20/11/2025: I'm giving it four stars because it's a good restaurant, but the manager isn't very friendly. You go in for a coffee, and the guy doesn't even crack a smile. I came with someone who wasn't feeling well, and I can understand the manager, but what happened wasn't my fault or my friend's. The guy just wanted to act all high and mighty, but he ran away from us, so that's no excuse for avoiding my gaze.

14/02/2026: A truly wonderful evening at "L'Avant Seine," a perfect evening indeed! An idyllic setting on and by the water. A cozy and refined atmosphere, a smiling, welcoming, and sunny team, and then the meal! Divine from appetizer to dessert, excellent ingredients, beautifully presented and cooked, all served on fine and elegant tableware. It was absolutely delicious and refined. A wonderful discovery that makes me want to try it in other seasons. We even had a little concert during our meal! The brunch also tempts me greatly, as do the oyster mornings! I'm especially looking forward to seeing the spring/summer menu! Bravo to the whole team! Best of luck and long live L'Avant Seine! Thank you for this magnificent pre-Valentine's Day experience! Go without hesitation and let yourself be swept away!

22/02/2026: One star for a Michelin-starred restaurant A disastrous experience! The service was completely inadequate for a Michelin-starred establishment, making the whole experience very unpleasant. There were four of us, but we arrived two at a time and were seated at separate tables. It took us 20 minutes to realize we were all there, and the waiter simply said, "Oops, a little hiccup." The rest of the dinner was much the same: aperitifs were served very slowly, and our order was taken at the same time as the aperitif—you can't be expected to think. Mineral water was served like mint tea, and it was difficult to set the plates down properly. The time between courses was very long (we ate for four hours! Luckily, we only ordered the four-course menu and not the six-course one). Crumbs were poorly cleared. Empty glasses were left on the table. And there was this unpleasant feeling of being a nuisance to the service! This isn't how it's supposed to work. Service should be discreet. The sommelier's service was reminiscent of a neighborhood bar, completely out of sync with the dishes, and there was no explanation of what the wine paired with each course (one glass for both appetizers, which was a shame, as they'd have to know!). The wines served were unusual, perhaps too unusual? The food fared a little better, thankfully, although the bread was overcooked and not at all practical for the dishes served. We were disappointed by the John Dory, which was very salty. The appetizers and desserts, however, were very good and refined. In short, a very, very big disappointment, with no attempt at self-reflection from the staff and no attempt to compensate for the minor issues!

22/02/2026: We were disappointed by the service this time. Very little attention was paid, nothing like our previous experiences at this restaurant. We had to ask for water several times. We had ordered two bottles: one sparkling and one still, and they were still half full when we left.

17/01/2026: The chef is fantastic; everything is delicious, flavorful, and made with quality ingredients. The service is also quick and always pleasant. It's a shame it's become so expensive lately: €17 for a bowl of Japanese rice made with simple, inexpensive ingredients. I don't go there as often anymore, which is a pity; it used to be my go-to lunch spot.

15/02/2026: A Valentine's Day evening ruined by a lack of skill. We were very disappointed with our experience. One of the dishes was served to us completely raw. Despite two trips back to the kitchen, the problem was never fixed. The service didn't make up for it either: with only about ten tables, mistakes multiplied, not just at our table, but throughout the entire dining room. A regrettable lack of professionalism for such an occasion.

26/01/2025: Takeaway Cantonese rice. For Italians who are used to other rice, fried and tasty, know that this is anything but the Cantonese rice found in Italian restaurants in Chinese. Terrible and flavorless, it tasted like the rice I tried to make at home on my own.

15/02/2026: We had a very good meal. I would have been tempted to give it only 4 stars for two reasons: a very limited menu for Valentine's Day, and a slightly tense atmosphere among the staff. I'm a regular customer, and you deserve your 5 stars. You managed to handle a large crowd tonight with professionalism, speed, and quality of cuisine. You can be proud of tonight's service. However, I don't think customers need to experience the slight tension between the staff. Finally, the set menu (choice of 1 aperitif, 3 starters, 3 main courses, 2 desserts) is understandable given the high volume of customers, but it would have been nice to have a drinks menu in addition to the set menu (for an extra charge for an aperitif, bottle of wine, or coffee/digestif).

08/02/2026: A very friendly atmosphere, spotlessly clean, the food is simple yet excellent, especially the couscous. I highly recommend it. If you're in the Bagnolet area, this is the place to eat. The prices are very reasonable, and there's something for everyone.

06/02/2026: The value for money wasn't great. The tender beef was good but too salty, served with a tasteless potato gratin. The fries weren't homemade. The mango tiramisu was good but too creamy. On the other hand, the bread was very good. There's a €0.99 surcharge for online payments; we paid at the register. Thanks for the experience, but I won't be back. Best of luck.
