03/08/2024: We rented from Madame Vacances. Well located place. When we arrived we were surprised, we were given the keys but without an inspection of the premises. The holiday home is perfect, quiet, the swimming pool is great. (Burkini accepted). We have an assigned parking space. On the other hand, it was our surprise when we returned to the accommodation: there were animal hairs everywhere, on the beds, on the floor, I'm not talking about the dust. We had to ask for disposable mattress covers and cushions otherwise it was impossible to sleep on the beds. One bed could not be used, but girls had to sleep 2 in the same bed. The fridge wasn't even washed, we had to clean it before using it, tiny drying rack for 5 prsne. The house hasn't been cleaned in a while. The furniture smelled of damp and so did the dishes. We got a parasol without the base, when we asked we were given a moldy parasol so that was really a shame. While waiting for their new base which had just been ordered to arrive. Fortunately we didn't spend a lot of time in the house but more outside. Finally, no one checked the condition of the house when we left, we just returned the keys to reception.

28/07/2024: It's been a long time since we rented in a residence like this! Assigned parking space for each accommodation. A large cottage (there are 4 of us, I took for 6 people) with terrace and garden furniture, 2 bathrooms, 2 toilets, 2 bedrooms, large mezzanine with sofa bed and a washing machine. A small individual terrace. No opposite the adjoining house. The houses, however, remain close to each other. Wifi is only available at reception. The swimming pool is large. The staff is attentive and friendly. Walking distance to the forest for walks with your dogs, beach, bike rentals, Rosalie...inflatable structures, restaurants....Really great!

23/08/2024: came for lunch, we were very very disappointed with this brasserie, arrived at 12:25 p.m. for a quick lunch before going back to work, 50 minutes later, the first course finally arrives, (sea casserole) the dish is lukewarm, the fish is dry and the pasta is hard, impossible to finish, it's so unappetizing waiting another 40 minutes to finally see the frozen dessert (frozen nougat) we will not come back, too much waiting for very mediocre products

25/12/2023: Delicious Christmas meal, impeccable service. 10/10. I highly recommend

07/09/2024: Rien à dire de négatif. Tout était parfait de la réservation à l'addition. Bon rapport qualité prix. Pas plus cher qu'un resto classique. Un bon cadre. Je le recommande à 100%

07/08/2024: We begin to settle down to be on the terrace, until the waiter realizes that there is a baby with us and... He sighs and makes a comment to the other customers because the baby of two month in question cries! It’s deplorable to see this! We immediately turned around in the face of the lack of know-how of the staff that day! Unacceptable to see the behavior and the welcome that was given to us! The star was just to share our short experience with the boom

07/08/2024: How can I describe my disappointment to see that this kind of behavior exists. We came as a family to enjoy the setting of the embankment. I would like to point out that I am from Sable and that my family came on vacation here. We sat outside with my baby who was crying from hunger. The look and behavior of the waiter shocked me enormously in the face of this inherently common situation. It's still amazing to see that families can't come and take advantage of its service. I myself was embarrassed and ashamed in front of my family who did not know the Sables d'Olonne. If I understood correctly a retso bar NOT ADAPT: . To the family . Baby . Tourists . Premises (les sables d’olonne) One piece of advice is not to bother opening it. What an image it really is for our traders. I even think that one star is way too many. I really don't recommend it.

16/07/2024: Very nice little hotel right by the forest right on the Plage des Dames. Lovely hosts and very friendly staff and excellent food. Also a perfect starting point for walks, hikes or excursions on the island. We'll definitely come back at some point.

