03/02/2024: Great place for lunch in Fayence. We chose the 2 course lunch at a reasonably priced €29 and were not disappointed. Interesting starters with seasonal ingredients - we enjoyed quail, fish soup and mixed vegetarian dishes. For mains we chose veal, venison and sea bream. Lovely flavours, fresh vegetables and great presentation. We were lucky with the weather for early February and sat out on the sunny terrace. We will be back.

But we expected it.
My parents ate there last month and they were delighted.
It was plentiful and very good.
Fast and friendly service.
Original aperitifs, impressive choice of wines, even if they don't have pitchers, I found wine from my country.
We will return there regularly.

A real gourmet restaurant.

26/03/2024: We were walking in the beautiful Fayence when we realized we were hungry. We checked the recommendations of our kind Airbnb host and ended in the "beautiful" Le temps des cerises. We were greeted by the only waiter. The restaurant was empty because it was still early (12 pm). The first realization came when we did not order an apperitif. The waiter was shocked and his face said it all. Then he proceed to show us the menu. We are a really connected couple so we always share our food, and in that specific day we were not so hungry so we only wanted to taste the best food of fayence. A little dish and have the romantinc french experience we were hoping to have. We called the waiter and expressed our wish to share the Speciliaty of the Chef: The ramen soup. To our awe, the waiter told us he was not sure that that was possible, so he went and asked the chef. He came back with a stocking answer: We were obliged to order at least one more plate.
They failed to be in service. Like we were asking for food and plus the restaurant was empty! So the first time we realize that the waiter was not amused by us not ordering for appertif neither a wine (health aware people who simply don't drink alcohol or sugar). Because we wanted to taste a bit of this tasty french food in this recommended place, we only wanted to order a dish and share it. Even this was not possible after the waiter asked the chef. He wanted us to order at least a second dish. So in the end the truth is that we were being asked to order more food than we have been hungry for. IT MAKES NO DAMN SENSE. Again the restaurant was empty! There wouldn't have been any loss for a higher income of other guests in that moment. AND THE TIP OF THE ICEBERG was that we were even not able to pay by card the 7€ water. It must have been water from the Himalayas...
CONCLUSION:
1. You go to a restaurant what's purpose is to serve food
2. Your order food but they say NO
It is like you go to the hairdresser and they don't want to cut your hair. Or you go to the hospital and they don't want to tape you.
ENTREPRENEURIAL MINDESET: BIG FAILURE!
