14/05/2026: We were seated upstairs. The restaurant is a 2-minute walk from the République metro station in Paris. We ordered before arriving and it was ready 20 minutes later. Quite reasonable for an African restaurant, especially since we ordered two fish dishes out of our three orders. The meal was excellent and generous, at very affordable prices. As for the decor, the restaurant is a bit dated and could use a good renovation. I recommend it; it's a great place. Thanks to my friend for the recommendation.

19/07/2026: We had a lovely dinner at this restaurant that specializes in dishes from Cote d’Ivoire and Reunion Island. The Rougail saucisse was really special! The chicken and attieke were also great- loved the sauce. And of course the allocos were great. The people working at the restaurant were friendly and helpful. and the terrace on a quiet street was perfect during the sunset. will definitely be back!

27/07/2026: The gentlemen at the reception were very friendly and took the time to explain the contents of the crêpes, which was much appreciated. However, I was disappointed by the crêpes themselves. I found them rather ordinary and, in my opinion, a bit overrated compared to their reputation. The smoked chicken didn't seem to be cooked, but rather resembled supermarket smoked chicken that had simply been shredded. It's a shame, because homemade, well-prepared chicken would have greatly improved the crêpe. In the end, a mixed experience: a warm welcome, but the quality of the crêpes didn't convince me.

24/07/2026: Incredible and original cuisine, authentic and delicious Chinese street food. Very pleasant and friendly service. I recommend it to fans of Asian cuisine. It was truly a great place.

11/08/2026: An absolute disgrace — Discrimination, condescension, and disrespect I rarely leave negative reviews, but the behavior of the person at the reception desk that evening surpassed anything I've ever experienced. I had taken the precaution of informing them that I would be late and that I have a disability. Despite these precautions and the fact that the salsa class hadn't even started yet (my classmates were already inside to make it easier for me to arrive alone), I was categorically refused entry. Beyond the unjustified refusal, it's the bouncer/receptionist's attitude that is unacceptable: a man in a black suit and tie, displaying unprecedented coldness, condescension, and contempt. No sense of service, no empathy, no humanity. There are already very few places for people with disabilities... Being received this way in an establishment like Le Comptoir Général is simply unacceptable. Sir, dressed in black and wearing a tie, your attitude is disgusting.
