10/02/2026: Many items on the menu were unavailable. We ordered six shrimp as a starter and a John Dory fillet with a very mediocre gratin and a not-so-good coffee, and the bill came to €98 for two… Far too expensive for what we ate!

L’Évasion lives up to its name perfectly: from the moment you arrive, you know you're in for a truly delightful experience, both delicious and convivial.
The key difference here is undoubtedly the service. The servers are exceptional: smiling, attentive, professional, but above all, deeply committed. They don't just serve; they truly enhance the experience. With helpful advice, natural conversation, and a discreet yet effective presence, you feel valued from beginning to end, which is becoming increasingly rare these days.
As for the food, it's flawless. The dishes are as beautiful as they are delicious, generous without being heavy, featuring fresh, perfectly presented ingredients. Each plate is expertly crafted, with that little something extra that makes it a truly enjoyable experience.
The setting completes the experience, with the pleasant atmosphere of Port Fréjus instantly creating a feeling of relaxation and vacation. In short, L’Évasion succeeds where many others fail: quality cuisine, but above all, a truly memorable experience brought to life by a passionate team.

03/01/2026: Reservation made through The Fork but the restaurant is closed, despite reviews for December 31st, strange, luckily we were able to find another restaurant
01/01/2026: We made a reservation a week in advance using the 50% discount on the à la carte menu advertised on TheFork.
The restaurant only informed us that morning of a set menu for December 31st, with no à la carte options available.
This information was not provided at the time of booking.
We therefore cancelled.

14/02/2026: Every year we choose a local restaurant to celebrate the end of the year with our Orthopedics department at Bonnet Hospital, and this year our choice was very disappointing.
We had to bring our own speakers for music because their sound system was supposedly broken.
The dinner buffet was extremely disappointing and very meager for about thirty people, especially considering the price of €30 per person.
This review is being written two months later because we haven't received a response from the owner to our email expressing our disappointment.
The only positive aspect of this place is the location and its large, well-heated dining room.

08/11/2025: Shameful! I made a reservation for my birthday, it was confirmed, so I arrived on time and on the day I booked, only to find the restaurant closed. There were no signs, no posts on their Instagram mentioning the closure, especially since the reservation had been confirmed by email and text message.
Thanks for ruining my birthday!
27/10/2025: I had reserved a table via the website. Reservation confirmed. We showed up on Sunday, October 26th, and what a surprise. It said "closed." I don't know if it's permanently closed.
We had to find another solution.
And to top it all off, this morning I received a message asking how my meal went. It's better to laugh about it...

01/10/2024: A warm welcome, with a pleasant waiter who gives very good advice and who listens to his customers. Quite refined cuisine with beautiful dressings. The dishes are plentiful, very good value for money and very good respect for the products. We came in the evening for dinner so the terrace was quiet with soft music playing in the background to accompany the meal, a wonderful evening that we will remember with the little limoncello at the end of the evening.

29/10/2024: The mussels lacked freshness, probably because they had been cooked for lunch service and reheated for evening service. This affects texture, taste and freshness. There were only 3 tables on the terrace. Was the "chef" so busy with his tables that he didn't take 5 minutes for a la minute cooking or was he more concerned with "re-baking" his molds from the previous service.
At €20.00 per portion, it’s UNALLOWABLE!
Spoiled dinner. This would also merit a small health inspection to check the conservation of food between 2 services.
Obviously, we will never return to this pseudo restaurant.

31/10/2024: Authentic Italian restaurant where mama eats in the dining room with us. A boss who is an angel, an attentive boss, a very kind waitress, a chef who cooks well and a relaxed family atmosphere.

14/08/2024: Le restaurant est très bien situé et chaleureux. Le gros point négatif est que nous avons réservé pour 21h et arrivé sur place on nous refuse le menu proposé car ils ne servent plus de menu à cette heure-ci, ce qui est indiqué nul part… les plats sont cher et manque de goût. De plus, le personnel n’est pas très accueillant, nous avons été déçu.

07/08/2024: Je suis vraiment déçu par ce restaurant. Le service laisse énormément à désirer : les serveurs sont lents, peu aimables et semblent constamment désorganisés. En plus de cela, les prix sont exorbitants pour la qualité de la nourriture servie. Les plats sont fades et manquent clairement de fraîcheur. Pour ce tarif, je m'attendais à bien mieux. Je ne recommande absolument pas cet établissement.

J’ai choisi la planche de la mer, 2 morceaux de tataki, 2 sashimi de saumon et un mini bol de ceviche de thon. Au milieu de l’énorme planche se balade une demi laitue, 3 câpres, 1 brocoli… l’assiette est très joliment présentée mais au final il n’y a pas grand chose à manger, et tout ça pour la modique somme de 23€ !
Le seul point positif c’est le plat du menu enfant qui reste bien servi mais 13€ sans la boisson juste avec une glace en dessert dont on a très peu de choix.. ça reste très cher !
Le service non plus ne justifie pas ce tarif, serveuses très jeunes et en manque d’expérience…
Dommage !
