16/03/2026: CUSTOMER SERVICE This is clearly the hotel's weak point. Upon arrival, the welcome is cordial but rushed: you're given your room key, asked if you've booked the spa, and then left to find your own way around the hotel. More generally, the welcome lacks warmth. You regularly get the impression of being a bother, with barely audible greetings rarely accompanied by a smile. In the restaurant, the staff remains polite but seems inexperienced. Breakfast also illustrates a rather inconsistent service: some guests are offered eggs, others aren't, depending on who's serving. The most problematic point, however, concerns room management. On Sunday, we left the hotel around 9:30/10:00 a.m. for a hike and returned around 2:00 p.m. The room hadn't been cleaned. When we pointed this out, we were simply told that "rooms are cleaned in the afternoon." A little later, the staff tried to clean the room while we were still in it, which we refused. That's when the receptionist came to see us and criticized the situation, saying, "You ask for your room to be cleaned and then you refuse." After we calmly explained that we wanted to rest and that it was out of the question for the room to be cleaned at the same time, the person condescendingly informed us that "the teams finish at 5:00 PM"—in other words, either you leave before then or too bad for your room. Not wanting to make a scene on our last night, and having planned to leave anyway, we went out between 3:00 PM and 5:30 PM. As we were leaving, we passed the housekeeping staff "on a cigarette break," but when we finally returned around 5:30 PM, the room still hadn't been cleaned. Faced with this situation and the way it was handled, we decided to shorten our stay. The manager then came to meet with us. Her initial explanation was that the night we ultimately didn't want would still be charged. She even had the nerve to tell us, "You understand, a €220 room can't just be canceled like that." Clearly, at that price, cancellation is a problem... but not the quality of customer service, which nevertheless made it necessary. After some discussion, she finally agreed not to charge for that night, but no goodwill gesture or compensation was offered, considering the situation and this decidedly contemptuous customer service. THE ROOM The so-called Deluxe room is generally quite standard. The amenities are there and the bedding is good, which is a plus. However, some details raise questions for a 4-star establishment: cobwebs on the light fixtures, a stained shower curtain, and an overall aging condition. The bathroom is also impractical, with little storage and no space provided for drying towels. INFRASTRUCTURE The hotel has a restaurant, as previously mentioned: Note that I ordered meat (lamb ballotine) which I couldn't finish due to the numerous sinews inside. The hotel has private parking. Regarding the spa, the experience is unfortunately very disappointing. The reception area is cramped, squeezed between the restrooms and changing rooms. The spa itself is very small (limited to 8 people). The overall impression is one of dated and neglected facilities: pronounced damp patches on the walls, very visible wear and tear on some equipment such as the water dispenser, a cold pool, a damaged liner, no access to hot water, and no shower equipped with soap. However, the only truly positive point deserves to be highlighted: the professionalism of Alexandra and Alina, whose smiles and the quality of their services significantly raise the bar: examples to follow. LOCATION The hotel's main advantage remains its location, close to the lake and the town center of Embrun, a pleasant and lively town.

15/03/2026: Superb establishment. Magnificent setting. Exceptional and professional staff. Spacious room. Beautiful mountain view. Enjoy the spa and Nordic bath. Don't hesitate to have dinner; the food is excellent.
