02/09/2026: I want to make that clear: the waiters can't do anything about it. My partner wanted to eat octopus, a dish listed on the sign on the sidewalk and on the menu. When the waiter came to take our order, he informed my partner that they were out of octopus (we arrived at the restaurant at 7:15 pm). So, my partner opted for snails as an appetizer, but they didn't have those either. He then ordered a John Dory fillet. The waiter came back to ask about the side dish, and my partner asked for rice and vegetables. SURPRISE! No vegetables. Before you sit down, check if the dishes you want are available. Frankly, a restaurant that doesn't offer vegetables these days is unacceptable, especially since the prices are exorbitant compared to other restaurants by the sea.

16/08/2026: I've known this place since 1983, first under the owners, who were from Marseille like me, and then under the previous owners, Patrick and his wife. I've always loved this place; I often came in the evenings for ice cream and cocktails. I decided to bring my friend Barbara, who wasn't feeling well, here on April 25, 2026, her birthday, to cheer her up. We received a very warm welcome. We ordered cocktails, and Amine, the very friendly owner, kindly offered us a limoncello. We came back in June, and I had a hamburger with homemade fries, which was delicious, plus a Colonel (a local beer). Everything was perfect. We went back later; there was a birthday party in addition to the match. The atmosphere was great. Amine, the owner, had a slice of cake brought to us by the waitress (his niece), who was kind and friendly. It's a relaxing place, always with music, and a lovely terrace near the seafront. The prices are very reasonable, and the food is very good. I'm sorry they no longer have the pizzas, which have been replaced by bruschetta and the mesclun salad with buffalo mozzarella, which was very refreshing. I love this place. P.S.: (Kudos for the very clean restrooms; that's not always the case.) Thanks, Amine, and see you soon.

06/08/2026: You travel alone with a child, order food, and when it arrives you get a message that you can't share a large portion with the child, you have to order something else, otherwise you ask to leave... in the 4.5 years I've been traveling with my daughter, no one has treated me so badly...

30/07/2026: The waiter was very kind, helpful, and responsive. He immediately offered a bowl of water for our dog. The prices are reasonable and the food was delicious (mussels and fries and Breton galette).

23/08/2026: They took excellent care of their customers, I highly recommend them, especially the lady with the gray hair. Incredibly kind. Affordable prices and very good food. Best sandwiches of our vacation.

18/08/2026: Having arrived from Paris after a 12-hour drive, I found a warm welcome and quality products at 6:30 am. An incredible lady, a very good start to my vacation. I highly recommend it.

11/07/2026: For several years now, I've had the pleasure of going to Mamma Mia for a meal, a drink, or a coffee. It's always fantastic, with a warm and friendly atmosphere—it's like a little local bistro. We even had the pleasure of having a farewell party there—it was amazing! Thank you for everything.

08/07/2026: The pizza was excellent! But unfortunately, the owners are very cold, never smile, and don't accept any feedback, even polite comments. It's a real shame; we get the impression they're always in a bad mood. The wife isn't friendly at all! Especially since they have a very pleasant place with a lovely terrace. It's a real shame for the atmosphere.

29/05/2026: A centrally located hotel, overall not bad. The rooms we booked were really small, and for two, it felt cramped. The lobby was also very narrow and unwelcoming. The restaurant where we dined every evening was good, but the menu was a bit monotonous. The staff, what can I say? Friendly, but not very efficient. Overall, not bad, but I've stayed better in other hotels here in Menton.

18/08/2026: It gets a bit hot in the restaurant during the summer, a few fans would be nice, but otherwise I've been coming for several years and it's always excellent.

17/08/2026: I called to make a reservation at 12:30 and initially they didn't answer, then they called me back and I booked a table for 4 at 9:15-9:30 pm. When we arrived at the restaurant at the appointed time, we found an incredible line to get in. We went in to ask, but it was packed with people standing even inside, all the way to the narrow kitchen and the tiny interior spaces. The very young waiters (who with all those people had a hard time carrying the dishes) sent us back to the "lady" (the owner). She wasn't at the cash register and didn't welcome people... She was a sort of "jack-of-all-trades" so you had to chase her to talk to her (and she didn't even deign to pay attention to you). It turns out she didn't even have a list of reservations and was letting people in without any criteria... Other people in line were shocked because perhaps some of us had previously booked, a couple greeted her ironically and left... At that point, after the owner had just finished cleaning two tables for 4, we thought she had finally prepared one for us, but no, she didn't. Other people came in and he smiled, welcoming them with a rag and glass in his hand... At that point, after pointing out the disorganization and that it wasn't the right way, he lashed out at us with all his pent-up nervousness, even calling us rude and that if we continued he wouldn't give us the table... At that point, we also said goodbye to the lady and left! Disorganized and a terrible experience, to be avoided...

04/08/2026: We came for dinner as a group of three, and the service definitely needs improvement. The first waitress greeted us and immediately seated us outside without asking our permission. Then she handed us the menus in a very dismissive manner, without even looking at us. Her colleague came to take our order without so much as a greeting; I had to repeat the greeting before saying what I wanted. It's a shame to be welcomed like this because the crepes were delicious, just not very generously filled. For the price, you could get larger and more substantial ones. We won't be back.

03/08/2026: I don't recommend it. The wait was truly insane for topped crepes. We'd been sitting for an hour, our order was taken after 30 minutes or more, our drinks arrived after another 15 minutes, and that's not even mentioning the food. It took Ulysses less time to get back to Ithaca. I don't recommend it!!!!!

14/08/2026: The tartares were delicious, the rigatoni could have used a bit more sauce but they were still good. The setting is superb, overlooking the sea. On the other hand, the desserts were to die for: the mille-feuille and the strawberry and mascarpone dish. I'll definitely go back to try the other dishes.

Regulars, very friendly service, it's perfect for me...

A huge thank you to the entire team for their kindness and hospitality, and especially to Christophe, who was so lovely to us and really helped make this moment even more enjoyable. 🥰 We had a wonderful time and we will definitely be back. 04/09/2026: Really enjoyed the food. Went back several times while we stayed in Menton. The location is perfect, right by the beach. The guys working there were brilliant, welcoming, funny and friendly. They took good care of us. The service was fast and the cocktails were tasty too! Highly recommend them!
