30/10/2025: My wife and I had a great time. The ribeye steak and fries were excellent. My wife's salmon was perfect, and the apple crumble was amazing! The portions were very generous. We should come back more often. Thank you both.

09/04/2026: Great food and service. We saw recommendations and tried this restaurant on the last night we were in Nîmes. It was worth it. We ordered confit duck meatball and guinea fowl with chestnuts and sweet potatoes. Both were delicious.

The atmosphere was certainly lively! 😂 We were in Nîmes for a funeral and chose Le Ménestrel after searching for good restaurants in Nîmes. Well, it wasn't just good, no! It was excellent in every way! 👍 Not to mention the kindness of the owners. 😀 We'll definitely be back! 😉👌

08/04/2026: We were able to visit twice during our stay, the second time with our dogs. The server was helpful and very pleasant. They had about ten beers on tap and many more to take away. A great spot for beer lovers.

06/03/2026: It's a bar that the people of Nîmes love. A wide selection of bottled and draft beers, you can have a snack there, and a mezzanine terrace provides coolness in the summer.

29/05/2026: Very good service, excellent pizza, nice setting. The owners' welcome was a bit impersonal, but never mind. However, the salad was the very definition of a joke. Three pieces of arugula, two pieces of ham, a half-melted bit of goat cheese, four slices of tomato. 15 euros! When you go to a restaurant, you expect a little something extra. There was absolutely nothing there. I'm not a cook, and I make the same salad at home, better and better presented, for 3 euros. Really not great, and I'm kicking myself for not sending it back. Lesson learned. In the meantime, there are other very good pizzerias in Nîmes that actually respect the dishes they serve.

04/05/2026: Probably the best bar in Nîmes; Anthony is an excellent bartender 🙏🏼 Cheap beers, two-euro pool, and free darts: what more could you ask for?

25/04/2026: Great spot to enjoy a whisky or rum, whether you're a connoisseur or a beginner. Very welcoming, professional advice, good music, and right in the city center. A must-try for locals and tourists alike.

04/05/2026: We made reservations through Google Maps and found there was a high top for 2 outside with our name on it. We were greeted by a friendly waiter who showed us the table. Service was great throughout. We had 2 white wines each, one recommended by the waiter. 3 tapa orders were plenty of delicious food for us. I wish I had taken pictures of the specials of the night so I could describe them better but they were all very good. My favorite was pork dumplings with 2 dipping sauces. My wife’s favorite was an asparagus based topping on a toast slices. 49 eur total. Great meal!

29/04/2026: I visited this place on April 29th during a very busy period. I am ashamed of the appalling behavior of some customers. There was indeed a wait (understandable given the crowd). Impatient customers pushed their way to the register to vent their anger at the poor, overwhelmed employees. Such rudeness did not leave me indifferent, and I wanted to acknowledge the courage, kindness, and patience shown by the staff. I will gladly return, wait or no wait.
