03/03/2026: Lovely hotel which I highly recommend. My (adult) son and I stayed here in adjoining rooms recently for six nights. Nice hotel in quite a central position in Chatel (it's a short walk up hill to the centre of the village). It was very comfortable and we had a lovely stay. The staff were very friendly. I highly recommend taking the breakfast option which was good value, plentiful and good quality. Very nice boiled eggs and plump French Kiwi fruit along with the usual cold meats, cheeses and pastries.

14/03/2026: The meal was very good, the food was delicious. However, the service staff weren't the friendliest. And the music was a bit too loud for my taste. The more people there were, the louder they got.

25/02/2026: This place is sooooo bad, when we asked for salt we received SUGAR in they’re salt containers and NOBODY cared, it felt like a joke… unfortunately it wasn’t. They should have replaced our sugary soup, sugary fries, sugary burgers and they didn’t. Clearly they don’t care about customer service.

24/03/2026: I recommend it. Very friendly waitresses and fast service. The food was very good. The prices are perhaps just a little high.

22/03/2026: I ate a berthoud completely swimming in oil... frankly disgusting. The dish was heavy, cloying, and completely unbalanced. You expect something delicious, but it was just greasy and inedible. Very disappointed by this experience.

13/03/2026: The food is very good, the gourmet coffee is generous, and it's the first place I've found that isn't too small. Despite the crowds, the staff remains courteous and helpful. A big thumbs up!

22/03/2026: This establishment promises a dream, but the reality is quite disappointing. The welcome was mediocre. The breakfast was very basic. The spa was ridiculous, with a small pool and a sauna that didn't work. Luckily, the small jacuzzi and the hammam were functional. We had to leave the establishment early due to a skiing accident, but it's fair to say the staff weren't affected. Their only concern seemed to be quickly re-letting the room so they could make a profit. For the price of the room, one would expect better. Indeed, I could have asked the helicopter taking my daughter to the hospital to make a quick detour to the hotel so I could speak directly with the manager... too bad we didn't really have the time... And what a gesture to refund us for breakfasts we couldn't eat! Truly, bravo! Furthermore, you never offered to refund our night at the hotel. I will never sing the praises of your establishment, and even less so of you personally, believe me. There's no point in reading customer reviews if you never question yourself...

21/03/2026: We drove for an hour and a half, full of hope, to find a restaurant that had left us with fond memories five years ago. The result: we would have been better off stuck in traffic; it was much more welcoming. From the moment we walked in, the tone was set: we were required to leave our coats on a rack, like in a self-service cloakroom… unattended, unhelpful, and without a word. A truly innovative concept: “fight it yourself in style.” The atmosphere in the dining room? Imagine a mix between a rainy Monday morning and a funeral without coffee. Not a smile in sight. We even wondered if we hadn't accidentally stumbled into a historical reenactment of sadness. As for the food, it was what I would call “pseudo-refined.” The salmon appetizer was decent… if you ignore the taste. The cod dish? Not bad, but accompanied by an endive so bitter it seemed like a metaphor for the entire experience. Special mention goes to the €8 cheese supplement: three pieces announced with military-like dryness. We were this close to signing a contract before refusing. The dessert, meanwhile, seemed straight out of a dream… but more of a sugary nightmare kind. Too sweet, poorly balanced, we gave up halfway through (as did our desire to return). And the service to the very end: no questions, no “Did you enjoy it?”, no “Have a good evening.” We paid €140 in a silence worthy of an art-house film… without a soundtrack. In conclusion: an experience almost fascinating in its total lack of warmth and self-reflection. At this point, it’s no longer an accident, it’s a concept. We won’t be back—but thank you for this moment… of utter incomprehension.

24/10/2025: I am dismayed by the telephone reception I received following my request for an explanation. The pro forma invoice contains errors regarding the number of people and the arrival and departure dates, even though everything had been specified in the reservation email. When you have to pay a substantial deposit, the least you can do is get an answer without being hung up on!!!
