19/09/2025: Very bad experience with a server (or the boss?) with gray hair who outright threw the menu in our face and spoke very badly to us, we were clearly not welcome. The white wine tasted of vinegar, frankly we didn't understand. We are from Nice and we have never been treated like that. So since there is a gay bar opposite, they probably don't want "this clientele" to overflow into their place and so we were mistreated for this purpose, because unless they did it on purpose, I don't see.
11/09/2025: We're always warmly welcomed at Café du Pin!
Excellent service and a varied menu make it the perfect place for a drink with friends!

11/01/2026: Very disappointed. My partner and I went there before a movie. The €18 set menu seemed reasonable, so we opted for it, but in the end, it was very disappointing. The shrimp salad was swimming in sweet sauce. The fried rice was mushy and tasteless. The duck curry was anything but. We were still looking for the duck.
In short, we tried it and we won't be back.

Ridiculous! The one star is for the fact that they were showing football on TV.
On top of that, you have to go to the bar to order and there's no table service. You'd expect that for an €8 beer.
Go to a kiosk in Nice, buy a drink there, and sit on the promenade – you'll get much more out of it!

30/09/2024: Be careful, crook and bad faith of the room manager,
Magnificent terrace and quality cuisine but unfortunately the chef refused to open the parasol for us due to the wind while 2 other tables kept theirs open, forcing us to move inside.
The room manager gave us a first bill with an error, then a second with another error before providing us with a bill just over €80 apart).

20/09/2024: Very authentic Taiwanese steamed buns and salty crispy chicken. Very delicious. The store clerk is also very friendly. I feel so touched to be able to eat such amazing Taiwan food in Nice. I highly recommend it.
19/09/2024: It’s delicious. I’ve eaten too much French and Italian food, and suddenly I taste the taste of home. I love it.
Based on traditional flavors, they further added sweet and sour taste (passion fruit, lemon peel, etc.) to make it less greasy, and also alleviated the greasy feeling of French and Italian meals for a week.

02/10/2024: Katarina was the waitress helping me out. Got to say that she is very patient and the food in the restaurant was delicious.
Service was slightly slow but only because they did not have enough staffing. The staff were doing their best.
Had the tuna salad and calamari with artichokes.
Toilets were clean
01/10/2024: Love this place for the past 35 years ... where you can still enjoy topical Nicoise food.
Try the fleurs de cougette, bagna cauda, petits farcis, artichauts salad... and for desert try profiteroles au chocolat😃

Terrible mcdonalds in the world.
I ordered just one coffee , and even though the coffee came out right there, the staff ignored me and waited for 40 minutes. Terrible. Horrible. Don’t go.

04/07/2025: Due to various factors impacting our trip we ate here a few times as it was the only place open on Sunday. The staff are excellent and very welcoming. Every meal we had here, steak, fish, pizza was very good….that is why we kept going back! If you are staying in any of the nearby hotels I highly recommend this little restaurant.
02/07/2025: At L’ETNA restaurant the quality of the food and wine is excellent all round. The Staff are friendly and hard working and you will remember them after a visit or two. Rim has a very warm personality, makes you feel at home and almost knows what you like from once you arrive. We can recommend this restaurant highly and it is definitely not the type of place you would expect to stumble upon in this particular area. We will always come back to this little gem.