20/08/2024: Idéal pour manger à 2 rapidement un midi sans réservation, nous sommes arrivés dans ce petit resto sans prétention et l'accueil a été parfait, alors que nous n'avions pas réservé, le plat du jour était délicieux, je recommande mais bien penser à réserver

12/08/2024: Très bon restaurant rapide personnel très efficaces . Les moules les sauces top. Bravo au cuisinier frites maison rare de bonne qualité nous somme régalés . Allez y les yeux fermés

25/07/2024: Out for a small family meal. Food was good and fresh. I had the veggie crumble - not huge but tasty. Reasonably priced overall. Good service

04/09/2024: Nous ne recommandons pas ce lieu au vu de l'improprete des cuisines. Des passants nous ont indiqué que ce lieu était un très mauvais choix, c'est donc de notoriété publique pour les résidents de l île. Nous n'avons rien consommé et sommes partis.

25/07/2024: Vraiment déçue Charcuterie rance pain rassis, les galettes très moyennes avec une mauvaise garniture, verres sales et alors les WC hygiène très mauvaise on se demande comment c est dans la cuisine ??? A ça on ajoute intoxication alimentaire moins de 24 heures après le passage, chercher l erreur

07/06/2024: A warm and pleasant place, where you eat very well! Whether it's lunch or dinner, we're always well served! Self-service or à la carte formula, the products are fresh, the recipes are changed regularly and it's good! Plenty of space in the restaurant with 2 rooms, one of which is very large for events or other large-table meetings. The team is welcoming and smiling! I recommend for your daily or passing meals!

10/01/2025: Réveillon du 31/12/24 Soirée sympa, cependant je reste un peu déçu des prestations, franchement je m attendais à mieux. L entrée servi sur une planche en centre de table, pourquoi pas , mais pas de Petite assiette individuelle pour se servir et manger le foie gras...🫤 c'est un peu dommage... Et le Appenzeller coulant (fromage ) pas top pour moi , une portion de bon fromage aurait fait le job 😉. Merci

24/11/2024: Très bon brunch très copieux. Tout est compris dans le prix mais ça reste cher malgré tout ! Cadre tres agreable en plein centre ville. Réservation conseillée.

11/08/2024: Désolé mais beaucoup trop d'avis dithyrambiques me force à écrire ces quelques mots. Je vais faire au plus court possible. Nous avons été assez deçus dans l'ensemble. Surtout par la surcuisson de la volaille de mon plat ! Un peu trop salé par ci, un peu trop cuit par là et savoir que quelques desserts ne sont pas fait maison ( c'est en tout cas tout à votre honneur de le signaler...) s'en fut trop pour moi. Je ne pense pas que "notre repas" méritais vraiment un 12/20 au Gault et Millau ! J'espère que nous sommes tombés plutôt sur un mauvais jour pour vous.... Mais au final c'est le même prix sur l'addition. Soyez vigilants, notre présence dans les guides vaut surtout pour la régularité dans notre travail quelque soit le niveau de compétence que nous possédons ! De la part d'un confrère qui faisait tout maison a base de produits frais, même le pain et qui a été au Michelin et avait 12/20 au GM pendant 15 ans. Bonne continuation.

04/08/2024: Nous dinons dans ce restaurant depuis plus de 10 ans, les propriétaires ont changé mais Karine et Fabian - les repreneurs - ont su mettre tout leur coeur à proposer des plats succulents et délicieusement dressés. Le service en salle est fait avec une attention particulière pour chaque convive ce qui est très agréable... chacun se sent reconnu. C'est toujours une grande joie d'y aller dîner et bien entendu nous recommandons ce restaurant local qui vous proposera des plats locaux et delicieux !

Ditto for his wife, very friendly boss who listens fully to her customers. A beautiful memory of St Gilles and some sweets that we take home to Center France. All our compliments

12/07/2024: Le personnel est très souriant . J’ajoute que chaque plat est local et très bon . Nous avons aimé tous ces plats frais et variés .On sent que dans ce restaurant , il y a une VRAIE attention de nous faire plaisir . Nous avons été enchantés de la Mijoterie . A RECOMMANDER !

05/07/2024: Absolument détestable.Restez en dehors de ses plats,de ses verres en duralex ,de ses tables trop serrées ,et ....de ses cafés froids.NOTE:UN GRAND ZERO!!!!!
