22/10/2025: Easy enough to find and nice rooftop but not great service or food. Ordered a wine spritz but was not told I would need to pay €5.50 for a bottle of lemonade. Had I known this I would’ve ordered a different drink. Waited 45 minutes for our food (we were told delay of 20 minutes when our order was taken). Asked for a jug of tap water for the table when seated but never received it. Asked for ketchup with the food, received a bowl with 20+ mayonnaise sachets and two ketchup sachets after our food was half eaten. The vegetarian burger was very strange, it came as a patty with cheese and cold cooked vegetables inside it. I have never had cold cooked broccoli, courgette, peppers or carrot inside a burger and I wouldn’t wish to have it again. The chicken burger was good however it came with two lettuce leaves instead of a bowl of coleslaw. Overall not a great experience.

14/02/2026: A very good Indian restaurant at the port of Nice. Prices are rather low for the location. Very good butter chicken and tikka masala. Good rosé. Very friendly service.

04/01/2026: Great place to try a pizza. Aubergine and anchovy pizza was good - we got a take out - the pizza was tasty and filling. Prices are quite fair.

22/02/2026: We came as a group of seven for a surprise meal. The servers were perfect! A special mention for the pizzas. The crust was very thin and crispy.

20/02/2026: During my weekend in Nice, I ate at your restaurant two evenings; we were in a group. I was not at all satisfied. The appetizers were very average, and the main courses were mediocre: slices of pork with a watery ketchup sauce, unworthy of a restaurant; burnt stew; glasses of cold wine; and uninteresting desserts. We clearly understood that we had to eat quickly, as our plates were practically taken away before we had finished, and we were told repeatedly that another group was about to arrive. This is unacceptable behavior on your part. I have never experienced anything like this in a restaurant, and I understand that group meals are not of interest to you. I will try to avoid you during my next stay in Nice and will certainly spread the word!

08/02/2026: I've visited this restaurant several times and have never been disappointed, but this time I felt ripped off. Prices have gone up (never mind) but the cod dishes were tasteless (inedible) and the portions were small. In short, it's become expensive and not good at all. I won't be going back (what a shame).

23/03/2026: Absolutely delicious! The owner and the staff were incredibly friendly. The boiled fish and flavorful eggplant were both fantastic, with authentic flavors. Highly recommended!

21/03/2026: The taste was okay, but definitely not as good as in China. The downside is that you have to wait an hour for each dish, and the chef won't start preparing your order until other people have also ordered it.

10/02/2026: Pizza du Mont Borron has excellent pizzas. The ingredients are good and the pizzas are generously topped. The wait can sometimes be a little long, but it's worth it. I highly recommend it.

08/03/2026: 🌟 A Historic Gem in the Heart of Vieux Nice: A Must-Try with Kids If you visit Nice and want to try authentic, unpretentious "Nissarde" cuisine, you have to come to Lou Pilha Leva. I went with my two children, and it was one of the best experiences of the trip because of its simplicity and flavor. A Little History and Fun Facts: This place is an institution with decades of history. Its name in the Niçois dialect means something like "whoever catches it, takes it," which perfectly defines its street food philosophy from the very beginning. It's famous for maintaining the traditional recipes that fed the fishermen and workers of the old quarter for generations. Watching its ovens working at full capacity is like stepping back in time. What We Tried (and Why It's Typical): Socca: This is Nice's national dish. A chickpea flour flatbread cooked in large copper pans. Here, they serve it crispy on the outside and creamy on the inside. My children loved it! Pissaladière: It's not a pizza, even though it looks like one. It's a tart made with onions caramelized for hours, giving it an incredible sweetness, topped with a local black olive and anchovies. Vegetable beignets: Fried fritters (made with zucchini or eggplant) that are addictive. Very typical of Provençal markets. Pizza: For only €4, it's a lifesaver for any parent. Homemade dough and lots of cheese. Ideal logistics for families: The best thing about Lou Pilha Leva is that, despite its fame, it's extremely fast. It's a self-service system: you order at the counter, they give you your tray, and that's it. Even if you see a lot of people outside, don't worry: they have plenty of tables right outside, and they also have a restaurant directly across the street with even more tables, so there's never a problem finding a place to sit and eat peacefully with the kids. Prices: Unbeatable for the area. A glass of Var wine for €2 and soft drinks for €3. A complete dinner for three for the price of a single dish on the Promenade des Anglais. If you want the real taste of Nice, the authentic, timeless experience, this is the place. 100% recommended. An extra detail for your review: If you'd like, you can add that the street it's on (Rue du Collet) is one of the most vibrant in the city, right next to Place Saint-François, where the fish market used to be.

26/02/2026: Absolutely delicious. The tempo is very relaxed we had a 19:30 booking and were done at midnight. But everything was delicious. We would go back.

13/02/2026: Two Star? Not for me. In same trip we also ate at Le Jules Verne and Le Tour d'Argent (both two stars) and unfortunately, Flaveur is not on the same level for food or service. It does take five hours to go through the experience as they time everything out for the entire restaurant. The problem is at that speed, everything is so slow it kills the mood. Others may like that pace, but it is not for us.
