Nous avons été très bien accueillis par le personnel malgré notre réservation de dernière minute. le service était rapide et efficace. Les plat étaient bien préparés et les portions généreuses. La terrasse offre un cadre très agréable avec vue sur le lac. Je recommande

08/03/2024: I will not apply the hygienic standards for German restaurants here. That would be unfair, because then you would have to apply French culinary standards to German restaurants (schnitzel au four!). We ate very well here and were served correctly and quickly, at a more than fair price. You can't get a meal like this anymore in Germany at that price (according to my experience, mind you!), €42 for two rich and really good menus with an aperitif, 1/2L of table wine and a café. Maybe we'll come back here on the way back - or later. It would be worthwhile.

02/07/2024: As two cycling couples we stayed for five nights in the rooms above Café Velo. Our beds were super comfy and made up with sheets and a throw (instead of a duvet) just as requested. Both rooms were clean, spacious and well-equipped (with the added advantage of a shared kitchen). The bathrooms also worked well – great shower, and all the sockets and hooks in the right places! We ate in the café on our first evening – lovely simple small plates with glasses of fabulous wine. We also had delicious breakfasts sitting outside overlooking the river. Truly wonderful banana loaf! The locking garage was a real bonus for our bikes. Anna and Charles couldn’t have been more welcoming – and we look forward to a return visit!

10/06/2024: Stopped for a late lunch and a drink. Service and food was very good. Location facing the river and bridge made the cafe very accessible. Staff spoke good English.

14/09/2024: Passing by motorbike with several people, at the end of the morning the bar is full, we found a place, we were well received, friendly and efficient. For meals I don't know, we didn't eat.

Finally, only one tomato has arrived hidden under the sauce and restaurant regulars know why everything reheated in the microwave is boiling. Tomato waterlogged and tasteless, large flesh of average quality and home fries just cooked and floury. While you are eating a waiter walks past you and you will have the opportunity to admire the top of his buttocks. I've barely finished this dish when it's taken away from me, I feel like I'm under surveillance. We're going for a crème brûlée, you won't be disappointed either since we burned it live with a blowtorch between the fridge and a table, between the server and the fridge trying to pass people entering and leaving the toilets, class . Can I give you my opinion on the crème brûlée? Well, same technique we put a lot of sugar to hide the mediocrity. I paid and the smile you tell me? In your opinion? If you work in commerce and are not welcoming, you are in the wrong profession.

21/09/2024: Spacious and clean room with good bedding. On the “garden” side and upstairs, I was quiet. The welcome is pleasant. The breakfast buffet offers a variety of sweet, savory, dairy and cereal products.... Only the location of the hotel is a negative point but if you have a car, it is not a problem.

20/08/2024: Go on your way… I requested on the “FLAVORS Instant Benefit” website for a hotel night on August 15 in Nervers. The application offered me “CAMPANILE NEVERS NORD – Varennes Vauzelles”. Why not, I booked “Standard room with gourmet half board” for 2. I had a cold welcome, a clean but very dilapidated room and instead of a gourmet meal a plate of sausage for 2 (no other choice) with a reheated dish and for dessert whipped cream with fruit coulis red on top and a burning tartlet in the corner of the plate. Breakfast was classic and ordinary. And all this with deplorable service.

23/08/2024: Je suis extrêmement déçu de mon expérience dans ce restaurant. Dès notre arrivée, l'accueil a été inexistant. Nous avons dû attendre 1 heure avant l’arrivée des repas. Quand enfin un membre du personnel est venu nous voir, pour donner les repas son attitude était désagréable. Nous avions une question, que nous avons posé au chef de l’entreprise qui nous a répondu comme si nous le dérangions. Le service a continué sur la même lancée : le chef d’entreprise se permettaient de prendre des libertés inappropriées avec les clients, avec un manque flagrant de respect. En plus de cela, la nourriture était vraiment de mauvaise qualité, pour le prix, loin de ce à quoi nous nous attendions. Les plats étaient clairement bien en dessous de nos espérances. Le pire est arrivé quand ma sœur s'est retrouvée coincée dans les toilettes. Au lieu de nous aider ou de réagir avec professionnalisme, le chef d’entreprise s'est moqué de la situation, ce qui est inacceptable. Cela a gâché notre soirée et laissé un très mauvais souvenir. Je déconseille fortement ce restaurant à quiconque cherche à passer un bon moment en famille ou autres. Une telle expérience ne mérite pas qu'on y mette les pieds. Nous n’y mettrons plus jamais les pieds.

24/08/2024: Crêpes sucrées offertes par geste commercial, qui plus est excellentes! Je recommande vivement cet endroit pour le cadre typique et le patron fort sympathique.
