06/09/2026: A lovely little restaurant with a warm welcome from both the owner and the chef. The decor remains true to the style of his small-town restaurants, adding to the charm of the place and in no way detracting from the quality of the service and the food. The menu offers something for everyone, and its (limited) selection hints at the quality. We sampled the foie gras, razor clams, cuttlefish stew, steak, and a pavlova. Everything was delicious. We also appreciated the fact that the owner was free to choose the wine. We had a wonderful time.

05/09/2026: On September 5th, my brother and I went to dinner at the Menhir restaurant in Avrillé. As usual, the cuisine is refined, but tonight our taste buds were truly delighted by Elvire's cooking. The stuffed razor clams were a stunning starter, and her lamb was absolutely divine. Don't hesitate to visit the Menhir restaurant to experience a truly exceptional culinary adventure. A huge thank you to Elvire and Jean-Pascal, the brothers.

27/08/2026: A must-visit during our stays in Les Sables-d’Olonne! We come to Bistrot Sablais every year during our stay in Les Sables-d’Olonne, and it’s always a pleasure to return. It’s become a real tradition for us! The welcome is warm and friendly. The place is very pleasant, modern, and beautifully decorated, making for a truly enjoyable experience. A special mention goes to the manager, who is incredibly friendly, attentive, and business-minded. Her welcome and helpfulness are particularly appreciated. An address we happily recommend and where we will return, as we do every year!

18/09/2026: Everything was perfect. The meal, the setting, the tranquility, and the lack of foot traffic. We enjoyed hake, tuna, and a gourmet coffee that we shared; everything was excellent. The portions were generous for average-sized eaters. The staff and manager were very pleasant. We're actually going back for lunch today. A restaurant with excellent value for money.

26/08/2026: A fantastic find! Unbeatable value for money, the exterior is lovely, and the staff are incredibly attentive. The food is delicious, and the cocktails are original. The children's menu is €14, but it's well worth it! The dishes are just as elaborate as the adult menu!

25/07/2026: Parking was very difficult to find, so allow plenty of time to avoid being late. Once you're seated, it's pure bliss. The staff is very friendly, and the burgers are excellent and generous. The price is very reasonable. A great experience; I highly recommend it.

04/09/2026: A small but excellent menu, very good service, and a simple yet pleasant atmosphere. The staff were very helpful. My wife got a grain of sand in her eye just before we left for dinner. One of the servers got some hydrogen peroxide and put a drop in her eye. Afterwards, he gave us the phone number and address of an ambulance. We highly recommend this restaurant.

23/08/2026: Passing through Les Herbiers, we were looking for a place to have a drink. As we walked down the street, the manager greeted us, but we didn't hear him. We asked him if we could have a drink, and he gave us a rude, dismissive reception, accusing us of being impolite and lacking in manners: "No, I won't serve you anything." So much for hospitality...

31/08/2026: We returned to this establishment after our visit last year for my sixtieth birthday. We were there as a family in a large private room, and the evening, the meal, and the welcome were wonderful. This year, we dined as a couple, my wife and I. The table layout provides plenty of space for everyone and ensures real comfort. The rooms are bright with a stunning ocean view. The service is impeccable, with attentive service. The sommelier gave us excellent advice and introduced us to a superb Pessac-Léognan. The dishes were delicious, and the service flowed smoothly without a long wait. Not wanting to finish our bottle of wine, I asked to take it home, and we were delighted to find a kind note accompanying it when it was delivered to our house. The pastry chef presented his creations, and in this instance, the harmony between sweet and tangy was perfect in our strawberry-rhubarb dessert. Bravo, Chef, for taking a risk! This is a restaurant and a place you'll want to visit again and again. We highly recommend it. A big thank you to the whole team for a wonderful experience.
