The view behind the restaurant and the village are definitely worth the trip!

13/04/2026: We come to Avalon regularly, yet we had never had lunch at this well-known restaurant, which deserves to be even more so, especially for those who appreciate the excellence of traditional French cuisine. Perhaps the facade, currently being renovated, will contribute to this?
In any case, our lunch for four was excellent. They have a good wine cellar... A place to discover or rediscover.

29/03/2026: Excellent service, very good food, and very affordable prices. I highly recommend it.
15/02/2026: We stopped at the bar for lunch before our train to Paris. The welcome was so warm, the homemade dishes were delicious and made with care, and the staff were so friendly! You can tell the regulars come back with pleasure.

15/04/2026: The food was quite tasty, well-prepared, and seasoned.
Perhaps a little pricey for what it was.
The downside that day was the wait, or even the fact that some customers were forgotten, as the number of staff serving was too low compared to the number of customers at the tables.
13/04/2026: We were familiar with Dame Jeanne d’Avalon in the past, but this time we met new people (due to a change of ownership). Gone is the slightly old-fashioned feel of Dame Jeanne’s former tea room and restaurant, where tourists and office workers used to flock at lunchtime to enjoy the owner’s homemade cooking… Now, a young chef is working in the kitchen, while his young partner, among other things, serves in the dining room and on the lovely garden terrace. A good first impression already; to be continued.

Excellent value for money.
04/01/2026: Set menu, one starter only, choice of two main courses, and one dessert only. Excellent value for money.
The restaurant decor is rather cold...you don't want to linger, no atmosphere or warmth. It's not the same as when we were used to the previous owners, but the food is good, which is the main thing.

26/09/2024: I stayed at the gîte during my stay, a quiet and relaxing place, the place has a large garden which must be pleasant on sunny days. Very warm welcome, good value for money meal. I recommend this place.

27/07/2024: Un essai ayant passé par 2 fois à côté de cet établissement sans s'y arrêter, mais en le repérant...franchement pas déçu et nous avons gardé l'adresse !
21/07/2024: Le cadre est sympathique, l' établissement vient d' être repris par le célèbre homme d' affaires Julien Cohen.
Belle piscine exterieure appreciable en été.
Repas 40€ avec 3 plats (voir photos et commentaires) bien
Cocktail orangeade citron cointreau 9 € mais aucune saveur de cointreau dommage.
Pour la partie hotelière très propre, baignoire pas pratique, petit déjeuner copieux et de bons produits

17/06/2024: Génial 👍 un lieu a ne pas rater nous avons voyagé dans le passé et redécouvert une multitude d'objets des années 80 et les crêpes sont excellentes. Nos petits enfants et enfants ont adorés.
15/06/2024: deze creperie heeft een heel uitgebreid aanbod. Het interieur is een collectie van speelgoed en andere items uit de zestiger jaren. Heel origineel. De bediening is er vlot en de kwaliteit van het eten goed.
