat. The main issue is probably the sheer number of options on the menu: there are so many choices and variations that it's quite difficult to navigate and decide what you want, but the owner was helpful. I do appreciate it when the chef chooses for me, suggesting the best combinations (though he still gives me a choice). Overall, it's an excellent establishment that I highly recommend. It's fast food, but upscale, far superior to chain restaurants, while remaining in roughly the same price range.

22/10/2026: We booked a meal for a pétanque tournament, saying we were in a bit of a hurry to eat. Arrived at 1 p.m., the atmosphere in the kitchen was tense and the welcome wasn't very warm. We were seated, but then no one came to check on us. The dining room was packed, with one server who was clearly overwhelmed. We asked for an aperitif, but still no menu was offered. We waited, the aperitif arrived, and finally asked for the menu. We waited again to be served. The meal was decent overall. And then, no one came to see us. We finally got up to pay (luckily, no one wanted dessert, so we had coffee elsewhere), and a very curt waiter handed us the bill. Not a word of apology for the wait, not even a question about whether everything was alright! I absolutely do not recommend this place.
