12/12/2025: We had lunch with the work team at a large table, and we ate very well, enjoying both the fish, the meat, and the sides! And everyone was served at the same time, which doesn't always happen at large tables! The menu is small, which suggests the ingredients are fresh, and that's confirmed on the plate! The atmosphere is great, professional yet relaxed! Thank you for this experience; I'll gladly come back!

13/02/2026: I sat down at a table at the restaurant Le Canclaux, which I highly recommend. The welcome was warm, the food was magnificent, very well served, and the price was quite reasonable.

21/01/2026: If you're visiting Nantes and can only go to a few restaurants, this should be one of them. If you like steak, their onglet de boeuf is the best steak we've ever had, anywhere, of any kind -- I don't care what cut, or if it's slathered in foir gras -- their onglet is our favorite steak, and we don't know why. Everything we've ever tried there (and we go there often and like variety) has exceeded our expectations. Reservations are a must, because we're not the only ones who've discovered this place. Some places excel in either their starters or their desert, but here it's hard to have only one or the other. Their menu, which changes regularly, typically has 3-5 starters, 5-7 mains, and 3-5 deserts, so always a good variety, and always something new. We strongly recommend.

28/01/2026: Third visit – this time with the family, and the third time we were very well served! The three-course dinner menu was only €21, with generous portions of both the starter (warm scallops with bacon, lobster bisque, smoked salmon rillettes...) and dessert (amazing profiteroles, tarte tatin, and floating island!!). The staff was fantastic as always, and our children (9 to 13) received a very warm welcome.

07/02/2026: A lively and welcoming place I love to spend time after work. Concerts, improv theater, meetups… there’s always something going on, in a friendly and authentic atmosphere. The owner is incredibly attentive, both to the artists and the customers, and the food is simple, delicious, made with high-quality, local ingredients. An easy place to meet up, chat, and share good times. And how lucky I am to have a place like this so close to my office! A gem of a spot that I highly recommend.

15/02/2026: Hello everyone. This Valentine's Day cruise is fabulous. My wife and I usually dress up in our best outfits for this kind of entertainment. My wife is a little sexier than usual, and I think that's obvious to us. Yet yesterday, February 14th, proved us completely wrong, as the women's outfits were particularly dreadful. Jeans and sneakers were still the order of the day, and high heels didn't impress us either. Our outfits for grocery shopping on Saturday remained unchanged. It seems women have lost their appeal, unfortunately! Without wanting to impose anything, a dress code could still be suggested in such circumstances. Just a thought. Have a good evening!

05/02/2026: Fourth dinner cruise on the Erdre River. What a disappointment compared to the previous ones: a cold atmosphere, a lack of explanations throughout the journey, poor acoustics, and mediocre musical entertainment, even though there used to be a dance floor. As for the food, I'm still looking for the virgin sauce that was supposed to accompany my sea bass fillet. The pastries were dry and tasteless. Very disappointed for this wedding anniversary.

23/03/2026: La Cigale restaurant in Nantes is simply exceptional. It's a place steeped in history, impressing you from the moment you enter with the beauty and richness of its interior decor. Every detail is magnificent; you truly feel transported back in time while enjoying an elegant and welcoming atmosphere. The service is also impeccable: the servers are simply pleasant, attentive, and professional. I was taken care of immediately, without any waiting, which is always very much appreciated. As for the food, everything is delicious, without exception. The quality is undeniable; the dishes are flavorful and beautifully presented. I went for lunch, and the experience convinced me so much that I returned that same evening, this time with company. And once again, everything was perfect. A must-visit in Nantes that I recommend without hesitation.

11/03/2026: I've known the chef for a long time and know my favorite dishes. I always get four free gyoza because he's become a friend. Everything is made on-site with fresh ingredients, often right in front of you. For me, there's nothing to complain about: excellent, flavorful cuisine from a master of his native cooking. Go without hesitation!

01/03/2026: We hadn't been back for 10 or 15 years... Le Lyonnais Nantais. The food is always excellent! Great atmosphere, you can chat with your table neighbors. The service was a little slow, but there were only two of them for the whole room 🥲.

25/02/2026: Chance led us to your door… and we weren't disappointed! A warm welcome, generous and delicious portions! A retro and authentic atmosphere. The only downside: you have to know when to refuse dessert if you want to keep all the buttons on your trousers! 🤣

23/02/2026: Recently renovated with impeccable taste, we had a fabulous stay at this hotel. A warm and professional welcome at any time of day, excellent food in the restaurant, and a delightful breakfast after a good workout: the hotel also boasts a very good, modern, and highly functional fitness room – a real bonus! 👍🙂 We'll be back soon and will definitely keep this address in mind for our future stays in Nantes.
