16/02/2026: The staff were friendly, but the brunch offered on the third Sunday of the month was quite basic in terms of food. There weren't enough utensils to serve ourselves, so we had to use our fingers.... Overall, I was a bit disappointed, especially the small portions of dessert. I wasn't informed on the day I made my reservation that it would be brunch... which is a shame, as I had better memories of this restaurant.

01/02/2026: We booked the family room late at night after our flight was cancelled. The hotel staff were incredibly helpful getting us a taxi and welcoming us. Dinner on arrival was lovely even though it was 10pm the staff & kitchen were accommodating and friendly. A beautiful setting. The room was really spacious with 2 bedrooms and a lounge area. Gorgeous views. If you want corporate standard this hotel is not for you. If you want friendly, helpful, comfortable, traditional and quiet this is for you. A haven after a long travel day.

11/07/2026: Very, very slow Saturday afternoon, 15-minute wait because the waitress had a larger order (7 meals) which she asked the gentleman several times if that was it or what he wanted, to the point of asking what kind of meal with ciabatta 🫪 I told her everything, plus the size, and she asked me what it was 🤦🏼‍♀️ You need to learn about your products, it would surely be faster.

26/06/2026: The food was decent, but the service left much to be desired. They brought our dishes without first serving us our drinks, and without even asking what we'd like to drink. Furthermore, the waitress was very impatient with completely normal requests, like a baby food dish and a high chair, despite the restaurant being practically empty. It was an experience that ruined an otherwise enjoyable meal.

26/06/2026: An excellent restaurant. A top-notch chef. The zucchini blossom fritters were delicious, the meat superb, in short, every dish was impeccable. The welcome and service were pleasant and attentive. Highly recommended.

15/05/2026: A superb place where you can enjoy a hearty meal with impeccable taste. The atmosphere is warm and the service is very pleasant. I highly recommend it for those returning from a hike or after a rainy day; these galettes will definitely put a smile back on your face!

14/06/2026: A great time spent with friends on Saturday afternoon and evening at the outdoor café. Super fun, great atmosphere, very pleasant staff, the music quiz and the DJ were fantastic, the customers were very friendly and sociable – a truly enjoyable break. I highly recommend it. Affordable price.

30/05/2026: Good, hearty salads 👍; 😋 because we were greedy we had profiteroles... excellent 👌.

10/12/2025: Today, The naan sandwich was poorly made; the naan bread was too thin, too small, and torn, causing the filling to fall out. There was also a lack of attention to detail with the initial order. The price was far too high for their naan sandwich, which has shrunk considerably since the restaurant opened, which is unacceptable.

03/05/2026: It is with immense pleasure that we have been celebrating our anniversary at the château for the past few years. The setting is magnificent, the staff very helpful and friendly. The rooms are exactly to our liking. We also appreciate the meal, which is always exquisite and beautifully presented. Thank you again for the thoughtful touches. Kisses to the cats. From Mila in the sales department, who was available and very professional, to the exquisite cuisine, and Oussama for the outstanding, personalized service and his incredible generosity. 03/04/2026: The best tacos in Chambéry! You won't find better anywhere else, and I've had my fair share of tacos in Chambéry!! I order once a month, sometimes more, and we've never been disappointed. We ordered again tonight, and once again, we weren't disappointed. Super tacos and great fries. My 3-year-old daughter loves them every time 🤩 The meat is fresh, the tacos are incredible, and they even make XXL tacos, which very few places in Chambéry do 😌 So don't hesitate, family, go for it without hesitation 🤩❤️ Brian

20/06/2026: The food is exquisite, the service equally so; we come here often.

14/06/2026: We waited an hour and 25 minutes for fried rice and two curries. The organization was truly awful. The prices are high for such small portions, especially since we were served an inedible green chicken curry that smelled like fish. It seemed like the dish had gone bad. We had ordered two additional dishes, which we cancelled because the wait was far too long, and the woman was rather unpleasant and didn't offer any real apologies, even though my husband remained calm and polite as he told her we were ending the situation. We paid for our drinks and left. This is simply not a good restaurant.

25/06/2026: €11 = Tasteless and poorly filled tacos. The meat was defrosted and undercooked (mushy tenders that weren't crispy at all). The sour cream was lumpy with a bitter taste, and the sauce... nonexistent. I couldn't finish it; I was very hungry, but the taco gave me a stomach ache.

05/06/2026: The service is awful. They barely respond to greetings, as if they're trying to get rid of you. The kitchen is unhygienic, with a cook spitting and a server who wasn't even aware of who it was. Their tacos have no flavor.

27/07/2026: We enjoyed pizzas on the terrace next to the restaurant; a nice place. Good food, good value for money.

26/07/2026: The pizza was okay, but the mushrooms were tasteless and the price was high for the quality. (It was hard to digest.)

01/08/2026: I strongly advise against this place; the staff are very intrusive and unfriendly, and there is a long wait for a beer and a cocktail even if there are only 2 of you for 4 servers.

17/07/2026: Very good sorbets. The way Bistrot du Palais operates has become incomprehensible, as it keeps its old main entrance closed, forcing customers to take a long detour inside to reach tables facing Rue Favre. This company, which also manages Café de l'Horloge and O'Cardinal, seems to be focusing solely on a decent decor and location. Since the manager is almost never there, and avoids customers when she is, patrons only deal with servers who take no responsibility and, with a few exceptions, don't stay long.
