12/04/2026: The hotel is very well located, the staff are remarkably kind, and the room we stayed in was very comfortable with a balcony overlooking the sea. The only slight drawback was the size of the room, which was a little small for a superior room, but this is a minor detail compared to all the positive aspects of the hotel and the view from the restaurant directly overlooking the sea and the citadel of Calvi.
04/03/2026: A very pleasant stay at the Hôtel Le Méditerranée in Calvi during a business trip.
What makes this hotel truly unique is, above all, its exceptional location, practically at the foot of the Calvi citadel. The setting is magnificent, with a superb view of the bay and an environment that immediately gives the impression of being on vacation, even when you're there for work.
I particularly enjoyed the swimming pool on the terrace, seemingly suspended above the landscape, offering a magnificent panorama of the sea and mountains. It's the perfect place to relax after a busy day.
Another very pleasant surprise was the quality of the restaurant, with its refined and very enjoyable cuisine. It's a real bonus when staying there.
And above all, a big thank you to the owners for their kindness and warm welcome, which give this establishment a friendly and authentic atmosphere.
A truly wonderful place to stay in Calvi, ideally located just steps from the citadel and the town center, which I highly recommend.

15/07/2026: Efficient service, good value for money. Breathtaking view of the port and the bay of Calvi. In short, I recommend it.
11/07/2026: Positive points:
The view, the fast service, the cocktails.
Negative points:
The salads were tasteless, just green leaves (for €17), and the table was dirty. The bill was exorbitant: €60 for two salads, two drinks, and a small charcuterie platter.
The manager had the nerve to criticize his server, loudly telling him to get moving to show he was in charge (ridiculous), even though the server was doing his job perfectly well.
Very disappointed!!

06/07/2026: Avoid this place if you want to see a match!!!
We had booked a table specifically for the France vs. Paraguay match. As soon as we arrived, deafening music started playing. Since the match hadn't started yet, we didn't pay attention at first. Even during the national anthem, the music never stopped. So we left immediately. An establishment that can't manage this kind of event at all shouldn't exist. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

03/10/2025: Avoid this restaurant. The food is very average, but the bill can quickly add up when you order a "Mauresque" (a type of savory tart) and they charge you an extra €1.50 for orgeat syrup... and €3 extra for a dessert that wasn't on the menu (a crème brûlée!!). It's highway robbery... congratulations!
24/09/2025: We were seated immediately without a reservation, and there was only one waitress, so the service was rather slow. There were numerous service hiccups around us, with forgotten or incorrect orders. To top it all off, after two dissatisfied customers left early, a huge argument broke out in the restaurant between the owner, the waitress, and the cooks—the atmosphere was awful! As for the food, the paella was very generous and well-garnished, but ultimately uninteresting.

04/10/2025: Pizza at a pizzeria. You'd expect a better oven. Unfortunately, there's only an electric oven. The pizza was accordingly soft. It might have just gotten 4 stars. But a large beer (0.5l) for €10? It's even cheaper at Oktoberfest. And that's saying something! Bottom line: Eat somewhere else next time.
20/08/2025: A breathtaking experience. (Humor) What a horror! The restaurant wasn't air-conditioned, the service was appalling. We were told there would be an hour's wait for a pizza, and in the end, we decided to order something else, but it was the same thing. Thirty-five minutes for a tomato and mozzarella pizza, the same for a burger. Absolutely no organization.

02/11/2025: A disgrace. The manager is awful, speaks rudely to customers, and thinks he's above everyone else. A €15 ice cream that wasn't even worth €3—unheard of! No sense of service, no politeness whatsoever. You almost feel like you're bothering them when you pay. Avoid at all costs.

To make it clearer, I'm a local.
After I'd paid everything, the owner asked me to vote for Marine Le Pen or Bardella, even though I was with my husband, who is North African. He'd just been speaking to Bardella, so it was obvious he was North African, and visually there was no mistaking it.
It's outrageous! When you're a business owner, you keep your political opinions to yourself. At the very least, stand by them and don't take money from foreigners.
Luckily, we had a wonderful stay and were incredibly well received by the people of Balagne, because otherwise, what a deplorable impression you would have left us of this beautiful region.

22/09/2024: Je ne recommande pas ce restaurant pour plusieurs raisons.
Un plat qu on a commandé était extrêmement épicé voire immangeable retourner en cuisine ,il ramène le même plat épicé du coup la personne n a pas mangé le serveur propose un dessert un tiramisu qui n est vraiment pas bon et dit fait maison ce restaurant ne prête aucune attention à ces clients surtout quand le patron est assis un peu plus loin et qui ne réagis pas à ce problème et pour compléter cette soirée il offre le digestif et au moment de la facture on retrouve 2 café qu on a pas commandé et les digestifs qu on doit payer.
Faites demi tour et surtout éviter e restaurant bien d autres sont plus sympas
22/09/2024: Je suis vraiment déçu par ma soirée dans ce restaurant, qui organisait une « soirée Corse », mais l’expérience était loin d’être. L’événement était censé célébrer la Corse, mais la musique diffusée n'était pas uniquement corse et était beaucoup trop forte. Cela a rendu la conversation difficile et l'ambiance désagréable.J'ai commandé une salade Corsica, mais elle n’était pas conforme à ce qui était annoncé sur la carte. Il manquait le poivron, et à la place de la panzetta, j'ai reçu du jambon de pays, ce qui n’est pas du tout la même chose. En plus, le tiramisu que j’ai pris en dessert était franchement mauvais.Pour couronner le tout, on nous a facturé des cafés et des liqueurs que nous n'avons jamais commandés ni consommés. Cela donne une mauvaise impression de l'établissement.
Le patron était assis à une table, ne se levait même pas pour vérifier que tout allait bien. Il regardait autour de lui sans prêter attention aux clients, et n'a jamais pris la peine de venir voir si nous étions satisfaits. Une attitude odieuse qui a clairement contribué à gâcher l'expérience.
Je ne recommande pas ce restaurant, surtout si vous recherchez une véritable soirée corse. Il y a beaucoup d’améliorations à faire, que ce soit au niveau du service, de l'authenticité des plats, ou du respect des clients.

Truffle sushi is incredible!! we only took creations and we loved them!
To regularly eat sushi in Ajaccio, Porto Vecchio and Bastia, we were very pleasantly surprised by the prices without exaggeration, very honest, and the plate is not any smaller....
the staff, from telephone reception to service, are very kind, the house has been very attentive, attentive and commercial.
In short, we were won over!
