21/05/2026: This bistro in the heart of Nice is run by a couple – he's in the kitchen and she's in charge of service. It's a real meeting place, frequented by smiling regulars who appreciate the homemade cuisine made with fresh, seasonal ingredients. The menu, written on a chalkboard, seems to change regularly. Many know the place well and make sure to greet the chef at the stove while chatting with the owner. We opted for the full experience – starter, main course, and dessert. We truly tasted the love in every dish; each one was bursting with flavor while maintaining a traditional Niçoise character. The service was friendly and efficient. We wish we had discovered this bistro sooner – a must-try!

10/01/2026: We were a party of five for New Year’s Eve dinner and had a wonderful time. Lovely, attentive service, a relaxed atmosphere, and amazing food. We never felt rushed, which made the evening even more enjoyable. A perfect spot in the Old Town. Thank you!

29/12/2025: We had cod and pork tenderloin with pistachio croquettes. Both were excellent! The cod was succulent, and the sauce was very flavorful without overpowering the fish. The pork tenderloin was beautifully grilled and glazed. The fish was served with a wonderfully lemony polenta. Everything was very well prepared. The service was attentive and courteous. A truly delightful experience! The quoted price includes a bottle of excellent wine and a glass of very good Calvados.

21/07/2026: We'd been wanting to go for a while, but we always left it to the last minute and there were no tables left. This time we booked in advance, and we're so glad we did! The setting is really lovely, and above all, the food was excellent. We'll definitely be back!

12/08/2026: DONT VISIT THIS PLACE FOR INDIAN FOOD. The restaurant is not run by Indian owner & they dont know what Indian food is. In place of Dal fry, the very very basic Indian dish, they serve Cabbage...what ? Palak paneer was equally bad, shredded spinach leaves with some bad quality Paneer. when we tried to give a polite feedback the owner just brushed us away & walked away. No wonder the staff will have same attitude. They are purely surviving on tourist market & non Iindians who dont know what good real Indian food tastes like.

19/07/2026: A verdant setting for exquisite flavors. As customers for many years, we have always appreciated the restaurant thanks to its warm welcome, friendly atmosphere, and of course, the delicious and generous portions of fresh Italian cuisine. Building on this experience, we chose La Locanda to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary on July 12th with family and friends. It was extraordinary and unforgettable. Audrey, the owner, prepared a buffet for us in a private section of the garden. It was a feast for the eyes and the palate. The buffet was beautifully presented, very generous, and offered something for everyone: super crispy focaccia, refined Italian charcuterie, Vitello Tonnato (a delight!), delicious tuna and marlin, melon and ham, grilled vegetables, cheese... I'm sure I'm forgetting some! And to finish, a delicious fruit-based cake. Moreover, the value for money is unbeatable. This wonderful day delighted our guests and inspired others to do the same. Thank you again to Audrey and Paolo for their warm welcome, their organization, their professionalism, and also for their kindness and expertise. See you very soon.

31/07/2026: This was a great find. The owners are lovely and proved excellent food and service. It was so good we went back for a second night. I would recommend the seafood linguine but all of us enjoyed our meals on both occasions.

17/07/2026: Excellent seafood restaurant. We ordered a plate of langustines, snails and crab. The food was fresh and delicious. Special thanks for the two shots of a hazelnut liquor from an employee - it was awesome and tasty.

04/08/2026: We had a wonderful time; we lingered there for quite a while at lunchtime and it was very pleasant. The owners are very friendly, as are their regulars. The daily special (homemade paella) and their burger were excellent. The homemade desserts were equally delicious, and I highly recommend their gourmet coffee. In short, thank you again for a very enjoyable lunchtime, and thank you to their regular customer, Mr. Armand. We will gladly return as soon as possible.

03/05/2026: My first night ever in Nice I found this gem of a bar. I asked why so many are dressed in pirate outfits. Turns out it's their closing down party. Tragic. But happy to have had the chance to experience this last hurrah!

01/05/2026: Our third day in Nice and our third visit to this place. It's the perfect place to return to after a day of sightseeing. We highly recommend it.

17/06/2026: Had a fantastic conference all thanks to great hotel staff, the hotel was clean tidy and the hotel team were so accommodating to all our needs

03/06/2026: Overall, this hotel is very good and well located. The city center is less than 15 minutes away via the central Jardin Kennedy. It doesn't have its own parking and doesn't offer a negotiated rate with the Jean Bouin parking lot (around €20/day) directly across the street, which is a shame, as Ibis (Cannes, Lyon, etc.) often offer preferential rates. Both inside and out, the hotel is pleasant and modern. Little touches like the fruit-flavored drinks are a plus. The breakfast is very comprehensive, worthy of a 4-star hotel, always replenished, and finally, with more flexible hours until 11:00 AM. The view of Nice and the bay from the pool terrace is lovely. Unfortunately, there were a few hiccups, such as a meal tray left in the hallway at the foot of a room all day, no USB port in the room, no complimentary bottled water (only a water fountain near the elevator, which is inconvenient), and the air conditioning that made noise all night. In the morning, one of the two elevators is apparently reserved for cleaning, so expect a bottleneck. For a weekend getaway, it's very good. A little more effort and it would be perfect ;)
