14/06/2024: Super beautiful and fun campsite where you can choose your own spot and there are plenty of beautiful spots. Good and very clean sanitary facilities. Bread roll service every morning, every day except Wednesday the restaurant is open where Petra provides delicious dishes and Berry and Ria provide the service. In short, this is a TOP campsite for cyclists, walkers, people who love peace and quiet and many others. The Nivernais canal flows past the campsite. The nearest town is Corbigny, 4 km from the campsite.

10/05/2024: Small quiet campsite with good clean sanitary facilities and friendly Dutch owners. Cozy terrace for a beer or a snack. This is what relaxing camping in France should be like. Beautiful location in a park-like field on the canal

29/08/2024: Establishment mistakenly serving alcohol to minors aged 14 (Mojito). After verifying the error, refusal to refund or exchange with a non-alcoholic drink, even leaving alcoholic cocktails available to minors!! Unimaginable...

29/08/2024: Très bel endroit y étions pour la 1ère fois lors d un dîner en famille, dommage qu il y avait une représentation de cours de salsa sur la place, beaucoup trop bruyant, impossible de se parler et de se comprendre Ce fut une très mauvaise expérience pour une 1ère fois , dommage

No card, no need to think and go quickly because he feels that I am not going to be profitable. As soon as you order stuffed tomatoes with fries and salad, they have already arrived. Finally, only one tomato has arrived hidden under the sauce and restaurant regulars know why everything reheated in the microwave is boiling. Tomato waterlogged and tasteless, large flesh of average quality and home fries just cooked and floury. While you are eating a waiter walks past you and you will have the opportunity to admire the top of his buttocks. I've barely finished this dish when it's taken away from me, I feel like I'm under surveillance. We're going for a crème brûlée, you won't be disappointed either since we burned it live with a blowtorch between the fridge and a table, between the server and the fridge trying to pass people entering and leaving the toilets, class . Can I give you my opinion on the crème brûlée? Well, same technique we put a lot of sugar to hide the mediocrity. I paid and the smile you tell me? In your opinion? It’s not marked on the map why do it, no joke. In summary, we have the impression of being a rate of profitability rather than a customer and that is a shame. If you work in commerce and are not welcoming, you are in the wrong profession.

28/08/2024: Well eaten and the donello was super nice

19/08/2024: During our visit, all kinds of unpleasant and grotesque events took place. After a long wait for our aperitifs (arriving after the main course) one of them was spilled, which is not so much of a problem if the beer had been replaced without having to ask for it. We will also notice that the pasta water was still present in the deep plate, which seems curious to me. When the table was cleared all sorts of things fell continuously: fork in our hair, knife, glass of water on our laps etc. It would have been desirable to at least apologize since we endured this more than mediocre service without flinching. Hoping it was exceptional...

31/08/2024: Small restaurant after returning from vacation. We ate very well there, the price was more than fair, I recommend it to anyone passing through.

02/07/2024: As two cycling couples we stayed for five nights in the rooms above Café Velo. Our beds were super comfy and made up with sheets and a throw (instead of a duvet) just as requested. Both rooms were clean, spacious and well-equipped (with the added advantage of a shared kitchen). The bathrooms also worked well – great shower, and all the sockets and hooks in the right places! We ate in the café on our first evening – lovely simple small plates with glasses of fabulous wine. We also had delicious breakfasts sitting outside overlooking the river. Truly wonderful banana loaf! The locking garage was a real bonus for our bikes. Anna and Charles couldn’t have been more welcoming – and we look forward to a return visit!

10/06/2024: Stopped for a late lunch and a drink. Service and food was very good. Location facing the river and bridge made the cafe very accessible. Staff spoke good English.

24/08/2024: Crêpes sucrées offertes par geste commercial, qui plus est excellentes! Je recommande vivement cet endroit pour le cadre typique et le patron fort sympathique.

03/06/2024: Découvert un soir pluvieux par hasard. La patronne nous a gentiment accueillis. Très bonne cuisine traditionnelle, excellente viande. Desserts faits maison.

08/03/2024: I will not apply the hygienic standards for German restaurants here. That would be unfair, because then you would have to apply French culinary standards to German restaurants (schnitzel au four!). We ate very well here and were served correctly and quickly, at a more than fair price. You can't get a meal like this anymore in Germany at that price (according to my experience, mind you!), €42 for two rich and really good menus with an aperitif, 1/2L of table wine and a café. Maybe we'll come back here on the way back - or later. It would be worthwhile.

28/08/2024: An ideal place when you are on vacation to be able to eat in peace, very pleasant and fast, efficient service. A warm environment, the meal is excellent in a good atmosphere, I recommend this place 🤗

20/08/2024: Good restaurant with specialties, Turkish (not masked despite what some comments say), Greek, Mediterranean. Impeccable service.

18/09/2023: Passing through on a Sunday evening we were able to eat there without reservation. On the other hand, it closes definitively in October 2023.

29/08/2023: We ate at the tavern at the port of Chaumot during our cycling trip along the Nivernais canal. We were delighted!! Delicious, whether it's the children's or adults' menu. Extra service, kindness, smile. I recommend with my eyes closed!!

05/09/2024: Place to avoid! I stipulate that it is a place and not a restaurant, it cannot be named otherwise. Burnt and insignificant pizza. Pasta from the day before and not from today to accompany my escalope. Red Sancerre wine frozen and therefore difficult to check if it was Sancerre having not seen the bottle. Finally, tarte tatin has only the name. Uncooked dough, in short industrial apple jam that doesn't even have the merit of being good. That's all to say that they won't see me anymore.

31/08/2024: We were placed in a corner of the poorly lit room with loud music. Our desire to change tables was not taken into account even though there were free tables. No customer concern and what's more the pizzas are not tasty.

06/08/2024: Brasserie with an authentic setting, excellent cuisine and very friendly managers! Worth the detour!

07/06/2024: Arrivé les premiers en salle, servis les derniers. Le serveur, peut-être patron, du moins s'en donne l'air, n'a aucun esprit commercial, un insolent souriant. Le repas servi tardivement reste acceptable. L'individu semble manquer totalement de discipline intellectuelle. Je ne recommande pas.

10/09/2024: So how can I say.... Friendly welcome, it wasn't bad, the dough was delicious but frankly the Norwegian don't forget to put the magnifying glass because we're still looking for the salmon! Ditto for the regina... where are the mushrooms? I looked above, below, didn't see it... So if you don't have the ingredients needed for a real pizza, say so! This will avoid dissatisfying customers! In short, we won't come back
