02/07/2026: Super friendly staff! Yesterday we wanted to eat and were desperately searching for a restaurant that was still serving despite the late hour. And then, the gentleman told us, "I've just finished chopping everything in the kitchen, but if you'd like, I can make you two pizzas to go!" I thought that was really nice. The pizzas are good, we live nearby, we'll definitely be back!! Thank you so much to the very friendly team

16/07/2026: Lovely small winery. Stayed near carcassonne and was a short 30min drive. Booked lunch and tour / tasting in advance. Lunch was lovely in a nice setting. Enjoyed the tour + 6 wines to taste. Great day out.

13/07/2026: We stopped for a drink on Saturday morning, July 12, 2026. The ground was covered in pigeon droppings that were clearly not from the day before; it smelled awful, and nobody seemed to mind. Meanwhile, the floor at the bar next door was spotless.
It's a real shame to treat tourists like this. What a terrible image for this lovely village.

04/06/2026: Seafood pizza was tasteless. The oriental pizza was okay.
07/05/2026: Ordered a Southwest-style pizza, but the merguez sausages were missing. Ordered a Norwegian-style pizza with a cream base, but I received tomato sauce. The salmon was nowhere to be found, despite adding mushrooms for extra. I'm a caterer, and I'm not ashamed to admit it, but even the pastry wasn't worth it. I'm sorry, but I won't be back.
Furthermore, the payment terminal and the exterior of the kitchen had been touched, and hands hadn't been washed... A professional failing on my part.

05/07/2026: Nice place equipped with misters to cool the terrace... the only good point... the port of Somail is a superb location... it's a shame that the only ice cream shop there offers industrially produced ice cream of more than mediocre quality, which is completely unworthy of this fabulous spot on the banks of the Canal du Midi... especially at the price they charge, it deserves superior quality, even artisanal, ice cream... first and last time for me!

Walked there with an 80 year old with mobility issues, to find out you were in fact closed.

01/07/2026: We've been ordering pizzas since the new owner took over and we're very disappointed.
The Napoli pizza was very sparsely topped: a huge amount of tomato paste, only three olives, and six anchovies that seemed lost on the pizza. The result: no flavor, a bland pizza.
The four-cheese pizza wasn't any better: again, that unpleasant-tasting tomato paste, and we're still looking for the four cheeses because there were so few of them.
We already miss the old owners. We won't be back and we don't recommend this pizzeria.

28/08/2024: Un vulgaire attrape touriste au milieu de tous les autres, le service est très peu chaleureux, les boissons c'est un peu du vol (remplies de glaçons) et les pizzas sont vraiment médiocres : pâte ultra sèche et garniture industrielle. Nous avons bien fait de ne pas nous aventurer davantage dans la carte. Mais bon, nous avions faim et cela a fait l'affaire, ce n'était pas non plus hors de prix. De plus le cadre charmant sauve un peu l'endroit ceci dit.
24/08/2024: An absolute shocker.... we were really looking forward to our meal in what looked like a pleasant / atmospheric venue. Unfortunately the food and service were awful in equal measures. I had a set menu including their 'famous' gizzard salad, and I can only assume it is 'famous' for being so bad - a few bits of meat on a bed of tasteless, colourless lettuce leaves followed by a completely bland cassoulet. The poor waitresses did their best but just could not cope. My advice, go for a smaller restaurant where you will be treated as people rather than just numbers.

06/09/2024: Excellent address, an Italian boss from Rome who wants to change his life, settles in the region and makes a contemporary building out of old stones where the cozy atmosphere immediately puts us perfectly at ease. The cuisine is unadorned but fresh and delicious. We take the house corbière, a mixed Carignan Grenache, excellent value for money, elegant, fine texture, like a pretty Spanish priorat served at perfect temperature (16 degrees), I buy it at the counter
01/09/2024: Charming decor, both inside and out. A truly high-quality culinary experience, and a very varied choice of dishes.
The welcome was also very pleasant.
The final price is certainly high, and it seemed to me to be in line with this truly atypical place.
Pay attention perhaps to the service and to one of the people who may possibly seem in a hurry to take your order….
Restaurant to try without hesitation!
