Everything was perfect: the welcome, the speed, the food.
The fries were amazing, real fries.
All the staff were very friendly.
Very reasonable prices, a great place to eat.
06/08/2026: We had lunch and dinner several times at this restaurant during our stay in Cauterets, and each time we enjoyed the food and the service. The prices were very reasonable considering the quality and care taken with the dishes.

08/07/2026: Excellent caterer! The portions are generous and the food is absolutely delicious. I often order the shrimp in spicy sauce with noodles or the caramel chicken, and I'm never disappointed.
The woman who runs the caterer is lovely, welcoming, and very kind. The prices are very reasonable, and the quality is always top-notch. A fantastic place that I highly recommend!
05/06/2026: First visit today and a wonderful discovery! The ginger chicken was delicious and the spring rolls were excellent. I will gladly return.

Two and a half hours for a main course and dessert, admittedly very good, but basic.
The waitresses were throwing ice cubes at each other and insulting one another instead of taking orders!
Even when we came to take our order, they forgot part of it...

Nice place. Good beer.
Nice decor. Well done.
But the customer service was terrible. No welcome whatsoever.
And when you call a waitress and say "excuse me," they talk down to you... "You didn't even say hello!"
They're polite, they apologize, but the bill isn't finished... and then they remind you bitterly when it's time to pay.
We were supposed to come as a group of 10 that evening. Disastrous. No sense of customer service.
In short... we went to another bar.

01/08/2026: A great restaurant for cheese lovers (the raclette with local cow's milk cheese was excellent and well-matched, and the classic roasted Camembert was equally delicious)! Unpretentious but with a very friendly welcome and service.
We had a lovely time.

The service was pleasant, friendly, efficient, and full of humor.

08/08/2026: Dropped in to check the pastries on display. Made 2 pictures to send to my family to motivate them get there. Suddenly a very unwelcoming person asked me stop taking pictures, cause i could be taking pictures for a competitor...! After that i decided to go somewhere else, a competitor thus...
Rather that worrying about someone taking pics, they should invest time in making the whole place more welcoming and improving their service to customers, actual and potential.
07/08/2026: Perfect welcome, delicious specialty breads and pretzel baguettes for making sandwiches early before a hike. Very accommodating with special orders. A big thank you, and we look forward to seeing you again!

02/03/2026: So, how can I put it?! This restaurant has absolutely no authenticity. The garbure (cabbage soup) was disgusting, tasted like vinegar, it was awful. I even had a stomach ache that same evening. And the "Puit d'Amour" (Well of Love) dessert? Honestly, it was just ice cream with cream on top for 11 euros. Seriously, avoid this restaurant; it has nothing authentic about it, not even the owner, the cook, or the waitress. Look elsewhere; there are real mountain restaurants in Cauterets.

24/07/2026: Having come for happy hour, we ordered a "giraffe" of beer to simplify things for our dear server. Imagine our surprise when it came time to pay and he charged us the standard price, when we could have paid less by ordering the equivalent in pints at the happy hour price! Despite our complaint about this lack of advice and professionalism, he remained stoic, offering only a "Thanks and cheers, guys!"—a false politeness that served as scant consolation.
I do not recommend this place.
06/07/2026: A very disappointing experience. I ordered a lemonade and they brought me a different drink than the one I ordered. When I pointed it out, instead of removing the wrong drink and bringing me the correct one, as any establishment would, they charged me for both. The mistake was the staff's, not mine, and yet I still had to pay for a drink I never ordered. Furthermore, the service was far from satisfactory and they took quite a while to attend to us. I don't think this is a proper way to treat customers, so I won't be returning.

Les sanitaires ne sont pas propres (même pas de savon).
Le personnel est agréable !
15/04/2024: Très bien. Plats de très bonne qualité (nous avons pris le porc noir, le navarin d agneau et le plat enfant) et personnel très accueillant.
Les commentaires désobligeants sont incompréhensibles.

22/09/2025: Very friendly welcome, simple but pleasant setting. A true restaurateur who loves his job, and it shows.
Simple but excellent meal, with well-prepared ingredients and beautiful presentation.
Simple but pleasant wine list.
Very reasonable bill.
All in all, a good place for a very pleasant meal, and a real treat.
