19/02/2026: Originally from Guadeloupe and visiting the city, we came for lunch. We stopped at the Place Nationale, saw the restaurant, and noticed it was full, but we wanted to get some information (if they offered other services or if we could come another day) and ask questions. The waitress, barely arrived, offered a less than warm welcome, didn't take the time to listen to us, and promptly ushered us towards the exit, suggesting another restaurant. It's not my habit to criticize a restaurant, and one can understand certain situations, knowing that the restaurant business isn't easy. But there's an art to how you interact with customers; first impressions are crucial. This review isn't intended to criticize this establishment, but rather to encourage the staff to be more attentive to how they welcome potential customers. I am responding to your feedback: Sir, your sarcastic response only confirms the lack of professionalism we experienced. Before writing a review, we took the time to consult your positive feedback. Unfortunately, the reality was quite different. To claim that it is abnormal to enter a full restaurant to ask for information or make a future reservation is a rather peculiar view of hospitality. You praise the welcome "Madame" gives to your regular customers, but on that day, for us, as Black and Afro-descendant women, the welcome was icy and the expulsion swift. This stark contrast between the glowing reviews and our experience raises a legitimate question about the impartiality of your service. And yet, my colleague returned to calmly tell "Madame" that the way she spoke to me could have caused discomfort, and I was. She became defensive and even more dismissive. Finally, please be aware that your fellow restaurant owners in the city, where we were received with the respect due to any customer, were the first to be shocked by your attitude and do not share your vision of service at all. A true professional knows how to question themselves instead of hiding behind their "regulars" to justify discriminatory behavior.

18/02/2026: Excellent cuisine, beautifully presented dishes, and impeccable service. Smiles and friendliness are always present. All this at a very reasonable price. I highly recommend this restaurant located under the arcades of the lovely Place Nationale in Montauban.

18/03/2026: Hotel located in a small village, very cozy. The rooms are spacious with comfortable beds and large TVs with cable channels. The shower has excellent water pressure, perfect after a long day at work 👍 The restaurant is fantastic with extensive menus and attractive prices. Breakfast was excellent, and the service was top-notch! If you're ever in the area, don't hesitate to stay here.

27/02/2026: I've been going to this restaurant for over 25 years. Le Sampa is a must-visit in Montauban, both for the quality of its food and the warm welcome from its staff. A cozy atmosphere in winter and a superb terrace in summer, right in the heart of the city. The dishes are excellent and flavorful. A real treat. The owners always greet you with a smile and are attentive to their customers' well-being. A winning combination for a restaurant that has stood the test of time thanks to the impeccable quality of its service. Excellent value for money too. I love it and highly recommend it! A must-try for those who haven't yet discovered it…

04/12/2024: Very pleasant moment with a magnificent environment. The “Treetop” room was perfect and identical to the photos with the “Soft” package. However, be careful when cleaning the rooms (trash in the bathroom not emptied) and when waiting in the restaurant (3 hours for dinner). We were there to take our time but waiting 30 minutes just to take the aperitif order seemed a bit long. Breakfast, also perfect. Lots of choice, very good products and preparations made directly (pancakes, crepes). The services offered are truly perfect.

20/04/2026: Lunch in an unusual setting, somewhere between a restaurant and a shop. Local dishes were on offer. We had a pleasant lunch even though we couldn't use the terrace.

07/04/2026: Easter Monday...the leg of lamb was excellent and plentiful. The strawberry tart (made with local strawberries) was excellent. The staff are welcoming; the service is quick; the place is very pretty. I recommend it.

18/04/2026: A very generous meal, really inexpensive considering it was from the Swiss area. The Swiss fondue lived up to my expectations, the fondue bourguignonne was delicious, and the welcome was warm. Thank you for this lovely time!

06/01/2026: Fantastic place! I go there regularly with friends for lunch or afternoon tea. The food is excellent, everything is homemade, and I'm always blown away every time I go. The dishes are both simple and feature very interesting flavor combinations. The desserts are absolutely divine; my favorite is the banoffee pie 😍 If I could, I'd give it 10 out of 5 stars. It's my absolute favorite, and it was high time I left a review.

19/04/2026: We spent three nights at the Capuchin Abbey from April 16th to 20th. The place is beautiful and its renovation respects the spirit of the Abbey. The location is fantastic, and the city center is very easy to reach on foot. The free hotel parking is a real plus. Our room was spacious and functional. The staff was professional, friendly, and helpful. The breakfast was good with a variety of options. Thank you to Julie at the hotel's bistro for her warm welcome, service, and kindness. We will definitely return to the Abbey if we are ever in the area again. While there are always areas for improvement, honestly, for the price, the service is excellent. I have only one word to say to the team: "Keep it up!" Odon and Nathalie

02/04/2026: Great bar in Montauban, I highly recommend it. Whether you're there for a meal or just a drink, you're guaranteed a great time. The atmosphere is fantastic, friendly and lively; you feel right at home as soon as you walk in. Whether it's lunchtime or dinnertime, there's always a great vibe. The food is delicious, a real treat. And the drinks are just as good, perfect for relaxing and enjoying time with friends. A truly excellent spot, I highly recommend it.
