21/08/2026: While on holiday in Cherbourg, we were won over by the Gascon and mountain galettes – absolutely delicious! But a word of advice: reserve them in advance, otherwise… you're unlikely to get to enjoy them.

04/10/2026: Last attempt at Domino's, and definitely the last. The pizza was bland, barely topped, and completely tasteless. You look closely at the ingredients, but they seem to have been measured down to the gram. How can they sell such a bland and stingy pizza? Frankly, at that price, it's a rip-off. A tasteless pizza—it's hard to imagine anything worse.

27/07/2026: Really enjoyed this evening meal. It was a simple fully loaded burger and chips and vegetarian pizza. Can't fault it at all . Really reasonably priced. Large burger fully loaded and chips 16 euro. Large vegetarian pizza 14 euro. Highly recommended.👍

03/09/2026: Incredibly excellent, authentic cuisine prepared with great love every time. I think I've eaten there more than 50 times over the years. It had been six years since I'd been back to France, six years trying to find a restaurant that lived up to Sam's. Finally, I had the great pleasure of returning, and the same magnificent quality is still there. Sam is an incredible person and host. The menu is smaller now, but the selection is carefully curated, and every dish we tried was incredible. I can only recommend that anyone passionate about Asian cuisine venture there. Sam and his family awakened a great love for food in me almost 15 years ago, when I was just a little boy. This restaurant will remain my best Asian culinary experience, and it's not for lack of trying well over a hundred Asian restaurants in Europe. I could go on for an hour about the quality of this restaurant and the kindness of Sam, who has always welcomed me with the greatest of warmth. Whether you're from the area, just visiting, or coming from afar, I highly recommend making a detour to eat here. To Sam, if you see this message, thank you for the superb meal a few days ago. And without exaggeration, your meals and your hospitality have always held a special place in my heart and are a big part of my great passion for cooking. Whenever I'm back in France, a visit is a must.

03/08/2026: A really nice restaurant with excellent food. A great atmosphere; you shouldn't be rushed to fully appreciate the meal and the ambiance. I highly recommend it.

11/09/2026: One thing I was not happy about was when a member of staff came over and took away the chair next to me, which I had placed my bags on. At first, I assumed the staff member needed the chair because another customer wanted to sit down. However, I then noticed that the chair was simply given to another customer to put their bag on. I found this quite disappointing, as I felt the staff member showed a lack of consideration and common courtesy towards me as a customer. It would have been more appropriate to ask me first or explain why the chair was needed, rather than simply taking it away while my belongings were still on it.

29/09/2026: What a disappointment for a restaurant listed on La Liste! Dishes were too salty, some items were missing from the menu, the side dishes were identical for both meat options, and the service was extremely slow (the glasses of wine arrived at the very end of the meal). I regret it for the price.

05/10/2026: Very disappointed with our experience at Café du Théâtre. We had booked a table for 10 people at 8 pm for my leaving party. Barely 20 minutes after arriving, we started to feel rushed and pressured to leave, with comments about the kitchen closing soon and the staff being in a hurry. After asking why, we were told that the team wanted to close early for a colleague's birthday. We understand that a birthday is important, but in this case, it would have been normal to let us know beforehand. We had come to have a good time and ended up feeling like we were bothering them and were simply being asked to leave the restaurant, even though we had a reservation. On top of that, there was a €2 room service charge per person, even though I had been told on the phone that there would be no extra charge, as well as the issue of the after-dinner drinks, which were initially advertised as complimentary but were ultimately charged. An evening that was supposed to be a lovely parting moment, but which we will unfortunately remember with great sadness.

13/08/2026: I wanted to treat myself to a nice meal out and chose Sequin. And I'm so glad I did! The service was excellent, the food truly delicious, and the dessert was both elegant and original. The atmosphere was cozy and pleasant. What a shame I live so far away!

31/07/2026: The best restaurant in Cherbourg! Unbeatable value for money: I've always eaten very well there, at a more than reasonable price for the quality of the food! Whether it's the bistro lunch menu or the more elaborate dinner menu, it's always a delight! Never disappointed, I recommend this place without hesitation!

Its biggest strength is the speed of service: perfect when you're short on time. Furthermore, the prices are very reasonable and competitive for the city center. A great everyday spot for a quick, tasty, and affordable meal!
