27/01/2026: The hotel is very well located, clean, and comfortable. The staff is welcoming. The breakfast is varied. As for the Gaée restaurant, it was disappointing! We chose this restaurant, drawn in by its semi-gastronomic positioning and generally positive reviews. Unfortunately, the experience fell short. The dishes were presented nicely, but clearly lacked flavor and finesse. For such high prices, one expects more sophisticated flavor combinations. The service, while polite, was very fast, even too fast. In short, an okay restaurant, but one that doesn't justify its prices.

26/02/2026: Discovering the aquarium and the restaurant. The pros: - The generous and separate side dishes - The menu items - The lounge areas at the entrance and behind the bar - The baby changing area, which isn't in the women's restroom, and whose changing mat is on a firm surface (a huge plus for a wriggling child!) - The high chair, as well as the offer to warm up food (even though I didn't need it) - The view The cons (which wasn't a surprise, since we mentioned it during our meal): Only soft drinks or cocktails are entitled to appetizers, but not a glass of wine or beer. The absurdity of this meant that, on that day (a Monday during school holidays, near La Rochelle), the appetizers were served to two children at the table next to us (the youngest of whom wouldn't have been entitled to them, according to any parent strictly following the recommendations for introducing solids...). I did not appreciate that the "fault" (of the lack of service, then of the lack of information) was placed on "the colleague who is starting today".

19/02/2026: Okay! But the portion sizes at that price are unacceptable. What a shame.

16/02/2026: The fish and chips were inedible. I told the waiters, who weren't surprised. I'm writing this review here to prevent others from experiencing the same disappointment. It's a real shame because the setting is nicely decorated and the waiters are attentive.
