08/05/2026: What a warm welcome and what a wonderful discovery! For our daughter's birthday, we discovered this little gem of peace and joy at Katiolo. We opted for the tasting menu, and I wholeheartedly recommend it. There were six of us, and we thoroughly enjoyed this beautiful Ivorian cuisine (which I hadn't experienced before), simple yet incredibly flavorful, made with quality ingredients. Experience it for yourself! Furthermore, the warm welcome and impeccable service from Geneviève will enchant you, I'm sure of it. A must-try!

24/03/2026: The African Queen restaurant in Toulouse is a wonderful discovery for lovers of authentic African cuisine. I particularly enjoyed the braised chicken with plantains, which was perfectly seasoned and a generous portion. The colorful decor immediately creates a warm and exotic atmosphere. A big thank you to Mamadou, who was very welcoming and attentive throughout the meal. A friendly place where you feel right at home, with excellent value for money.

30/04/2026: Passing through Tours for a few hours on our way back from vacation, we were looking for a place to have lunch on a terrace with a children's menu. We received a warm welcome, the setting was very peaceful, the food delicious, and there was a lawn in front of the terrace where our children could play quietly while we enjoyed an aperitif. A very good place!

06/07/2026: I ate there with friends. We paid €99.00 for three couscous menus, including one vegetarian and one vegetarian couscous. We also received a small bowl of chickpeas to share between four people... I don't understand, chickpeas aren't expensive... and a small bowl to share between four with a little hot sauce... I feel ripped off. For dessert, each person got a small biscuit... three small biscuits in total, placed on a plate in the middle of the table. Expensive and ridiculous...

07/06/2026: Quite frankly, A fantastic experience. A superb meal, fragrant, fresh, delicious, and generous. The rosé wine is divine; give it a try. We were a party of 10 people of different ages, and everyone enjoyed the meal. The owner is incredibly friendly and creates a great atmosphere. The quality and quantity of the food were excellent. The price was very reasonable. They also accept holiday vouchers. The restaurant is clean, the table is beautifully set, and the restrooms are clean. The service was prompt and efficient. We highly recommend it. The mint tea was a delight. Thank you so much, and see you very soon! P.S.: Don't tell everyone... Otherwise, there won't be any more room...😁

11/05/2026: I had absolutely no knowledge of Ethiopian cuisine, and what a discovery! The welcome was fantastic, and the explanations of the dishes were excellent. The atmosphere was great, as were the background music.

30/05/2026: Delicious. Great for getting used to Ethiopian cuisine. We had a wonderful time in a very quiet place with a super friendly waitress who even offered us extra sides. The price is very reasonable (23 for a main course and dessert plus sides).

02/07/2026: We were the only ones in the restaurant, the cook was outstanding, the dishes were incredibly delicious, I'll definitely be back. Everyone enjoyed themselves, even grandpa who doesn't usually like spices; he loved the sea bream.

The decor, the ambiance, and the setting immerse you in the world of the Casbah and make you feel like you're somewhere else entirely. You immediately feel right at home. The welcome is incredibly warm, always with a smile. You can tell it's a true family business, passed down for three generations, and this is reflected in the attention given to the customers. As for the food, everything was delicious! The dishes are generous, flavorful, and prepared with great care. A wonderful discovery, full of authenticity and conviviality. We will definitely be back. I highly recommend it.
