26/10/2025: A gem!!! We discovered this little restaurant by chance, and frankly, we're delighted. A wonderful welcome, a superb meal with generous portions of homemade dishes. We left with a smile on our faces! So cool!

08/07/2025: I've been coming here for many years. It's a very pleasant place, everything is very good, the service is always friendly, and the products are fresh and high-quality! I recommend it 100%.

03/07/2025: To be avoided URGENTLY, haughty staff, ugly, grizzled bearded man with glasses, unbearable, he should do another job. Turning away 8 people on a Thursday at the end of the day. Apparently no need for money!! So many people... waiters with arms crossed 👎👎👎

06/11/2025: The hotel manager's behavior is unacceptable. He speaks rudely to guests and uses the common areas to watch TV in the middle of the reception area, preventing other guests from accessing it. The same goes for the breakfast manager and the bartender, who mock guests the manager dislikes, presumably to curry favor with him. Fortunately, the seasonal staff and cleaning staff are much more pleasant. This hotel could have been decent were it not for this oppressive atmosphere and the manager's insulting behavior towards some guests. There are much better options in the city!

29/10/2025: An unforgettable stay! The location is simply exceptional: right next to the citadel and just steps from the heart of Calvi. The hotel offers perfect amenities and impeccable service. The staff is always attentive and caring, making the stay even more enjoyable. Breakfast, with its breathtaking view of the sea and the citadel, is a truly delightful experience. The swimming pool is an added bonus for ending the day perfectly. A special touch that made all the difference: the warm and genuine welcome from the family who own the hotel, which gives the place a unique soul and atmosphere. 07/07/2025: One of the best beach clubs (if not the best) in Calvi. Excellent location, ample parking and easy access. The owner/host is always there and keeps a keen eye to make sure everything is just right. Facilities were very clean and well maintained. Sunbeds were of teak, no plastic here. Mattresses were linen, very nice indeed. However, towels are not provided, please bring your own. The restaurant was quite good. Good wine selection and cuisine was fresh and very well prepared. Excellent espresso. Enjoy.

06/07/2025: Impeccable food and service. In the years we've been eating at U Ricantu, we've never been disappointed once; every dish is delicious. The Google rating really doesn't reflect the quality of the food and service! Thank you, Patrick!

02/10/2025: A very rushed server, even though there were only six of us in total! A poorly printed, illegible bill. I asked for a duplicate, which was refused. What a shame! The only positive aspect was the sea view. Avoid!

26/11/2025: It's been a while since my last visit. But I spent the summers of my youth here in 1989 and 1990. Great experiences, and the Bar du Golfe was a fantastic place.

03/10/2025: Restaurant to avoid. Very average cuisine, however the bill can quickly add up when you order a Moorish meal and they charge you 1.50 extra for the orgeat syrup...and 3 euros extra for a dessert that isn't on the menu (a crème brûlée!!)...it's a steal...congratulations

24/09/2025: Seated immediately without reservation, only one waitress so rather long service... numerous service hiccups around us, forgetfulness or errors in orders, then to top it all off, following an early departure of 2 dissatisfied customers, a huge argument broke out in the restaurant between the boss, the waitress and the cooks, atmosphere at its best!! As for the meal, the paella was very generous, well garnished but without any real interest....

29/09/2024: Breakfast disappointment and unpleasant service We were disappointed by our experience at the L'Escale restaurant during a breakfast with a group of five people. At 13 euros per person, breakfast includes a hot drink, orange juice, yogurt, half a baguette with butter and two jams, as well as a pastry. Unfortunately, the service left much to be desired. As soon as we arrived, the waitress was not the most pleasant. We had to wait a long time for our pastries, and when we asked where they were, the answer was curt: "I told you I put them in the oven." It was not the kind of attentive, friendly service you would expect, especially for a convivial occasion like breakfast. What surprised us the most was to learn that the pastries were frozen, while the bread came directly from the baker. We politely expressed our preference for fresh pastries, but the waitress said they were better frozen. At no time did she take our opinion into account, remaining cold and unpleasant throughout the exchange. In summary, the value for money does not justify the experience, especially in the face of such unwelcoming service. One positive point: the fresh bread was good, but the attitude of the staff and the frozen pastries tarnished our stay. Move on and go a little further because the prices are more attractive and the welcome is much more pleasant.

27/09/2024: I had breakfast and must say the experience was disappointing. The chocolatines were frozen, which really ruined our meal. When we mentioned this to the waitress, her response was less than professional. She even told us that she preferred frozen chocolatines rather than those from the bakery. This attitude left us perplexed and certainly did not help to improve the atmosphere. I don't recommend this place if you're looking for a good breakfast.
