29/09/2024: We stopped at this creperie during our visit to Étretat, it was a delight! Copious and delicious dishes, welcoming staff, I recommend!
27/09/2024: Unmissable creperie in Etretat. Having already come last year, it was an obligatory visit. The pancakes are always excellent, of good quality and above all in quantity! (Bring a manitou on your way out. Thank you for the warm welcome and thank you for the bottle ;).

A very friendly and welcoming team, a warm place with its large fireplace in which the meats are grilled.
The dishes are plentiful and extremely good.
A perfectly balanced quality/price ratio.
It's been a long time since we discovered a restaurant of this quality.
We recommend without hesitation!

30/11/2024: I don't understand all the positive comments. Tourists passing your way. Cuisine without any interest, fish overcooked and full of bones, side dish probably defrosted... We were offered a fish ballotine with extra charge for 6€, in fact it was a terrine, and not great...
In short, not worth stopping there (especially for the price)

-Accueil sympathique
-Service rapide (avec en plus de l humour)
-Langoustines parfaitement cuites
-Fruits de mer excellents
-Cuisson du poisson top (cabillaud)
-Salade de homard très très bonne et très copieuse
-Vin au verre (chablis 1er cru) en accord parfait avec les fruits de mer
-Desserts simple (tiramisu caramel beurre salé) mais excellent avec une sélection de très bons café (carte des cafés et des thés vraiment originales)
En résumé, à refaire !
08/04/2024: Déçue de mon choix par rapport à la carte, le choix sans viande, des prix proposés, et la quantité. Prix le plus bas pour des pâtes bolognaise à 19e, les entrées et desserts à plus de 10e. J'ai prix un risotto de saint jacque, qui n'était pas mauvais, mais pas bien assaisonné et manquait de goût. Nous avons fini notre repas dans un autre resto. Mon choix s'est fait par rapport au classement sur TripAdvisor, je ferai plus attention à l'avenir.

15/09/2024: Meilleur restaurant rapport qualité/prix qu’on a pu faire. Les plats sont délicieux, avec une superbe présentation. Petit plus, avec la belle vue de notre belle côte normande. On recommande ce lieu à Etretat.

L'Huitrière in Etretat is truly a one-of-a-kind experience. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by a cold, distant stare from the staff that could rival a Siberian winter. The sheer lack of enthusiasm was impressive – it takes real talent to make customers feel unwelcome the second they walk through the door. A warm welcome? Not here. At L'Huitrière, indifference is served cold, right alongside your future meal.
Now, onto the main event – the menu. Curious about the fish of the day (since it was clearly written there), I made the mistake of asking our server. You would think I had inquired about quantum physics based on the utter confusion on their face. After a few awkward seconds of silence, it became clear they had no idea, nor did they have any intention of checking with the kitchen. Asking about your own restaurant’s menu? That’s for amateurs. Here, we play by different rules.
The amuse-bouche arrived with great fanfare: a small dish of olives that looked like they had survived a nuclear winter. No taste, no freshness – just sad, wrinkled relics of what might have been food a few days ago. If this was meant to "amuse" my palate, it failed spectacularly.
Next, the three-course menu. What an absolute journey! The oysters came first, already open – that’s nice, I thought. But upon further inspection, they weren’t even cut from the shell, forcing me to wrestle with them like a caveman at the table. As if that wasn’t enough, they had this off-putting milky residue. Yum. Really top-notch quality here.
But nothing could prepare me for the main dish. Where do I even start? The mashed potatoes were an incredible scientific achievement. Somehow, they managed to be both ice-cold in some parts and scorching hot in others, making me wonder if they had been reheated by someone angrily slamming a microwave door. The potatoes were so lumpy and tasteless that I briefly questioned whether they had forgotten to cook them altogether. And the vegetables? Well, they were either fermented or desperately pretending to be pickles. The fish – dry as sandpaper, completely devoid of flavor, and utterly overcooked. Not even a hint of herbs or seasoning. It was as if someone had actively tried to remove any trace of taste from the plate. A true masterpiece of blandness.
I have no words for the dessert.....
Now, you’d think for this level of culinary confusion, they’d at least get the basics right. But no, not at L'Huitrière. They conveniently forgot to bring us water, which added a nice touch of dehydration to our dining experience. And the wait time between courses? Let’s just say, it gave me plenty of time to admire the view. I mean, why serve food when you can leave your customers to contemplate the meaning of life between each course? At one point, I actually started to wonder if they were secretly trying to make us leave by dragging the whole ordeal out as long as possible.
The décor and the view – oh yes, it’s all very beautiful. But don't be fooled by appearances. This place is a well-oiled machine of disappointment, beautifully disguised by its charming surroundings. It lures you in with the promise of elegance and fine dining, only to deliver a dining experience so abysmal that it feels like a cruel joke. For the astronomical prices they charge, you’d think you were eating at a Michelin-starred restaurant. Well, Michelin, if you’re reading this, you might want to give them a call. They’ve certainly perfected the art of making food an unforgettable experience – for all the wrong reasons.
So, if you’re looking for overpriced, flavorless dishes, served by staff who couldn’t care less, all while being denied basic hydration and enduring marathon-like wait times between courses – L'Huitrière is your spot. Bravo, L'Huitrière, you’ve set a new standard for terrible dining. I’ll be telling everyone about this place... just not in the way you’d hope.

19/09/2024: This is the first review of Google Maps. I visited because Chatgpt recommended it. They didn't give me a fork or water for over 10 minutes after I ordered. I felt very bad and asked for water as they had not given it to me. I was asked if I wanted natural or sparkling, so I chose non-carbonated natural. Later, I found out that the water cost 5 euros and I appealed, saying, "It's not the water I wanted," but they continued to charge me. Since my child was next to me, I just endured it and came out. In conclusion, this was the worst restaurant I've been to in Europe for over a month.

13/07/2024: We ordered shawarma takeaway and the yallah burger. We ate them directly to enjoy them while walking. Sadly, the food was cold. The shawarma were badly wrapped and honestly, I wouldn't call them a shawarma. An authentic lebanese shawarma should be wrapped tightly and toasted afterwards on the grill for a couple of minutes to give it a crunch. I wouldn't call the food lebanese at all. If you're Lebanese don't get tempted to go there. In addition, it was overpriced for the portions that we got. Do not recommend.

26/07/2024: Nous sommes allés à la même période il y a un an et nous avons bien apprécié l’endroit et la nourriture !
Nous y sommes retournés cette année pour faire découvrir ce bel endroit dans nos souvenirs à des amis et nous avons été assez déçu ! Ce n’est plus ce que c’était … ils ont certainement changé de cuisinier car ce n’est plus la même chose pour résumer c’est plus cher et pas très bon ( ils n’ont plus de viviers comme auparavant pour les homards qu’ils vous présentaient à table vivant, avant de les cuisiner,!) . Une chose est certaine, je ne ferai plus la publicité de ce restaurant et n’y retournerai plus.

Nous sommes satisfait de notre déjeuner. il ne manquait que les nappes blanches à la terrasse couverte pour garder le standing de "grand restaurant".
Le personnel est très gentil et attentionné.

Guarded parking 800m away, it’s nice. Possibility of unloading luggage in front of the hotel.
29/08/2024: The last time I went before it burned, there were bedbugs, in short you tell them and they laugh, a place to avoid, frankly, I would prefer it much better
