21/12/2025: We ate there after visiting the Christmas market and the cathedral. It was very good, homemade (ch'ti burger, fish and chips, chocolate fondant) and reasonably priced. The decor is lovely, and the owner was friendly.

26/04/2026: Excellent place! At Au Charivari, the welcome is fantastic: smiling, warm, with a touch of humor that immediately puts you at ease. The service is quick and efficient, perfectly tailored to our needs. The portions are generous, and the charcuterie is impeccable. We especially loved the melted Reblochon on the barbecue—an idea as original as it was delicious. We'll be back!

11/04/2026: In Amiens, the quality/price ratio is excellent. 👍 For those who remember it well, it brings back fond memories: the old "Le Valentin" sign. Nostalgia! 😉

20/04/2026: The service on the terrace was a little slow, but understandable, it was the flea market 😊 Lunch: a baked Camembert with walnuts, a real treat... fries, salads, garlic bread. Happy with my choice. I'll definitely be back in October.

15/08/2025: A very good experience; the mussels in cream sauce were excellent, and they served mojitos as an aperitif with their own special touch. Very welcoming staff 🙂

14/08/2025: Absolutely avoid this place... following our visit, my wife suffered food poisoning from a salad; as for me, my mackerel was served with new potatoes swimming in butter, with no lemon whatsoever to accompany the fish; and my café liégeois was completely melted under the pretext that they added real coffee (perhaps it would be wise to let it cool before adding it to the ice cream).

24/04/2026: Quiet room. Noisy front door. Impeccable cleaning. Pleasant housekeeping staff. Spacious and pleasant lobby. Bring your own bottled water; the tap water is disgusting: too chlorinated. The water in the bathtub is light gray. The bedding (uncomfortable mattress, bed linen too short so it constantly leaks)

17/03/2026: Nice hotel with lovely staff who all try to be helpful. As mentioned previously in reviews rooms are slightly dated & not designed well … with doors opening awkwardly restricting space… no bottle water in room & TV not a smart one… saying all that the room was comfortable for the one night we stayed .. breakfast was really good with plenty of choice .. we had free parking at the front of the hotel which limited… We had a lovely meal in the hotel restaurant ( review on restaurant) .. the hotel served a purpose breaking our journey on our way home .. we wouldn’t hesitate using it again as the price was excellent.

30/04/2026: I went in today between 12:30 and 1:00 PM. I placed a small order. The employee put the sandwich next to the register and told their colleague, "My order." In the end, the person in question left, leaving me standing there. I waited while customers filed past behind me. "You were very lucky the order was for a colleague, otherwise I would have stood you up." So, to summarize your way of doing things, one person takes the customer's order, a second person handles the payment if everything is going well, or, like me today, they take the order and then leave the customer standing there. It's been a long time since I've been back to your establishment, and now I understand better why things haven't changed.

22/04/2026: Good bread and open on Sundays, which is great.

01/05/2026: Unacceptable! I ordered a syrup with water, and they served me syrup with the dregs of a large bottle of Vittel (already opened). The Picardy-style crepe was very small and tasteless. A portion of fries cost €7. The decor was dreary and poorly lit.

24/02/2026: One evening, during the rush before a late-night concert, I ordered steak and fries and my wife had a ficelle picarde. The steak, advertised as flank steak, was a cheap, tough, and tasteless cut—undoubtedly from an old cow. Definitely not flank steak. And the fries were frozen, unacceptable in a proper restaurant. My wife's ficelle picarde was actually a simple ham and mushroom crepe, nothing like the real ficelle picarde recipe. At over €20 for the meal, it was terrible, I certainly won't be back!

14/04/2026: The kebabs are decent, sometimes even good (especially the kebab and maxi kebab sandwiches), but ask for them well-cooked, grilled, or otherwise—it all depends...it's a gamble. Most of the time, the bread is soaked in grease, and the meat is cooked to the kebab maker's liking. In short, it's worth the price...not great at all, too unpredictable. (8/10: not great, undercooked, or burnt...when they actually deliver the right order...) I won't be ordering again...a shame...sometimes they're really good.

14/04/2026: You arrive at 8:00 for a sandwich, there aren't any; you ask for a pizza, there aren't any; you ask for owls, there aren't any. In short!!

12/05/2026: A place to avoid! We made a reservation, arrived on the day, and the restaurant was packed, and they had forgotten our table! We had a reservation for 12:30 PM, but we arrived at 12:31 PM. The waiter was very unpleasant; instead of apologizing, he told us to wait outside, even though it was cold. They offered us a table on the terrace... which was also freezing! The only pleasant person was the pizza maker, who tried to find a solution. Unfortunately, he's not the owner! He can't manage the atmosphere of the place alone; he's responsible for welcoming guests. Luckily, he was there; he was the only person who gave us a smile. I strongly advise against going there.

12/05/2026: Bad experience, unpleasant young man, he should change professions, and the quality-price ratio was poor. I do not recommend at all.
