09/07/2025: I found a “lemon” beer that I like at The Blarney Stone pub in Bordeaux! Yes, I was drinking beer in Bordeaux! Haha
The server was very nice and thoughtful in his suggestions. This pub is basically across the street from the old bell. So, wafter viewing the bell (and Victor Hugo’s falling car, half a block down the street) stop in here for a pint or two! There is both inside and outside seating.
21/06/2025: My historic pub. Central, friendly waiters, decent food. Interesting happy hour. Beers not given, but same price as elsewhere. Pleasant terrace in summer. And then you won't miss any rugby or even football matches. Giant screen but without sound which allows others to chat. I looooooooove

The place is nicely decorated, the dish was good, but surprised by the portion of the dish alone at 15€ which was smaller than the version in the brunch at 25€ including 2 drinks, a savory dish, a granola and a dessert…
Reserving on the restaurant's website is laborious, you have to wait for the restaurant to accept while you choose the available slots.
I had to call the restaurant 2 hours later for them to validate my reservation request.
01/12/2024: Super good. We had a great time. We were a large group (and had booked well in advance) we waited to be served (no problem that it took time given our number). After 1h30 there, shortly after collecting the last drinks and dishes, we were asked to leave because our table was reserved afterwards. We hadn't finished eating.
Too bad, we could have been warned before.

The bar was very empty around 6:30 p.m. but it was completely full around 8:30 p.m.

15/09/2024: "We had lunch there, and my experience at the market is very positive. It's a very popular place and, to my surprise, very tasty too. There is also seafood, cheeses and all that to proximity. We really liked it.

13/12/2024: Unfriendly waiters. Beers served without foam and without bubbles for €6.50, a disappointment. The broom that sits right in the middle of the room, super classy. In short, to be avoided.

04/09/2024: I find the negative 1 star comments very very harsh. Came at 3 for lunch in September, the entrecôtes were good, good proportion of fries. The service is fast and the servers are pleasant.
03/09/2024: Too bad because the place is great, tavern decor, spacious, great for groups and children.
Extremely long service, for oysters without the shells inside it's better.. ok it can happen but within 24 what's the matter!
Expensive price for the quality and quantity.
It was an experience to have but too sideways.

24/09/2024: I recently discovered the kebab at Georges, often cited among the best in town. The meat is well grilled, both tender and full of flavor, with controlled seasoning. The homemade tortilla pancake brings an artisanal touch that makes all the difference.
The service is up to par: fast and warm, in a clean establishment, even if the atmosphere remains rather simple. It's the perfect place to enjoy a meal without fuss, but with authentic and well-crafted flavors.
If I had to note one small point for improvement, it would be on the portions, which could be a little more generous. That said, the quality remains excellent and the value for money is very attractive with a menu for €9, drink included.
Quick tip: Pay attention to the hours, as it seems that the restaurant sometimes closes earlier than the hours shown on Google. Today, for example, it closed at 2:30 p.m. instead of 3 p.m.

31/08/2024: Très bonne surprise pour moi. Je ne m'attendais pas à une telle qualité des plats. J'ai particulièrement aimé la raviole aux champignons, le thon était très bon aussi. Des goûts super, fins, équilibrés. Des assiettes bien servies. Un service agréable, peut-être un tout petit peu trop lent à mon goût entre les différents plats. Un bel endroit aussi. J'y retourne dès que je peux !
24/08/2024: De l'accueil à la sortie en passant par le cadre magnifique, tout à été parfait dans cette soirée au 4ème mur. L'equipe est top et à l'écoute du client, les plats sont succulents, ni trop copieux ni trop peu, juste ce qu'il faut. Tout est fait pour passer un très bon moment. Même l'addition que l'on pourrait penser élever dans ce genre d'établissement surtout portant le nom d'un grand chef est dans la norme.
Une très grande découverte et une soirée à renouveler et à recommander.

Le cadre est sympa, chaleureux.
Les serveurs ne sont pas particulièrement agréables.
Le rapport qualité prix n’est pas au rendez vous. Une raclette en quantité certes mais sans goût, charcuterie pas à tomber et pareil pour les pommes de terre.
Comme par hasard, les vins les moins chers n’étaient plus en stock.
Des écriteaux sur les murs un peu déplacés.
Ils font des économies sur tout pour un prix élevé. Je ne reviendrai pas.
04/12/2024: Je suis pas connaisseur mais j’ai voulu tester la fondue savoyarde avec de la viande de grison en complément. J’ai adoré. Les quantites sont bien pas trop juste ce qu’il faut. Pain de qualité. Prix 32 euros c’est raisonnable. Salle rustique style chalet de montagne , par contre manque de chauffage. Service efficace un mercredi midi. Ambiance calme trop calme.

06/08/2024: Excellent subdued atmosphere in this cocktail bar where the bartenders are very attentive to the customers. A very nice cocktail menu and suggestions based on tastes, all done to perfection. The boards and tapas are excellent.
23/07/2024: delicious cocktail... beautiful venue... friendly barman... correct price... if you happen to be in Bordeaux, take a step further along the Garonne (city side) and go to this place... the bathrooms are also very nice ... to come back if it happens!
